Dembele did barely enough last season to deserve the Ballon D’Or. However, he’s a one season wonder like Rodri who won’t be able to replicate that kind of top form again. Lamine Yamal should hold his head up; he’s the future of football. His time will surely come.
Drink water and rest abeg...!

Whether one season or half season... The award is per season not based on history.

In the season under review, Dembele excelled, won all top titles, and fully deserved this award.

End of discussion!

Congratulations to him... So well deserved!

What a journey he has had... From injuries, disciplinary issues, almost written off as a player, now the winner of the most prestigious individual award in the world of football.

Here we thought Mbappe and Haaland would win this at least twice before any other player.

Life is such an amazing thing.

This is what I keep talking about...! We are shouting more tax and more tax.

No one is talking about transparency, accountability and a corrupt-free system of using revenue strictly for national good.

For over 6 decades since Independence, Nigerian revenue has been largely shared by a privileged few.

Even a child in UK, U.S and Canada joyfully pays taxes... This is because he or she can personally be given detailed account of what his tax is used for.

Please, don't be dull...!

No American will ask such a question if such happens in their country.

The entire Police, Army and Security forces are directly within Tinubu's control as the President... That means the buck stops at his desk.

Such news will worsen the economy by keeping investors and other incoming diasporeans from setting foot here.

Do you know how many huge economic opportunities we have lost over the years because of this insecurity?!!

No serious President will be conditioned to allow such thrive under his watch...!

Why didn't Tinubu keep quiet over Rivers state crisis?!! Why did he declare a state of emergency?!!

How many lives were lost in Rivers?!!
Politics › Re: Katsina Ala Chairman Receives Bodies Of 8 Policemen Killed By Bandits - Graphic by Angelfrost(m): 1:27pm On Sep 22, 2025
This will be swept under the carpet, as usual...!

Lives of lowly Nigerians mean nothing to your leaders.

Kill a single police officer in any serious nation, and watch the President declare WAR!

Here, even after slaughtering Soldiers and Policemen in numbers, these terrorists still get treated like VIPs.

Who are we deceiving in this so called fight against terrorism... Absolutely no sign of seriousness.

The irony of life...!

If Mbappe had remained at PSG, worked with Enrique, and succeeded with him, this would have been his award.

Then again, if he remained, PSG might have remained unable to soar by unleashing the rest of the team.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: 2025: Ousmane Dembele To Win Ballon D'or - Report by Angelfrost(m): 12:47pm On Sep 22, 2025

No one else comes close... Now that I think of it, not even Yamal.

City win a corner right at the end of the half. But the referee blows the whistle before they can take it.

Very poor officiating.
Well, corner kicks at halftime marks are usually at the discretion of the referee... They can choose to allow or forego.

Most times, they don't allow.

Why not?!!

Eze won a trophy with Palace.

They are gifted players.

Only a clueless manager will prevent Arsenal from winning the league.

For now, Glasner (Crystal Palace) or Iraola (Bournemouth). They might not give us the league, but I'm sure they'll do a lot better than Amorin
Olivier Glasner plays a similar system to Amorim at Palace, and has been unbeaten for a while with the team looking better than even City and Chelsea.

So, he might do slightly better... Keyword being "slightly".

Iraola will fumble badly in Man United. He will be just like Potter to Chelsea, or Moyes to Man United after Ferguson.

At the end of the day, both of them will still fail at United...!
