RomanceRe: Who Makes The First Move, The Man Or The Woman? by AngelaZ(f): 4:26pm On Jan 14, 2006
Todd:
really it would really be nice if for once a girl asked a guy out, it is really not a good feeling for a guy to pluck up the courage to ask a girl out, only to be shot down cry but generly it is guys who have to make the first move.
You know, this is a good one, I will tell you our experience.
On New year day, we went out to the millenium park in Abuja. There were so many people there and you could hardly find a suitable place to sit. We finally got a hilly place.
As we were sitting and Chatting, My Sister Suggested the girls should harass the guys and toast them or just wave at them and see the response, while the guys amongst us do likewise to the Ladies.

Sweethearts, You will not believe it but ALL the guys we called or waved at responded positively. While the guys were disappointed at their passes.

Ladies, did you say it makes us look desperate? I think the guys are more desperate.
This is with no hard feelings, we are just talking. God knows we will be in trouble that is why He made it the other way round.
The Men should do the Finding. grin

With due respect, our dear proponent for "A Place For Thirty-Somethings" must have had an extremely boring day, otherwise, he should have seen this blog as a place to really unwind.

My dear people in Nairaland, is is not correct to think that the more you associate with the young the younger you would be at heart, and the more you feel more comfortable in the midst of people with old school ideas, the quicker grey hair grows on you head.

I'll soon be 34 myself, but I enjoy this site more and more. I more like a 22-year old when it comes to plaing cool
Cool, no one dispute that fact. An additional will do no harm

I agree with you totally. A forum is needed for the Matured minds. We can hardly share our issues, feelings and pains, cos some baby wants his/her voice heard also (You really don't have to talk you know).

Matured Mind here, has nothing to do with age (If you know what I mean). So instead of having a forum for 30s up, It should be called "For the Matured minds" or something, where deep talks is disseminated.

Apologies to the immatures, this is with NO hard feelings, Mummy and Daddy just want to talk.

RomanceRe: Would You Marry a Single Parent? by AngelaZ(f): 12:14pm On Jan 12, 2006
chrisd:
The adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
Chrisd, Being a Single Parent means a mother or father bringing up a child alone. Which also mean you can be a Single parent after being married and along the line one dies or seperate from the other, not neccessarily having a child outside wedlock.

... another thing you have to be careful about is not to be fast by "acting God" in judging people. If an Adulterer or adulteress amends his/her ways with God, are you telling me such a person will go to hell? Hell No.
RomanceRe: Would You Marry a Single Parent? by AngelaZ(f): 3:53pm On Jan 11, 2006
If I was asked this question some years back I would say No, But now, that I am older and in the shoes, I would say
YES, cos I know better.

With Maturity, Love and Fear of God, you can sail the boat.

We ain't seen nothing yet. God is going to make all the politicians bring out their dirty deals to the public. If they do not talk , their children and grand children will. Lets watch them put themselves to shame. Everyone will reap what he or she has sown.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Bar Beach Towers Residents Forcefully Evicted (Contrary to Court Ruling) by AngelaZ(op): 12:03am On Dec 07, 2005
We all knew when all the towers in Lagos and 1004 were up for sale, Last year or early this year I think (cant remember when exactly), but the residents opposed it and came to a concensus that they were up for bidding. A case was raised in court and after a very long period, last saturday, we were told we won the case and can remain in our houses. In that relaxed greatful attitude was when the devil stroke (like a thief in the night), no one was prepared.

Bagoma, 1004 is not the same but as I speak, their presence is there, they may be evicted tomorrow or this week, We cant predict. Phew !

Nairaland GeneralBar Beach Towers Residents Forcefully Evicted (Contrary to Court Ruling) by AngelaZ(op): 11:32pm On Dec 06, 2005
Bar Beach Towers Residents Evacuated By Force

My Country people, what has our country turned out to be ? A Lawless land?
At about 4:20am on this faithful day,the 6th of December, all residents of Bar beach tower were fast asleep
When all of a sudden, there was this thunderous noise outside, and before anyone could say Jack Robinson,
the whole Estate was inveded by the Army, police and Naval solders. After pulling down the main gate, they rushed
into the blocks like a raging fire, banging and breaking down doors, telling the occupants to move out of the premises with immediate effect. shocked

Children crying cry, mothers begging, but all in vain.

On coming back home, early hours at about 6.45 am after studies, i found out I could not go into my Street and get home at the towers. The street was closed by armed men, not letting anyone including those of us living there to go to our houses. In My presence, the army men almost hit some press men (They took to there hills), infact, a military man was proud to say, go and ask Channels what I did to them.

It is a pity what our leaders can do to its citizens. Only in Nigeria, the law supercedes the press, and the law makers change the law at random.

Many are declared homeless now. Will Nigeria ever get better? We seem to be too gentle, Sometimes you don't blame the Liberians and sierrelonians.

Where is our hope? Do we still have faith?

Folks, you know what? I was highly embarrassed one day in the process of hiding my number.

There was this guy I admired alot but never wanted him to know, so from time to time I would call to hear his voice,
after doing it for a while, to my shock, one day he said hello angela, I passed out immediately ! (If you know what I mean ladies).

Some have that access ineffective, Be careful !
