Men are in love; women are in business....deep!
Weird how the reverse was the case not even up to a decade ago...!

How times have changed!

The games of playing with people's hearts that our fathers and forefathers played are now being played by today's women, and will be mastered by the growing girls of today.

The future will be terrible for weak, emotional and trusting men! tongue

Correct, but he could also be denied parole.
Yes indeed... Once they deem him unrepentant and unchanged.

Especially if he joins a prison gang or is involved in violent acts.

No, he will never be out, 40 years is the start of his life sentence. After 40 years he will apply for parole which the parole board would deny.
Not necessarily... There are several lifers who got out on parole after some decades for good or reformed behavior.

Sigh... We don't value teachers in this country.

If we had a serious government and a working economy with great Labor laws, no teacher should earn below the minimum wage, whether public or private.

There should be a law against such reprehensible nonsense!

If you can't pay a bare minimum wage, then you have no business owning or running a school!

If doctors and nurses in the private sector are not underpaid, why should teachers?!!

Education and Health are not sectors that any nation should joke with...!

Even in Afghanistan, Vietnam, and Libya, teachers are not this insulted!

Most of the teachers even work far longer hours than their mates in the public sector...!

We shouldn't condone modern slavery!

2. Exposure and Environment - How academically and intellectually oriented is the environment?

3. Family Backgrounds - Families lacking in intellect and academic grace will more than likely always bring forth offsprings in the same vein.

He has no point sir.
A country that encourages its citizens to run from the country in words and deeds is going to offer them to such unsavoury episodes.
Nigeria is not the first. Other countries with useless leaders have seen their citizens go through such hazards to escape the wanton hopelessness in their countries.
The point being made is the country must offer the citizens a reason to believe in the country instead of leaders from the president to the ministers encouraging citizens to japa.
Only irresponsible leaders do that
My good friend... Your point is awesome, and it makes me sad how far we have fallen as a nation.

Still, wisdom remains profitable in all things.

If Nigerian leaders hate their citizens, then the citizens should not hate themselves or subject themselves to perils.

Don't you think the leaders know these things, yet turn blind eyes and deaf eyes to these cries?!!

They are even making the Japa process more tedious, and trying to make more money off those trying to leave!

They are not bothered about transforming the nation so that the few great minds won't be stolen by better nations...

Honestly, they don't even see a future for the very nation they lead and steal from!

That's why they loot at every chance they get... All their kids and families are secured and living large abroad!

Don’t mind them!

Stupid things with no brain.

These are not poor folks.

They spend thousands of dollars to get on these trips to Libya and all these places.

Money Miss Road I call them.

Use that money and start a thriving business in Nigeria, no.

Their greed and inferiority complex will drive them to Libya through the Sahara to end up as slaves in their bid to land in Europe to wash toilets and work as security guards.

Meanwhile Chinese and Indians are flooding Nigeria to start businesses.

It’s pathetic.
Omo... If you don't have the brain for business, is it not even better to fix the money or buy good shares?!!

I rather flex that money on myself than embark on such a dangerous and useless journey.

I think this is beyond hating one's country... These people must hate themselves to subject their physical and mental health to such perils!

Libya of all nations! Haha!

I won't even go there for free! Never!!!

Congrats!!

You've broken the guiness records for consecutive posts with no atom of sense.

The govt continues to encourage its citizens to leave the country.

Which decent govt encourages its citizens in words and deeds to run from the country?

They keep mouthing foreign remittance from those who japa as justification.

Which responsible country chooses money in foreign currency over the confidence of the citizens in the future of their country?

When your mother tells you to go and take fish from her neighbour's pot to drink your afternoon garri, you no longer bother about the legality or otherwise of the assignment.

Get sense this minute!!
He does have a point tho...!

While I agree that Nigeria is almost a failed state, what justification does anyone have to try to leave the nation illegally?!!

Are we at war?!! Ukrainians who have full justification to flee their nation don't do so as ridiculously and desperately as most Nigerians!

Who in his or her right senses tries to sneak into Europe through war-ravaged and extremist nations in their desert?!! Does that even make sense to any sane mind?!!

The other day was a shocking video of Blacks, some Nigerians, stuck in the middle of the ocean!

If our leaders have gone mad, must citizens go mad too?!!

Between a retrogressing Nigeria not yet in the dustbin like Haiti and Sri Lanka, and Libya, which should any normal human being choose?!!

Think about it!

The day I found out the amount of money these people spend on these perilous sojourn, I literally gasped! Like wtf?!!

Stay in your country if you don't have the legal and adequate means to Japa, una say no!!!

Is it not better to use that illegal Japa money to start pure water or catering or any small business here in Nigeria, or neighboring West African nation than risking your freedom and life trying to sneak into Europe via desert nations?!!

Even after all the news and reports about how North Africans treat and kill Black Africans, una still insist on putting una coconut heads there...!

Buhari would have managed the economy better than Tinubu. Tinubu knows little or nothing about the economy except how to use thugs to extract money from transport companies
Stop this please...!

Buhari buried the economy, and laid the firm foundation for anyone coming after him to fail woefully and carry the blame.

Not even the best brains in the universe could have performed any miracle after Buhari's treacherous 8 years.

A more intelligent and moral person might have done better than Tinubu, but it would still be a very long and tedious way back to the top.

The truth is, fuel Subsidy should have been removed as far back as 2012...!

This is why Tinubu can never be forgiven!

He helped hamper that smart and futuristic economic move, and went on to help install a generational fraud to bury the already ailing economy.

Fujiyama:
^^^
Part of the problem is the Corps leadership...and the other part of it is that governments over the past 3+ decades didn't consider road safety a priority. And because they didn't prioritize road safety, funding suffered and standards declined.

People will not believe there was a time in this country in the 1980s when the FRSC had patrol vehicles (not just Hilux pick trucks), bikes, radar guns, breathalyzers etc. and marshalls actually used this equipment to do their jobs.

In those days, FRSC peugeot station wagons were a common sight on federal highways, driving at exactly100km/h...and all other vehicles were expected to comply with the speed limit and maintain lane discipline. The patrol wagon would be at the head of a long line of impatient (but compliant!) drivers. You dare not overtake the wagon or you would get into serious trouble.

Sometimes, FRSC marshalls would wait at some obscure portion of the highway with their radar guns and set up their speed traps. If your vehicle was found to be travelling above the speed limit, you had no option but to quietly go pay your fine.

After years of appointing retired generals as FRSC Chairman, the Corps today is a shadow of what it once was. The patrol wagons, the radar guns, the motor bikes, breathalyzer kits etc. are all but gone completely. Targeted, effective mass campaigns such as the "Wear your seatbelt" campaign of the 90s (a campaign that forever changed the driving culture of this country) have vanished. It seems all the FRSC does these days is perform the grim task of giving press releases after some terrible accident has claimed several lives...with the cause usually listed as 'overspeeding'.

Nigeria. undecided
Wow! This is eye-opening... Thank you.
