Music/RadioRe: Genevieve Nnaji in the Music Profession? by Angelgal(f): 1:02pm On Aug 09, 2005
Why can't we ever be truthful to ourselves? I heard Genevieve's song 'No More' and it's beyond awful!

Infact the radio stations should do us all a favour and play it no more!

Nairaland GeneralRe: Chatting on Nairaland? by Angelgal(f): 5:34pm On Jul 20, 2005
Look it at this way, presently we are all in the living room gisting with each other like one big happy family...
Once chatting is introduced everybody will disappear into rooms in the house to do their own thing with whoever they please..
I'm gonna miss a lot of people if that happens....
The PM thing is there so let's be content with that....
From there you could get to know someone on a different level and get each other's chat id on yahoo or msn..
I simply love reading our responses to topics that are thrown out to the forum so I say NO to chatting abeg...

Nairaland GeneralRe: Game- Rhyme Time.. by Angelgal(f): 12:05pm On Jul 19, 2005
Greatpeter what you need to understand is that THIS IS A RHYME GAME! Not just posting anything that comes to mind, it could be excused if it rhymes with the last post. It's not a continue the story thread either so I dunno why you made a sentence filled with EMPTY suspense.

So I'll continue from where Matrix stopped:

"you guys don't seem to be ryhming anymore, so I think its time to set the focus straight before..."

we find ourselves in a position of against or for (get it? emphasis on the LAST WORD)
PoliticsRe: The Flag of Nigeria by Angelgal(f): 4:38pm On Jul 18, 2005
Ka don't you mean a ghana must go bag to represent the money? grin

Further info on the American flag, the red stripes represents the blood that was shed during their independence war with the British, when America finally became a nation on its own.

Vongauche you ain't gay of course (or rather I hope) I dunno why men that have good colour combinations are regarded as gay!

RomanceRe: [Kissing] Your Partner Doesn't Know How To Kiss by Angelgal(f): 10:14am On Jul 15, 2005
Has any of you babes experienced a vaccum cleaner kiss? Man I nearly had my face sucked off by some dude way back in university all in the name of kissing! I was young, but even in my innocence I KNEW that was not the kissing I'd read about in Mills & Boon!
PoliticsRe: The Flag of Nigeria by Angelgal(f): 3:58pm On Jul 14, 2005
The Angolan flag has a machet (cutlass) on their flag as a symbol. Goes to show you the violence in that country, ravaged by war for several years is well represented even on their flag!
PoliticsRe: The Flag of Nigeria by Angelgal(f): 3:56pm On Jul 14, 2005
I dunno what we (Nigeria) have with eagles. If they want to leave an African symbol on the flag, they'd probably get rid of the horses and enlarge the eagle. Kids can draw that I think?

In primary school we were taught that green symbolises fertility or growth..dunno now..and that the white was for peace and unity.

Nigeria is made up of several tribes, if they want to change the colour of the flag and make it multicoloured every tribe would want to be represented. (What a rainbow that would be!) Maybe that's why the flag is simple just as well..
CareerRe: My New Boss Was My Junior in Secondary School by Angelgal(f): 9:17am On Jul 12, 2005
Buddy I think your boss like everyone said is uncomfortable with the situation. I think you should look at it on the brighter side. At least he is not trying to show you he is oga, or is he? He's just not down with the switch I guess. Thank goodness you weren't mean to him in secondary school. The reverse may have been the case ooo...as in he may have used this opportunity to deal with you.
In the mean time just be yourself, don't grovel and don't get on your high horse either. Remember this is your livelihood! Just do what you were employed for and do it well.
TV/MoviesRe: 'Sin City' Movie Review by Angelgal(f): 11:26am On Jul 11, 2005
I watched the movie, kinda unique cause of the black and white effect and the comic touch to it. I never read any of the Sin City comics but like you said, it was like watching a comic book come to live.

Yep dem chics in the movie sure know how to kick ass! That ninja babe was LETHAL!

I think Jessica Alba was realy hot especially with that her lasso dance. I think it was real sweet for her to fall inlove with Bruce Willis's character never mind the age difference. ('Been having the hots for Willis myself since I was a teenager!)

And Vieira, you didn't mention the romantic aspect of the movie (mmhmm....typical male glorying in the violence aspect only ....sob!! snifffff!!!)

I hardly recognised Mickey Rourke, gruesome make up! Hulk without the green skin sort of....as for Benicio Del Toro he was baaaaaad..... the Ninja chick really sliced him up.

Ok the movie's really gory but still entertaning....thank goodness it ain't coloured cause it woulda been really bloody in every sense of the word!

Rating?.....dunno you just go watch and make your own opinion!

TV/MoviesRe: Most Annoying Nigerian Actors/Actresses by Angelgal(f): 5:36pm On Jul 07, 2005
Can't stand Eucharia Anunobi....she's damaged her skin with so much bleaching and uses large rings to hide her dark knuckles.

Her make up is frightening....and there are no words enough to describe her awful hairdos!
