RomanceRe: Being Shy: Is this a Good or Bad Thing? by AngelaZ(f): 5:43pm On Nov 16, 2005
ijebuman:
...There's nothing wrong in been shy per se, it only becomes a problem when it interferes or stops you from living a normal happy life or achieving your goals in life. The trick to overcoming shyness is to stop the self criticism, over analysis and don't be too hard on yourself. Accept yourself for who you are and learn to step out of your comfort zone (by taking up new hobbies, learning new skills and doing the things you are normally scared of doing). With time you'll become more self assured and confident of who you are.
Sweetheart, that's what makes it bad, it is THE problem. We are saying the same thing. cool

FamilyRe: My Husband's Affair and the Bellview Plane Crash by AngelaZ(f): 5:15pm On Nov 11, 2005
Legs, I guess pple are thinking it is you that lost your husband because a personal mail was sent to us saying someone sent the mail, therafter, we see on the forum the same story with an identity. Sorry for that, but get the feeling of the affected person and pardon all.

Meanwhile, tell the person with the experience that, if she is a wife, she should KEEP HER MAN. He still LOVES HER and I beleive from all indication, she LOVES HIM TOO. But, if She's a GIRL, She should slap and work away to experience a lonely world, where she will meet alot of FAKE men that will use and dump her or she may even end up being a Moni herslef to someone else.

Many pple have advised aright, She should pray, Love in totality and fix all that her husband complains about. The holy book say's
It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.

Legs? What do you want?
Your marriage can work, if you want it to
and the opposite if you don't.

Search your heart, and follow where it leads.
Be careful and be wise kiss

Nairaland GeneralRe: 15 Minutes Of Fame: Describe Yours by AngelaZ(f): 7:53pm On Nov 07, 2005
I've had several Moments of Fame, one of them was an advert I did on CNN, I was dressed in the Northern Fulani girls attire, I FELT pretty and knew I was looking good, I knew the world would see me. The advert ran for a full week. I was in Eypyt one of the days and the remaining days in Dubai. My mum was proud to tell everyone that it was me and there I was, the all were coming around and asking about the culture and addy. I received calls from friends home and abroad. I can boast of faithful friends I have now via the advert . grin

Another fame I treasure so much is being the NUMBER 1 in my husbands life, he picked me amongst a thousand and one other women to be HIS BRIDE kiss

Thank you all for feeling me, nothing can be better. I am fine and well now.

dablessed:
Angelaz, i feel you!

Dont you worry about your future. The Lord always ever shows up on our behalf and He will in your situation.

It is well with you! But you should remarry Angelaz, at least for the sake of your girl - she needs a father figure in her life. However, pray about it and the lord will send help unto you in this regard.

All the best dear.
Sure Dablessed, I will get married for love and my daughter again.
RomanceRe: Being Shy: Is this a Good or Bad Thing? by AngelaZ(f): 8:50pm On Nov 01, 2005
Dorcas:
well let me say being shy is not as bad as people make it sound I for one I'm a shy person it helps me in a way because i really select my friends very well and anywhere i go i look around before i mix up this has helped me a lot because it does not take me time to read people even though i can keep to my self a lot i have friends and very good ones too and i say my mind too much sef, even though i am a very patient person when i get tired of being patient i blow up and it is terrible.

I therefore do not think that being shy as Angelz put it please take a closer look and I'm sure you'll discover differently.
Being meticulous and being shy are two different things, and it does not sound as if you are shy.
Shy means to be unnerved by the company or attention of others, to be easily scared; bashful or timid,
to be wary or distrustful. Now I ask, Dorcas are you Shy?

wink I met my husband Sept, 1991. I was very young then, I had always told my mum and every one around that I was going to get married at 18, I thought i was kidding but the power of the tongue caught up with me. I had heard alot of good about Matthew (My husband) but thought he was much older and could not think of marrying me, but he did and to my shock he said " ... I am NOT looking for a girlfriend, I want a wife and I see those qualities in you". I had a good laugh first, cos it looked like he was acting a movie. That was in the hospital where my mum was lying ill.

Oct 10th was his birthday, so he took us out to dinner at Durbar Hotel in Kaduna. There he proposed in front of everyone, I was highly touched, moved by his thoughtfulness and romantic taste (He was my kind of dream man, tall, dark, intelligent and handsome gentle military man), I could not help but say Yes! He swept me off my feet, gave a big hug and kissed me passionately. He was irresistable.

... And because he was looking for a wife, we started planning our wedding, by December 22nd, we were married, there was no opposition, he had good records and was lovable. He loved me I MUST CONFESS. He helped with every thing, he had a horrible voice but loved singing to me, his favourite song goes like this

[color=#000099]
My Darlin, how are you doin
My darlin come near min
you are the only one which God has given you to min
My darlin come and kissy your husband.

My honey moon was at my Village, a place called wedi mission (meaning missionaries quaters). It was a beautiful quite peaceful area over looking the river Gongola. If every egg were to be ferterlized, I would have had 1000000000000000000000000000000
kids then, but God said No until six months later. I started getting worried about not concieving immediately but he was there all the way, he had so much faith and kept saying, "It is you I love and want to live the rest of my life with, children are secondary, besides they will come at God's time". Thank God she come on the 7th of May 1993. We wanted a boy but SHE CAME and he named her Eremo (God's Will).

Second week of Sept 1993, he was involved in a fatal motor accident, was hospitalized at the National Hospital Gwagwalada. Four days later (Will brief you another day) I lost my love, my life on the 15th of Sept. He was a perfect Husband and a wonderful father (Wished he lived longer to love her more and the other unborn kids), I had no regrets falling in love with him, if I had to live ten more lives, I will marry him over and over again. I do not think I would have been unfaithful and if he had not gone to be with the Lord, We would have lived forever... LOVE COVERS MULTITUDE OF SINS and LOVE VANISES WHEN GROWTH STOPS. The mind makes or breaks a home. He told me, there was a day in US he walked into a restaurant to have lunch, while he was sitting alone, he noticed a couple in their (About Eighties) walking in, the old man opened the door for his old wife to come in, pulled a chair for her to sit down, went over to sit, then picked up her hand and kissed, while he was ordering for the food, he was busy robbing her hand. That moved him to get married and promised to love his wife till old age (A promise he broke). but man proposes and God ...
FamilyRe: When Love Dies, Will You Stay For The Sake Of Your Children? by AngelaZ(f): 2:48pm On Nov 01, 2005
I can stay. Oracle, that is a beautiful Quote " Love dies only when growth stops".
There are difficult times I know, sometimes all we need is to be apart (Not seperate or divorce) to think things over.
I Have tried it ( I mean with my G) and we came back stronger and better.
RomanceRe: What Do Ladies Hate in Men? by AngelaZ(f): 1:53pm On Nov 01, 2005
Everyones idea is important, but, when you look deep, they are things you can Change eg a man dat has a bad dressense can be corrected, a man with body or mouth odour can be thought how to be clean and use. Listen to this, One day, after church service, I saw this guy with the same clothes he wears to church every service and complained, my aunt said, ... that is a need in his life and God has made you see it, so meet it!

That changed my mindset people. Try it
All you need do is look for the one you are comfortable with and act directly or indirectly, least we hate ALL MEN.
