Well... Nigerians can't announce what they can't see.

...And in order for them to see the achievements clearly, the ministers have to announce and explain the announcements to them.

Buhari's CBN governor blamed Jonathan...!

By next administration, you and your boss will be blamed by your equally clueless successors.

The blame game has no end... It's a needless vicious cycle.

It's either you idiots have solutions, or you are just wasting your time and the time of Nigerians, while making things worse.

What's tribal about the Op's post

It's just a factual post. Either he opened a thread on it or not, it's not gonna change the reality on ground

That's you see this as a tribal post is even worrying

Not the post in itself... The interactions on the thread actually.

You know I am right... That you feel the need to be needlessly defensive is far more worrying.

Tribalism is burying this nation as fast as corruption.

One of the African fools who thought that marriage to a European lady is the path to validation. What a fool.

Maybe you should research the equally high number of African men who suffered worse divorce fallouts after marrying their fellow blacks or Africans...!

I know several that married in Africa here, and got cleaned out abroad upon relocating.

The laws affect any man caught in a messy divorce regardless of the wife's race or ethnicity.

Another smart and compulsory option should be Prenup.

grandstar:

The interest rates need to be higher than inflation.

Presently, inflation is 33%, while the CBN rate is 28.5%. It needs to be higher than inflation to be effective.

Economist like to use a phrase "in real terms"

Recently, a microfinance bani through their bank wanted me to save with them, offering me 20% interest rates.

I rejected it because it was lower than inflation. Though it looked tempting, the fact the rate was lower than inflation, this put me off.

Saving rate - the inflation rate

20%-33% = -13%.

In real terms, I was losing 13%.

If they offered me 35%, I would most likely have jumped at it as I would make 2% in real terms.

Inflation is too high and it's hurting everyone.

Damn... For a second, I almost thought you knew what you were talking about till your exposed your ignorance with this post.

Abeg... Never be quick to play Devil's advocate without adequate knowledge of national economy, especially fast declining one like Nigeria.

Let's just be honest...

There is almost no correlation between increasing rate and dropping the inflation or cushioning it.

You already increased the rate twice, and inflation galloped further with it, coupled with the negative effects on many industries and businesses.

Most top investors have already packed up and fled the nation, and the likelihood of attracting newer ones just took a further nosedive.

Almost 2 years in office, yet local industrialisation is still a mirage.

Last time they were in the Middle East, they shipped away lots of these "weapons" back to America...!

Trust America not to miss such a rare opportunity to bring "peace" and remove "weapons of destruction" from warring nations that have no direct business with them.

It's okay to evangelise or preach, or even publicise church programs, but we must draw the line!

Let's not confuse or muddy the line between spreading the Gospel and constituting public nuisance.

I concur 100%, the other day I was approaching the security gate of my estate, I was only a few meters away from the gate and prepping the security men to open the barriers when the driver behind me overtook just to get into the estate before me. I was shocked but also not too surprised because whenever I am on Lagos road I assume majority of the drivers are mad.

Honestly, I have continued to wonder what possesses an average Nigerian when he is behind the wheels...!

Like, wetin dey happen? Especially once the road is clean and free of potholes.

If we had the quality of roads abroad, trust me, the accident rate would make Guiness Book of records dizzy with shock!

Part of the way forward should be to revoke many driving licenses, and insist on driving tests for all new drivers.

Even older drivers should be made to repeat driving assessments every year.

We don't drive in Nigeria we move the vehicles and attempt to hit anything on the road. We lack driving culture. Everyday I see it when driving. Many people just know how to move cars.

Lane changing anyhow, taking u turns anyhow , not knowing when yo give way. Impatience is another thing.

Drive outside this country and you'll really like it. Friends who come back home cannot drive, I'm the designated driver and dee as they hang on to thier seat belts and I consider myself sane

Brother, the insanity among Nigerian drivers is worth studying...!

It's actually strange!

Dangote played into the tax collector's trap by building that plant there.
Those bandits have hijacked that state once known for it's excellence just because of greed and the painful aspect of it is that it's just someone from nowhere that is calling the shot. All is greed and greed.
Building a coastal high way of fraud to nowhere just to toll the road and surely will be family business. The real Lagosians are still sleeping and others that awake are been confused with the tribal shit! If you don't have any thriving business, a good paying job or leaking their smelling ass just know that lagos is not for you irrespective of your tribe.

Sigh... What exactly are you ranting off about now?!!

Is there anywhere in the developed world where major companies and corporations are not heavily taxed?!!

Dangote is a business man, whatever he pays as taxes will be reflected on the fuel price. Simple!

If don't believe in prayers is fine but don't discourage people

Read to understand, not just to comment or respond!

I believe in prayers, but even your Bible says: Faith without work is dead.

Praying without needed or necessary awareness and warnings or counselling is the reason why Nigeria has more road accident deaths than less religious and praying nations like Japan and Singapore.

That's the same reason we have worse leaders and a dying nation compared to irreligious nations, which your prayer warriors flee to whenever they get the opportunity.
