Got the splus a few days back and i must say, it really impressed me fOr the price

Wow this is great. I wouldn't know of phones with this feature though I may be wrong. I've only heard of apps used to minimize YouTube videos on android. Another reason to get the splus

Olodo they are almost 10 samsung galaxy devices from j1 ace, those 15, 18 25k galaxy phones, usrt because they are samsung doesn't mean they would have great cameras, go out and do your findings then come back and argue with facts

Nobody is saying the phone is not bad O. But everyone knows the camera is not so nice, but people must argue

Bro you say it's the most useless ever, I have seem a camera test of the camon c8 and the galaxy s4 and the canon won the day, google is your friend go out and verify, say what you may but it does sport an ok camera, the phamtom 5 probably has the best mtk phone camera and there is actually a thread here where it's camera was put to a test against the big lovely Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and it won the day, I am not a fan of most tecno, innjoo or infinix devices cos their ui, specs and cameras are usually below par but camera wise, Tecno Phamton 5 is a killer where we agree is the fact that it isn't by megapixel size, yes I agree on that one but also edit your post, u made it sound like all iphones has a 12 mp, no they don't but what they all usually have in common is a great camera, I know as I have used the 5s and I loved it 8mp back camera and it's front cam took great pics too

I keep saying this, 13mp and yet the camera is trash.it happens all the time, people dont learn. But Gionee's cameras are always good

please, the fact that its 13mp does not mean ita great, i have handled that phone and the front camera looks like what is out on 10k phones and below. That camera is poo and the design, very ugly looking. The phone looks like a skateboard

even the gionee m5 that is half the price if this tecno is way better. Take out the finger print of the phantom 5 and all u have is an empty air space.

This is true. But now new brands like gionee are coming up with equally cheap smart phones of better quality. It won't take a day to win over the market but it would happen and soon. There is already a massive gionee awareness due to is outstanding quality.

That's not totally correct. Every business man or corporate body Is out there to maximise profit But they need to study what the people actually want. Tecno knew economic situation in Nigeria especially as we have more lower income earners than higher income earners. They decide to come out with cheap and affordable phone for Nigerians especially the lower income earners. They step up their game in the launch of high quality phones at high price but how many persons actually bought it?. so they knew what they were doing before now and they understand the market very well

Tecno has a lot of fans and even more enemies and yes it's more popular in Nigeria. The thing is people don't know gionee and it's sad. I use a gionee splus, when I bought it all my friends were yabbing me, until I showed them it's amazing specs. Stop a random person and say gionee or tecno, they'd say tecno because they don't know gionee so gionee needs to publicize well.
But I see a lot of threads about gionee here and I'm happy, meaning they know what they are doing and Nigerians will soon get the message.

Tecno is successful in Africa, true, but it's mostly due to lack of awareness than production of good quality phones. Especially Nigerians, they just buy the phones whose adverts they have seen without checking out specs. That's why they've been able to gain ground only in Africa and not other parts of the world. A brand that has consistently insisted on not making updates available on its phone should not be taken seriously.

I've used the 3brands and they all have their pro and cons
Infinix is good phone but their problem is lack of premium design ( even the zero 3 has too much bezzles.. they almost got it right with zero 2 design wise)..another major problem is their battery.. unless you're using hot note and hot note pro ...all other infinix phones sucks in battery performance but they are better than tecno when it comes to releasing updates..infinix released updates for their mid range and low ends devices ( though not via OTA) .


Tecno has trust of durability ,good battery ,average design but their major flaw remains the lack of updates...not even on their expensive flagship phone ...buy a tecno phone you're stuck with its out of the box OS. people who still buy techno are those who are crazy for phantom 5 or are just beginners in the android race


Gionee..among these three only Gionee is globally recognised brand and its devices are listed and featured in gsmarena...they offer value for money but are quite expensive ..they're elites when it comes to battery performance,their battery last wells but also takes time to charge( their high end devices features quick charge but low ends doesn't ) and the good thing is that there's always custom ROMs and tweak for every Gionee phone due to its wide fanbase outside Nigeria ... so you wouldn't have to bother so much for OTA update .
PS: I use an infinix phone and Samsung ...

A true fan of Tecno any day any time. Talk of durability, affordability and sound functionality. My experience with infinix zero is not friendly at all, infinix batteries sucks.

All three phones have their pros and cons. Tecno phones are not highly durable and their lack of updates is so annoying, people have been complaining about it, why won't they do something? But their phones have good quality design.

Infinix phones are affordable and durable but battery life is quite poor and their camera sucks big time.

Gionee is quite inconsistent with pricing. But what I like is their display is the best of the three, and camera quality is always on point irrespective of MP. They also have best battery life among the three.

Very fresh I trust gionee to always deliver

I have used several android phones and tecno phantom 5 was the worst of them. After only a month, I started experiencing several problems. Gionee products are never like that. You can expect top quality for the price you're paying. I used a z3, currently using an splus and I've seen the p5w in use. Don't be deceived. Go for quality and durability.

Just ignore thwse tecno fan boys who cant recognize a good thing qhen they see one

People like you can't buy because it's N18,000 Gionee phone. Let me tell you, ask people using it. The 13mp Camera is the best on any Chinese phones in Nigeria now.
