Education / Re: 3rd Class Degree, Or No Degree At All: Which Is Better? by andywaves(m): 9:27pm On Mar 09, 2013
1st class ,3rd class the important thing is knowing who u are and what u can do going thru school is very important but what you really need in life is exposure not certification education is good enlightenment is better a lot of graduates just come out of school and end up working for uneducated or even the lesser qualified man how many doctorate holders (i mean phd not honorary) or profs do you know that have companies that employ hundreds of people most of them i know r in one form of paid employment or the other don't get me wrong that's not a bad thing.

u guys take time out to check ur landlords how many of em r first class graduates or masters holders am not saying there none bt the ratio doesn't stand out often times you see the mechanic been landlord to the mechanical engineer.the exposure you get from going thru the walls of the university is unparalleled but then it leads to every very false sense of superiority complex. your certificate is rubbish if you know what you carry carry on the inside of you just believe in your self and pursue your passion and you will be surprised at what u can achieve.

But let me emphasis this NEVER NEVER LET ANY MAN I DON'T CARE WHO HE IS (DEAN OF FACULTY,UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR, LECTURER, FRIEND, BROTHER, FATHER, MOTHER, CERTIFICATE, APTITUDE TEST, JOB INTERVIEW E.T.C) tell you that you r not good enough. according to my big bros the most brilliant man that ever lived Albert Einstein 'Every man is a genius but if you were to judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid but put it in it's right place and it would shine like the stars.

I am talking from experience i graduated with a 3rd class in engineering 11 yrs ago but now.... well that's a tale for another day but am blessed moving from financial security which is what most people struggle for to financial freedom where u just smile grin grin

Man certifies but God qualifies

Science/Technology / Re: New Tattoo Calls For Help When You Are Sick by andywaves(m): 1:16am On Feb 13, 2013
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he doesn't exist. a lot of u r missing the point all the cell phones n digital equipment ur mentioning, they r not attached to ur person so u can drop em anything time. but this is different i mean its on u day n night watching n reporting ....so there must be a base station somewhere to receive the signal. man that is really freaking me out. and for those of u that just remain nonchalant about it it will gradually be forced on u just like the bank now say withdrawing less than 40k should be done on an atm machine meaning everybody should get an atm card.A few years down the line there will be upgrades, new versions or models then pimped up tattoos that can tell when ur sick and can recharge ur phone n pay ur bills @ the same time, before u know it u will have ur drivers license n credentials all on it. a few more years and u will b able to load money on it to buy ur groceries.so tell me wats d difference btwn that n d mark of the beast barely ten years ago when phones came all we could do was make calls n send text messages now ten yrs after the whole world is in ma phone i can buy, sell n do everything cept take a crap in ma phone.some people even have phone intimacy. when the bible said d messiah was coming d jews were xpectin a someone lookin like gerald butler n his 300 no one xpected the carpenters son to be the man that time and date will be calibrated around but he ate, slept n drank with them, they looked at him everyday without realising. and 2000 years after his death we still discuss and argue about him everyday pls if anyone can point in the direction of any book that so greatly affects the affairs of the world 2013 years after it was written i will love to read it but till then MY PEOPLE WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE FOR IT IS MORNING.

Car Talk / Re: An Ideal Car For A N80k Monthly Salary Earner. Please advice. by andywaves(m): 6:48am On Sep 10, 2012
Siena:

An older car bought cheaply will be an easy purchase, the upkeep costs will however be high. A newer car bought at a higher than average cost will be a more costly initial investment, but upkeep costs are likely to be lower.

It all depends on the way you look at the picture. The emphasis on the cars maintained in your family is on "we". So a lot easier than a single individual living away from home. Besides, running costs of an automobile were relatively low 10 years ago, compared to today.

bro that is not always the case the older car parts r relatively a lot cheaper than the newer models i might go to the mechanic 2/3 times in two months n u might go once in three months and i will still end up spending less than you i.e the 2009 honda accord spark plugs go for about 10k if you change that once that is about about 5 yrs worth of plugs for any 90's car not all sha bt the small/mid size sedans

i am yet to see a man who survives on his salary alone life (God) has a way of balancing out these things and i believe that where there is a will there is a way no one says you have to drive to work every blessed day the day you dont have money for fuel u take a bus or you use the car on selective days its done every where in the world you know n i know loads of people with income less than his with cars when going to work they pick up friends n colleagues who occasionally help out with fuel costs as long as u r not an xtravagant guy n u have job security u will do well a lot of people burn more than it takes to run a car at the beer tables monthly without batting an eyelid.just dont buy anuthing with a big engine or too flashy

Car Talk / Re: The Rise Of “Big For Nothing” (2002 – 2006 Toyota Camry) by andywaves(m): 5:13pm On Sep 06, 2012
I really think toyota dissapointd its buyers with this car in this year alone I know of 6 diffrent "big 4 nuttin" camry's with complete engine change for a car less than 10yrs old that is unpardonable when u add dat to the soft shocks and bland interior.and d car feels so light when moving bt its accelration is beautiful bt d let down is from its 2.4 ltr aluminum engine toyota should go back to the more durable cast iron engine in d tiny light or at least try to improve on its 2.4 engine the E.O.D beat this one hands down this time

There r many decent cars u can buy with that budget that will be easy on ur pocket in terms of maintenance n fuel
golf 3,
nissan primera 94-97,
mitsubshi galant 94-97
, even a mazda 626
of the same year range n if I would advise buy a manual tranny its easier on d pocket n more fuel efficient and make sure you buy tokunbo u will get more value for your money

@ winzy straight up camry.... More space, more durable, no electrical issues, cheaper parts more accessible technicians n parts great fuel economy although d golf beats it on fuel dependin on engine size I think d camry is a better choice

@bigl sorry bro I ve kinda busy I really don't know much abt d benz a class I know its a 1.6 ltr engine and is good on fuel but don't know how durable it is just cuz its a benz doesn't mean its not prone to problems but if ur using it majorly in lagos I think it should b alrite
Car Talk / Re: 2007 Honda Accord Or 2008 Toyota Camry by andywaves(m): 3:51pm On Sep 04, 2012
Toyota is usually know for reliability but their models from 2002 till date has been plagued with reliabilty issues since they ventured into aluminum alloy engine instead of their reknown cast iron I think they still haven't gotten it right yet n r still experimenting honda had been trying to gear their v6 gearbox right since 1999 and I think they r finally over it
Car Talk / Re: Factors To Note Before Buying A Car by andywaves(m): 12:48am On Sep 01, 2012
it is possible that whoever owned it over there upgraded the engine with that of an accord (if it would fit) but a 2000 civic originally comes with a 1.6 ltr engine, they r very durable and fuel efficient engines.but honda v6 engines are prone to transmission problems if not properly maintained.
Car Talk / Re: Factors To Note Before Buying A Car by andywaves(m): 12:21am On Sep 01, 2012
@avolink correct me if am wrong but the civic doesn't have a v6 engine check well.but any how never fear the civic is always a good buy

people always have the wrong notion bout benz volvos n bmw ,any one of them u buy from the late 90s down is actually very fuel efficient.a lot are actually more so than the toyotas and hondas fuel efficiency depends a lot on engine size, power output(horse power),4 wheel drive, rear or front wheel drive, body mass of vehicle.even your regular toyota camry ,may consume more fuel if the MAF is faulty or air filter dirty and this won't affect the performance of the car just a slight or major increase in fuel consumption will be noticed.
