before people begin to crucify me here, i love naija songs and i think Nigerian music and videos have evolved to a fantastic level and will go far.

i also like dbanj and believe he's arguably one of the greatest entertainers we have at the moment in 9jiria

but i was really really disappointed at the new fall in love video i saw on youtube,

okay i grabbed the concept, but the delivery was awful and lacked any form of class infact the video makes you wonder if the whole thing was directed by a five year old kid, seriously.

was there really any need for the 3d texts , SUGAR, GLAMOUR, ROCK, gimme a break, i found it distracting and annoying.

and the most annoying text i saw was RIDE, ( at least western or cowgirl would have been more appropriate, cmon), wtf?

in fact, it would have been sooo much better without all that,

that skinny chick dancing alanta looked totally razz when she was dancing,

in fact it's beginning to make me hate the frigging dance step,

(by the way have u noticed there's no new dance step out there at the moment?, whats happening it 2010 we need a new dance, lol)

it looked like the idea and concept was there but it was just rushed and not fully thought through

i believe some models were ugly and should have at least been given costumes to cover thier faces, lol


but there were some nice effects though,

but still alas it reminds me of the GONGO ASO catastrophe,
a classic song with an utterly rubbish video.

plus i dont know how but the director managed to make the video look awfully cheap i believe the only thing that cost money were the contumes and donjazzy's ever so stylish outfit, lol.

i was jus like you b4, i first saw the trailer and was like wtf is this blue piece of crap, and swore i wouldnt watch it cuz i thot it was some sorta kiddie movie like, toystory or the incredibles!

boy was i dead wrong,
i usually go out on a double date and do what i call a " double whammy"
thats when me and mi mate's watch 2 movies on the same day
so i saw sherlock holmes and avatar

honestly, avatar is something else, and the graphics and visuals are mind blowing,
my date was literally holding her breath at some paticular scene in the movie and was crying at a point, ( i no go lie inside me sef i wan shed tear)
the movie is no childs play, their are tears, blood is shed, people died, peope really died, there was war an intense battle seen that could give 300 a run for its money you could feel their pain and you could relate to the moral message that was unconsciously being passed on " the greed of humanity" cuz at a point sef you find yourself rooting for the pandorans and feeling hatred and disgust towards human beings, all this i did not see coming from the start.

Well, those that like movies with senseless violence, killing, sex, or worse nollywood movies
may not like this movie , well too bad for them,
it's not their fault, it's too deep for them,

they'd rather see than listen,
they'd rather watch than feel,
their minds have been spoonfed garbage to the point that they cant appreciate and comprehend the greatness of this masterpiece, and all they ask at the end was what was the big deal?

2 be honest , i will not lie, the movie kinda reminded me of pocahontas, so maybe it was lacking in originality a bit, but hey, nobody is perfect
but if checked properly you would notice that The underlying plot seems to be inspired by the American Indian experiences in the United States with the American government, corporations, and missionaries.

the greatest stories ever told if u investigate were originally told by someone else, that goes the same for songs,

the important thing you ask your self is how tell this story, in a way that has never been done before?

how do i get my audience to feel, really feel something move within them as they watch this movie?

how do i tell this story in a way nobody has and can ever imagine?

i believe james cameron asked himslf this question and , and the result was avatar, genius!


i didnt expect it to be that good maybe thats why i enjoyed it the way i did,
i know hype's a bit annoying( i hate unessecary hype as well ) but trust me it's a hype weell deserved,

if u do not watch this at the cinema and wait to buy a pirated quality dvd for 200 naira
i really feel sorry 4 u, in fact i recommend u do not even watch it at all if its not at the cinemas,
i recommend u do something much more creative with the money

the visual beauty of a note on fire would be much better compared to the irritating pain inducing visuals of a pirated dvd.

whats the point of posting on a thread about movie reviews and your advising someone not to see a movie herself so she can make up her own mind as to whether she enjoyed it or not, thats why its called a review thread for people to drop thier own opinions of the movie innit?
what ever reasons u have for not enjoying the movie is your own bizness and your are entitled to whatever opinion you have despite the majority of the whole world disagreeing with whatever those so called reasons are and the figures speak for itself

Guy's believe d hype! Avatar is d best movie ever!
Oh my God!, dont you dare , dare , watch a pirated dvd at home, i swear you will not feel this movie the way u should!

dis is a movie u MUsT watch at d cinema's! it's worth every damn naira,  i wont even mind paying for people to see it!it's just 2 beautiful! 4 Christ sakes it's grossed over a billion dollars!

the only other movie that holds that record for that billion dollar mark was TITANIC directed by , yep u guessed it the same JAMES CAMERON OF AVATAR!

make no mistake o!, contrary to what most people may think,  though its has 3d animation doesn't mean its child's play!, there is an intense battle scene, blood is spilled , tears are shed,people die and don't be surprised if you find yourself leaking a tear or two as the movie is a spell binding captivating ride, packed full of emotions and visually stimulating scenery and an awesome story with a moral message it embeds in to your brain, chei!

scores a perfect 10 in my book! so i would definitely recommend this movie, take your girlfriend, younger ones, your mum, hey even take your driver to see it, lol.

note if you were not moved in any way by this movie, you seriously need to check your self, or stop watching too many nollywood movies!

I lost two phones (Nokia 2700 Classic and Sony Ericsson K750i) and N1,600 to them yesterday evening around 8pm around an hotel (Simply Simple Hotel, Ajegunle, Ogun State). They were in the process of taking me to an ATM to withdraw money from my account but I managed to escape from them. I regret to infrom you that the lady (Ayomide Adeoye, could be an alias) is the most ugliest thing I've ever seen, she is not worth it at all coupled with the fact that she is armed robber.

Please be extra careful, this people are mean and heartless!!!!!!!!

infact i like to stop calling the Nigerian movies {Nigerian movies} id rather think of them as Plays, the kind u see on theater.

it needs a strong overhaul and and injection of fresh young directors and ideas

i love the way nigerian music scene was taken over by fresh young creative artists who changed the face of music in nigeria
artists like mohits crew, baky w. M.i etc

but see the naija movies still the same crap!

although i'm happy to hear movies like "Through the glass by steph okereke" and the "Figurine Aromire "are trying to set trends and going high budget
so lets wait and see

so chose Msc Business management starting february " still cant believe that change"
