lancee: Sir Ange, do u think there may be a serious /minor pull back before results refgards access/uba In my own view,I suspect so.The rally is dull now and usual JAN/FEB supply may come in and depress the price. But you should do your own due diligence. |

[quote author=Coolcash1 post=52920417]Honestly people, I am loving this argument about FO... Frankly, it has everything at least for now, working in its favour...Good EPS, DY, DPO all driven by favourable macro economic variables in terms of energy policy and cride oil price and operational excellence. I think it's sheer wickedness for anyone to say the share value is not worth more than N30...Far from it! Currently, it is underpriced and with good 9-M financial performance to the coy's credit, its just a matter of time for the expected rally to happe I have based my buy decision on these variables and can only sip my Don Moet to wait for the upsurge to happen... [/quote I think we should encourage them to sell so that we can have a hitch free rally post result. |

pluto09: What valuation method did you use in arriving at a fair value for total and fo or you just assign a figure that suit your fantasy? And for anybody to think that whatsoever we say here about a stock has a bearing on the share price on NSE is sheer pettiness. Market has the final say but you can do your due diligence too and no need to pass judgement. |

locodemy: As you supposed,if the result no show face by month end, make you know say there is fire on the mountain and make you begin run like fowl for escape.Better tell him the result should be out before April. 3 quarters results has no issue and you expect the final year result to have a problem. This year for FO is guarantee and we shall see what will happen concerning the Q1 2017.They have a tradition of releasing results earlier than other companies, you can google it. |

locodemy: You have to be very very careful with that stock. All is not well with the owner of the company at the moment and its also affecting his company.
secondly, the stock took off from 7.00 to 300 within a short period and everyone were shouting FO FO.If i should buy the stock,i will wait to see their result first and know their latest EPS.
I dislike the stock because of the manipulations(juju) which doesnt allow one to know the true value...............Be careful,it may be another OANDO of the year. They are not even among the companies selected by NNPC to lift crude oil in 2017.
you better seek the way of oando and eterna oil among the oil companies becos most of them are out of investors choice as a result of high prices. Still one of the companies with good Q1,Q2 and Q3 results.Your dislike is what made a lot of people to loose from that stock.Within 2months I made millions on that stock which I may not make on any banking stick within that shortest period.Every stock has a way of moving and time to move. For FO is just the time to buy and if you are so much into less risky low priced stock, it will be hard to see that the best returns comes from well placed stocks.I believe the dilution from the bonus scrip is affecting the price as many people now have access to the stock than previously. |

Manonamission: Q4 is considered the FYE where audited results for the whole year is declared with or without corporate action (for companies with December year end). The rule permits listed companies 90 days to file AUDITED ANNUAL REPORTS which is what the investing community is expecting now.
The 60 days filing requirement is for companies that chose to audit quarterly results that are otherwise expected in 30 days from end of respective quarter.
The implication of these rules is that a company is not penalized for releasing the result earlier than required or within the stipulated number days. Therefore, March 31 remains the deadline. In fact, the rule permits additional 30 days (i.e till April 30) if a company requests additional time for result filing before the initial due date. Ok I got it but then why are the banks in a hurry because it seems nothing changed as regards timing of release of results. |

Manonamission: Apparently, you didn't read the "new" rules. Open the link nah and acquaint yourself with the rules nah. The information I shared earlier is the rules for filing of results. Other info such as application for extension, penalties are contained in the doc for those that might be interested. Correct me if am wrong,60days means End of feb. because December is the end of Q4. |

Manonamission: Which new rules? When were they made? Do you have a reference?
http://www.nse.com.ng/regulation-site/IssuersRules/Rules%20on%20Filing%20of%20Accounts%20and%20Treatment%20of%20Default%20Filings.pdf There is a new rule that is effective from January which literally means that by next month all companies listed on NSE must release there result or face sanctions depending on the delay. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 8:03pm On Jan 12, 2017 |
Manonamission: Actually, it is 30 days after end of quarter for quarterly results i.e Q1, Q2 and Q3. March ended Q1 results are due latest April 30, June ended Q2 results are due July 31 etc.
Audited Quarterly results are due latest 60 days after relevant quarter. Applicable to the likes of Access, GTB and Zenith that regularly audit H1 results.
FY results or audited annual results are due 90 days after end of year. So companies with final year end Dec 31 have until March 31 of the following year to file results. We are talking about new rules here and not the old one. Please check very well. |

quote author=Coolcash1 post=52620579]
Are you sure your broker is not trying to use your funds to bail out a trapped client.... ..Coz I discount whatever advice they give me.
For me, I now have two brokers. I give mandate to one while I used the trading platform of the other to trade myself. I don't take advice from brokers.Brokers just smile but they are your enemies. |
