princemolak: I dont think Angelo is joking and its probably the truth because a little is known about his Father, all we knew was that his father died when he was 4, aside that, his father was said to have twenty something children, but I dont think I've ever heard of any of them or any of his family aside his wife and children unlike that of GEJ, probably that's because they arent in Nigeria Thank you. |

I've tried googling but nothing came up. It's no secret, he is Armenian and some northerners knew also.Anything Armenian stinks of poverty/corruption but you may never know. The Armenians in Europe even boasted pre 2015 election that they have infiltrated Nigerian government to the highest level and their son is going to be the next president of Nigeria. Some diplomat knew too. This is what Armenian leadership looks like, poverty to have a cooperative followers. |

Godisfaithful: Not only the capital market sir, he doesn't understand how economy(free market) works...That shouldn't surprised you. I hope the defendant of this clueless president can point to one positive thing the country has enjoyed since his emergence as Nigeria President? Even those that doesn't depends on government have already turn to beggar. Poverty upon poverty is increasing daily...people are finding it difficult to feed themselves, family are separating because of their policy, increment in crime and mortality rate, tribalism, herdsmen taken over the city,...Within 1 and half years Naira had lost more than 60% of its original value, etc. One thing is very certain, this government is a complete disaster in waiting...
Firms expect higher inflation, further fall in Naira value — CBN report http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/11/firms-expect-higher-inflation-fall-naira-value-cbn-report/
No (foreign)investors will invest in a controlled economy like ours...even the local investor are running away! Investors in equities have lost more than half of their wealth and real estate is dead in Nigeria.I dislike the guy and bad thing about him is that he is not even a Nigerian. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 2:48pm On Dec 02, 2016 |
Godisfaithful: Sir Lancee, this government is not helping the matter. I don't think the cluelessness of this government would stop when Naira to a $$$ hit 500. That's what we said when $$$ was 200 something trying to crosss 300. Today we are saying same, same, and same thing... Thank God i bought some small $$$ when my BDC still have many. It shouldn't had get to this but this government escalate the situation...
Very very unfortunate... The dullard seems to be on a mission to destroy everything probably because of what he went through before coming back to power or maybe this is his own way of stealing by enriching himself through abokis without any trace to him.I pray to God to remove him before 2019 and provide well articulate/coherent leadership that we revive our dying country. This Armenian man doesnt give a Bleep, infact he hate the capital market probably he thinks its too easy not knowing is a game of brain and not the type that a person without certificate can participate. |

locodemy: This is the only oil company i like to do jijo with..........i hope to do jijo with oando to invest the proceeds in fcmb......my target is 20m units before march 2017.........i want to see how much dividend i will pocket from fcmb for the first time. This trend is a dangerous trend but for FCMB and as of now till middle of next year your permutation will work judging from the turn around in their book. |

holm: We are all right, to call out Emefiele and Buhari( worst combo that poverty can bestow on a nation), but what amuses me most is the way the VP, who you would think is well educated, and full of great ideas, open his mouth to make pronouncement on issues purely in the purview of CBN is ridiculous. You can give order and send message to your boys (The gang at CBN) without telling it to the world that you control CBN.
We know the Buhari is intellectually disadvantaged but how about a learned person in the mould of Pastor Osinbade. Can't he deliver the message with some wisdom?
This MISFORTUNE(Buhari and his gang) has proven a simple thesis; corruption destroys a Nation but incompetence is faaaaaarrrr worse than corruption.
Foreign investors have since realised that Buhari has not Changed. They will be measured in coming to Nigeria under him. He has that tendency to bring you into Nigeria in a crate(Dikko style. If you know what i mean). You might take your words back concerning the VP because he seems to be the only one who cares and who forced the devaluation somehow because Buhari was not ready to neither float nor devalue and beside that he is the one in charge of the economy. |

OBAGADAFFI: Oga, ask LOCO, we have heard this same new some months ago and nothing changed.
what's the quantity of oil we are exporting, Focados and most export lines are down, PMB is planning to start importing from Niger Republic.
How do we benefit if we're not shipping enough crude Chill a little bit and remember market will adjust to a new price ceiling by January and the main reason for this freeze is to dry the supply glut and Nigeria will shift ground also to benefit from this except Buhari is cursed by God himself. |

OBAGADAFFI: This oil won't benefit Nigeria!!! Remember Nigeria is not pumping enough oil due to the Niger-delta crisis.
If we're doing 2million barrels par day @$40, we will be ok our way our of this economic crisis. Good news from the oil market is always good for Nigeria. |

Godisfaithful: If the government float the damn foreign exchange rate today, so many investors will be confident to bring in their currency and we will see tremendous FDI and FPI... They have no choice other than float the currency fully but Emefeile must go to restore confidence in our economy. |

ExLaidback: You really believe this govt will float the naira, ok o I hope so.
The OPEC agreement is very good news for banks cause their NPLs must have been restructured towards crude price of $4x - $50 per barrel VP has hinted a more flexible exchange rate coming soon. |

Coolcash1: Unfortunately, it won't extend to NSE in the short term. However, if the oil price rally continues and sustained and full floating exchange rate policy is adopted come Q1 next year, the effect on the market will become evident as from early Q2-2017 ... I think December will be good for NSE and that rally will extend to Oil stock on NSE but full flexible exchange rate policy will emerge by early next year. |

ExLaidback: Well in summary according to them,
They understand that revaluation gains from FX at this magnitude is not long-term sustainable,
So knowing this they took advantage of a recent CBN circular to make additional provision on collective and specific impairment as a form of prudence. In other words they probably didn't have to provide as much as they did.
This act offers up two advantages,
1.) They were able to knock off a significant portion of their NPLs and bring the ratio down within regulatory approved limits (and also improve CAR?) while still spotting some decent profits 2.) The thing with provision for loan loss as against loan loss charges is that in subsequent accounting periods it can be brought back in to income when they recover the loan - right? So they are kind of preparing for a drop in future income with this too.
This is my layman understanding. That result is not bad and they have emphasized it severally that they will clean up their balance sheet which is what they are doing. The summary is that bank is not the same like it was last year and they are better but still trying to be better. |

'' FCMB Group Plc issued a profit warning in expectation of its delayed third quarter (Q3) 2015 earnings before the end of Jan 2016. ''
- remember we have seen this Q3 delay before ! only for them to surprise mkt with dividend ! Let it happen again Seems they have turned the table around and they might have actually audited the account just to be sure that every thing is ok without releasing to the market.I think instead of profit warning expectation they might actually surprise the market with a better dividend.Seems like they had it all planned but just that most people are not really selling their stock like the previous sell off. |

EPS(company) -from 0.5 to 0.12
EPS (Group) -from 0.67 to 0.87 I guess the dividend will come from the group. |
