Thinktwicemybro: Sometimes telling people your plan can ruin the plan. Some opinion can discourage your destiny. God created secrets for a reason. Not telling your parents your plans does not make you foolish. I know many people that completed their house before telling their parents. I know people who told their parents and friends they bought land but never built the house, instead they end up selling the land. Life is deeper into than you think. Exactly. |

Peter532 I am that friend that will build a house and not tell anyone till house opening, it doesn't mean they are not my close friends but someone like me prefers to announce things when it's done. I have friends that travelled out without telling me, I don't hold it against them, I will do same if I were in their shoe. PS my cousin did his traditional wedding without inviting me, I saw the pic online and I didn't die |

Nazgul: If the manager in question was in the grade this earns 1.7m per year, he wouldn't have left Nigeria. People earn higher than that and still leave, its all choice. |

Nazgul: The question you should be asking is how much does a bank manager earn in Nigeria?
If you must know, no bank in Nigeria pays their branch managers up to N1m. On an average, they earn between 500-600k. (That's about $600 not pounds o)
A skyscraper window cleaner in the UK earns about £23,000. With that amount, you can live comfortably in the UK.
Aside the risks involved in the job, I won't say he made a bad choice. ABO earns 500k, it depends on the grade of the manager, all these things are titles. Some managers grade are high, they earn 1.7m per month. |

Jewessgratitud3: Soft life to hard life.
I guess when he got there and saw the pile of bills staring him in the face he had no choice but to grab the next available job.
If you are gainfully employed in naija, you don't need to japa. Japa is for someone who has no hope of ever getting a job in Nigeria. He'll appreciate any kind of job he finds there. I'm telling you, bank manager that was comfortable in Nigeria. |

Continue living life as usual. Garri has tax lolzz. How na? |

Skyrose: I didn't accept it ooo because the people I tried talking to all to help meet up the target said they don't like polaris bank and since they hardly convert their staff so that's why I didn't take it. I'm still trying to apply for other jobs Me too I don't like the bank, it's easier to meet up your target if people like the bank and trust the bank too. |

Eriokanmi: Congratulations girl. I remember my sis inlaw who once worked at one of the leading banks in Nigeria before she relocated overseas with her husband. Its enslaving to be working at a contract staff in amy organisation. It was horrible when she narrated her story. The contract company was always taking a chunk of her salary for years before their head of department nominated her for conversion and she went for that exam, another though hurdle for her. Her boss was so happy that she didn't disappoint her when the tesult came out. Her first salary was so fat. All the best! Thankyou. Yes the salary difference is always huge. |

Passing my conversion exam. It's such a big deal for me to transit from a contract staff to a core staff of a bank. |

choo: Hello Annahh, Good afternoon. My name is Chukwuma. I read your diary from time to time. Thank God for your testimony on your elevation to a core staff. Please can you help with your banks email address where one can forward his CV even if it's for non-core position, please. I have someone who's a graduate, has concluded his NYSC and is seriously searching for a job. I came to this dead thread just to get your attention. I will be grateful if you can help as some people are resigning to the core positions from the non-core, i believe there might be space somewhere. Thank you. Sorry for the late reply, the person will have to wait for next year graduate trainee program, as for the non core route, most times it's difficult to get in especially now they have increased the salary, it's mostly who knows who, I even have friends that want the job too but they are unable to get in, I asked my outsourcing firm and they said there is no vacancy anywhere, they even have non core staff on the line waiting to be deployed to the various branch. |
