Even when you place them in comfortable and wealthy positions, they must still find ways to defraud or cheat the system.

It will take centuries and generations of mental cleansing and rehabilitation to purge this perverse love for money out of young and older Nigerians.

The way many of us worship and glorify money is shocking and saddening.

FYI guys, do you know that Godwin Obaje has been playing in the NPFL since year 2010 or thereabouts? That's almost 15yrs and he's just scoring his 100 career goals as a striker.
Should we average 100 goals in 15yrs, that should be 7 goals every season.
Is that average befitting for a striker?

Now lets leave that aside, do you guys know that they have been home based African Nations cup for over 10yrs and Nigeria is yet to win it with the likes of this same Obaje and co.
Nigeria only make the final once and lost. And ever since it has been group stage exit which recently happened under Eric Chelle. And Obaje was among the team last year.

Godwin Obaje has led Rangers Int'l of Enugu to so many CAF competitions. They hardly qualify to the group stages talkless of quarter finals or semi finals.
Same with other home based players currently now.
See the earlier we tell ourselves the truth, the better for us. Nigeria football is at its lowest ebb at the moment.
We're no longer churning out talents like we used to before. And it's showing in all our age grade to senior level teams.

I laugh when people after the latest Super Eagles outings clamouring for total overhaul of the team. I then asked, apart from this present crop of players in the Eagles. Where else do we think we have the quality players to take us to the eldorado of football.

Who told you these players are not committed, who told you they don't want to win matches. The truth is, they can't give out what they don't have. They're giving out their best out there but that best is their limit.

And the painful part is that, we don't have better players out there in Europe/world nor here at home. So we're stuck with these present ones.

He should have at least given him even if it's 10mins of playtime.

Bear in mind that Ronaldo really desires to clock 1000 career goals. The coach should have left him out of the squad if he had no intention of playing him.

It's a coach's prerogative to decide how his team is set up throughout any match, and what players to bring on.

They had a slim lead, and he needed to maintain the game intensity... Clearly, Ronaldo is no longer that sharp commanding figure to ensure that.

Imagine bringing him on, and the opponents equalized... Even you would have blamed the coach.

At some point, you all need to lower Ronaldo from that pedestal... Every team should come first ahead of any player regardless of his past achievements.
