Takes inspiration from classic horror and lives up to it...

The transformation, the use of shadows, the music and gore are all well done...

I love the made the WereWolf costume practical as opposed to CGI...

Possibly the best Marvel content I've seen this year ...

Only the second goal was his fault, partially, as one could argue he didn't want Hendo to get deleted leaving him free to aim at the post...

Bullet Train

One word aptly and accurately describes this movie - Chaos....

This movie takes you on a train ride, an exhilarating one because it never lets up till the very end...

An assassin who's trying to be more pacifist and as I'm sure you've guessed if you haven't seen it, it doesn't work.. This in itself establishes a cool enough premise to work around or work with but Bullet Train wouldn't be this satisfying if it had only that..
It incorporates years in the making revenge schemes fuelled by betrayal and abandoment...
Throw in a couple of assassins aboard a train who don't know they are pawns on a board spun from a treacherous heart encumbered with heartbreak and voila, you get Bullet Train...

The problem with these kind of movies is that sometimes, the endings feel underwhelming...This doesn't suffer from that weakness, it doesn't let up and keeps on delivering right up till the moment the credits roll...

A definite recommend.

This movie reminded me of Uncut Gems, different and similar at the same time...

Beast..

Love the story, wonky CGI..Kinda took me out of the last battle scene a bit ..

Just the right mix of suspense, emotions and action...

I love how the movie establishes the tumultuous relationship he has with his daughters early on while not dwelling fully on the reasons why, rather, it offers a soft exposition while focusing on the movie's story(saved us from a dreary pity party story)...

The movie makes a compelling argument for the Lion, who's presented as the primary villain (in-movie) because a great tragedy has befallen it...Are it's actions justified?
The movie doesn't go beyond this though, it's content enough to remain a family survival thriller.

The anti-poaching issues raised in the film, which are pertinent to Africa's situation are kinda glossed over...We get to see a satisfying end to the poachers though...


Not so subtle story lines woven into this but it doesn't feel bloated, because the movie focuses on what it wants to be or feels it needs to be to be commercially successful, a family pulling away at its frayed seams brought back together by the will to survive and protect each other....
