Adding petrol to fire.

Our land is soaked with so much blood - blood of babies aborted, blood of babies and humans used for rituals, blood of farmers killed by herdsmen, blood of people killed by bandits, boko, gunmen, cultists and others.

Tell me one reason why then we should not repent.

Arise, now and repent and pray for Nigeria.

jesusjnr2020:
Could A Nineveh Happen To Nigeria?

Nineveh was a land that had been greatly corrupted by acts of wickedness and decadence, that her inhabitants were on the verge of extinction and being spued out by the land.

Jonah 1:1-2 (KJV)

Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

Jonah 3:1-4 (KJV)

And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.
And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

But the people of Nineveh repented at the preaching of prophet Jonah, whom God had sent to warn them of their wickedness, hence the impending destruction of the land was averted.

Jonah 3:5-10 (KJV)

So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:
But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Hence the question, could a Nineveh happen to Nigeria?

This is because Nigeria seems like a Nineveh right now, as the land has been filled with so much corruption and decadence that it has brought her much reproach and decline. Now it even appears that its inhabitants are on the verge of being vomited by the land.

So could the people of Nigeria repent at preaching of a prophet God sent to warn her of her wickedness?

Could Nigeria humble themselves before God and turn away from her wicked ways so God could heal her land? 2 Chronicles 7:14

Could Nigeria do the needful so that the impossible and hopeless situation could be turned around, and the same nation that was once the epitome of reproach in the world because of wickedness, would become exalted by righteousness? Prov 14:34

If Nineveh could, then Nigeria can!

God bless.

By the grace of God, it will happen. God has been raising men to call for and spearhead Repentance in Nigeria.

Five Important Lessons Christians Could Learn From A Heathen King

It was the king of Nineveh, a heathen nation, whose exemplary leadership and wise decisions ultimately saved the lives of his people and the great City from going into extinction. Jonah 3:5-10

These are the five important lessons I was able to draw from his exemplary leadership.

1. He was a selfless and humble leader.

2 He led by example.

3. He never gave up.

4. He believed God's Word.

5. He was a wise leader who knew how much repentance and righteousness meant to God, and what it would take to get God turn from His fierce anger, and reverse the judgment He declared upon his people because of their wickedness.

God bless.

Others include

He was a marathon faster

He understood the supremacy of God over his nation

He was a defacto national evangelist cum revalist for calling for national Repentance.

Effect of rape on victims, continued

-b. depression
The woman, the TV personality, I mentioned under stigmatisation above, in my last post, was later said to relocate to another continent.

She couldn't overcome the effects of the rape incidents on her life. But Later, while she abroad, she became depressed and committed suicide.

Rape is a very heinous crime and grievous sin against God and humans.

If you have ever raped anyone or you are a rapist, confess your sins to God, seek forgiveness and restitution with your victim(s), forsake such evil act and seek deliverance.
Otherwise, you may not go with Jesus when trumpet sounds.

If you have ever been raped, seek the face of God in prayer to be cleansed from all the defilement and to receive the grace to overcome all the negative social and psychological effects of rape..

Check your Sexual Lust, today, before it leads you to committing abominable sin before God.

Jesus is coming. Stay ready.

Please share with others.

Racoon:
Humn! Nigeria truly needs redemption but until their is collective repentance and turning away from all evil dont expect the good Lord to show us mercy and heal our land.

You are absolutely right but we must start somewhere. Somebody must navigate that path of Repentance.

Remember, the king of Nineveh did and left the remaining unto God. He said, who knows if God will see our efforts and turn away from the judgment He had declared upon us

Jonah 3:6-9 KJV
6 For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

[7] And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:

[8] But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
