Please can anyone help with this? annikanyi: Congrats bro! Was your interview in Abuja or Lagos? You mentioned a parking lot. Are there parking lots for those who are driving there so that one can keep items like phones and things not allowed in the embassy? How much does it cost to park if there is? And how Much time did you spend at the embassy before you were interviewed regarding the crowd? Thanks Please anyone with answers to these questions can help. For Abuja specifically. Thanks |

Thanks Ojoboak: Good evening house, I am a silent admirer of this forum and honedtly i have benefited a lot from the postings hence my decision to give back to the community. Submitted my DS160 on July 12th and went ahead to scheduled appointment, got this week and eventually choose today. So today i was at the Embassy as scheduled. Real problem started the moment i alighted and walk through that carpark. Hustlers of different sorts swarmed on me. I initially resisted but soon gave in, when the list of "Haa you cannot take this in, you cannot take that inside. This your passport is not acceptable, you have to take another one sharp sharp to claim your visa" I succumbed. To keep your phones and "other dangerous items like biro, flash drives, token" etc Safekeeping money is 2k. Passport that matches requirements is 2k, stapling all your documents in special order to accelerate your interview and improve your chance, anything you like give me, 1k" Fast forward to the interview session VO : Good morning Me: Good morning VO : Passport please Me : Hands it over VO : What are you going to do in US Me : Conference VO : where is the conference Me : so so city VO : start checking ds 160, check, check and check. Are you with the reciprocity fee of 40700naira Me : Yes VO : Do have have a good day( remove passport from default rejection mode, pick a copy of white form and a red one, put inside the passport, stating i will be informed by sms and email , when to pick up d visa) Me : Thank you very much ( after collecting my passport with red paper on what to pay and white on where to pick up) |

Thanks a lot seyewest: Fill another form and write them to change your old ds160 number to the new one, as for the new employment letter, take both along for the interview. Take your time to read the thread from the 1st part to the last thread, you won't regret it. |

Please can anyone help with this? Thank you annikanyi: Hello house, quick question please. My interview is for September and Adjustments such as increments in salaries and new letters of appointment were issued at my work place last month. How do I go about informing the embassy about this change or do I wait & go to my interview with copies of these letters? Does it change anything if I wait? Thank you |

Hello Quorax, how do you buy ripple and Ethereum with your btc? Please explain. Do you have to sell the btc first and use naira to buy the other coins? Thanks Quorax: to reduce your risk, buy ripple and etherum with 1/4 of the money you made from btc. Good luck. |

Thanks a lot. I will select yes and explain OmoBendel24: Rhetorical question I presume. By deductive reasoning, @the bolded should point you in the right direction invariably....
How did you get the new passport thereafter? Police extract? Whatever it was is key now as you must click on YES to that question in that section.. As simple as it seems, clicking NO is enough reason for your application to be written off no doubt by the VO.... That's misrepresentation; innocent or deliberate, and punishable! |

Hello house,
Please I need help from you all. There’s a section on the form that asks if you’ve lost a passport before or if it’s been stolen? I was robbed in 2016 and my passport was one of the items stolen from me. Please do I select yes and narrate this incident or select no and move on with my application. I wouldn’t want to draw negative attention to my application that’s why I’m asking.
P.S my old passport number is on my new passport page. Thank you |

HI Ursun, i am in the process of applying for an llm in uni of ottawa and osgoode law school for september 2016, my problem is how to put together my good application package. i have been advised to go through an agent but they are pretty expensive. what is your take on it? also i would like to email you if u dont mind usrun: Hi Nobody. I am presently in Canada and so, I wish to give you my honest advice. First, please don't give any agency any money to help you process your visa because none of them works at the embassy. I was asked to pay the same but I ignored them and applied after reading the student's visa requirement at the embassy's site. There is a nairaland forum for people that want to study in Canada. Join them and ask all the questions you need to ask. Many of us here in Canada that came through education benefited from that forum. That forum is all you need to come to Canada. From the way you sounded in your message, I don't think any of you stand a good chance if you choose to go with the family. I don't know the size of the family, but I know you must meet the financial requirement and still have strong ties to the country before you and your family are granted visa. Many people I know that tried it were denied on the ground of inadequate ties to their home country.
Some fields are easier to get job than others. I don't know the background of you and your husband but whosoever that have more practical experience should take the challenge. Once you are true with your education and secure a good job, then other members of the family can join.
In Canada, for one to get 3 years work permit, you must study at least a two year program. A year program attracts a year work permit. Eight months program, attracts 8 month work permit.
Please read about Canadian Experience class, and Federal skilled for more information.
Yes, Saskachewan have a better immigration law. Please, don't go to Ontario. Read up Canadian provinces Nominee programs for each province to equip yourself with adequate knowledge before choosing a school. |
