TV/MoviesRe: Your Favorite Nigerian Movies? by Angelgal(f): 10:56am On Jun 23, 2005
Yeah talking about the flaws..hairstyles tend to be the same several years later in the movie,..... a poor beggar once classy still has her expensive plastic nails on....years later too!

Can't say I really have any favourite Nigerian movie cause I hardly watch or buy them.
TV/MoviesRe: Genevieve Nnaji for Hollywood? by Angelgal(f): 10:41am On Jun 23, 2005
Who be Bovi Ugboma sef? Let Steven Spielberg or Spike Lee recommend her for Hollywood then we'll know for sure she's ready for Tinseltown.
RomanceRe: Pretty Lady Needed by Angelgal(f): 10:32am On Jun 23, 2005
Vmobile is a gsm phone company...wonder why matrix recommended it as a place to meet ladies....or maybe he is using it as a metaphor for what we do not know...

Hey matrix what exactly do you mean huh

RomanceRe: Is it right to check your partner's phone? by Angelgal(f): 9:12am On Jun 23, 2005
hot-angel:
Oh well, trust me, this doesn't happen in Nigeria alone. It happens all over the world. the kind of phone I use, allows me to lock some SMS messages I don't want people to see.
Maybe we should all get the type of phone hot-angel is using to avoid all this wahala.

But then again, a locked message is like a locked door and of course your curiousity will get the better of you....and we all know what curiousity did to the cat ...
RomanceRe: Why Won't a Girl Tell a Boy That She Likes Him? by Angelgal(f): 8:59am On Jun 23, 2005
Mhmmm...yeah right? And deprive the guy the thrill of chasing me? I don't think so...not anymore anyway

Sure I'd found myself in a situation when I had the hots for a guy...short of carrying a sign that says: " I like you"! The guy was just too dense to catch my drift....or maybe he did and chose to play ignorant cause he felt he had a fanclub (apparently I wasn't the only one vying for his attention) That kinda put the fire out for me..and when he did decide to look my way, it was too late and boy did I have the pleasure to let him know it!
CareerRe: Office Romance: Would you date your colleague? by Angelgal(f): 8:50am On Jun 23, 2005
Well I did try it and man was I burned. Even though the guy was in the head office and I in a branch office...inshort it is not advisable. Worse when you are in the SAME office...when the romance kaputs..hostility and discomfort abounds. Not worth the trouble at all..not worth the trouble...

Nairaland GeneralRe: Beautiful ladies! Ugly Ladies! Who are richer? by Angelgal(f): 9:18am On Jun 22, 2005
Same goes for ugly guys. They tend to be more successful and richer than the handsome bobos. Babes abi na lie I talk?
FashionRe: Nokia Face of Africa 2005 Competition (on M-NET) by Angelgal(f): 9:01am On Jun 22, 2005
One thing I noticed about the judges' choices is that the girls were not particularly pretty. They have very strong African features and rather very dark skinned. Kinda like looking like they were carved out of wood, you know like a work of art. This competition is not your regular beauty pageant. They are looking for models and you know what them supermodels look like....intriguing, and yes you can't help but look.I guess they are looking for natural beauties too....cause the contestants were made to clean off their make ups so that their true beauty could be seen.
RomanceRe: Do Long Distance Relationships Work? by Angelgal(f): 5:06pm On Jun 21, 2005
It does work when you get to SEE and be with each other.

The advent of the internet and GSM phones also tends to help when parted hence the distance thing.

But when you have not actually seen each other and rely only on your imagination (pictures not withstanding) chances are that it may not last. Pictures can never reveal what it's like to be with the person for real.
RomanceRe: Battle of the Sexes - Males vs. Females by Angelgal(f): 9:22am On Jun 21, 2005
And Seun is still living in the past or is obviously from Mars like I have always said.

When you say women, I believe you mean women the world over. Women can't exist apart from the men indeed. These days women have the option of answering both their maiden names and their husband's name together or either of the names.

Without a woman in the home, the center cannot hold.
RomanceRe: How was your first date? by Angelgal(f): 9:05am On Jun 21, 2005
Hmm...oga Seun you are in trouble ooo....

You'd better come out here and set us all straight.... undecided
RomanceRe: Wooing (Toasting) a Lady by Angelgal(f): 8:32am On Jun 21, 2005
It's all a question of balance. If the woman earns more than her husband and still humbles herself to respect him as his wife, including massaging the ever present male ego, there should be peace. But if the reverse is the case, I don't have to tell you there will be daily fire on the mountain, infact a full scale volcano!
RomanceRe: 20 years age difference - does it really matter? by Angelgal(f): 8:22am On Jun 21, 2005
Pinky no mind Seun....trying to bring in oyibo mentality into our naija gist....

The oyibos have a myth or fairytale or whatever that the stork (It's a bird by the way) delivers babies the way you get courier mail from DHL.....

Now this explanation is wack.....but I think you understand what I mean now.... grin
RomanceRe: 20 years age difference - does it really matter? by Angelgal(f): 10:15am On Jun 20, 2005
Mamba, please I mean no disrespect, but that 42 year old rich and handsome cousin of yours, what is he waiting for or is he not the marrying kind? Abi he wants to be a dad at 50? Unless he already has kids shaa..

Men need women for their self confidence....we are always massaging you guys over inflated egos...just to assure you that you are still the man...
RomanceRe: Why is it so hard to let go? by Angelgal(f): 5:02pm On Jun 13, 2005
There's no way I can last where I am not wanted....haba!  angry No use clinging to the guy when he wants to be free.

Please Ezinne tell your friend to pull herself togther and study for her exams! She is in her final year (according to you) If she ends up having an extra year for this dude who may be well on his way to charting a better future for himself, she will hate herself for it.

Enough said biko!
