Thayay: Thanks so much sir. But the problem is the distance, I school in jos but lives in Ado-ekiti. I would suggest you starts with online videos(YouTube), it really helped me a lot when i started the learning process. From there you can start exploring things yourself. I hope my advice will be helpful sir Thank you so much. I appreciate your prompt response and candid advice. I will give the online tutorial a go and see how it goes. Though I do find it hard to learn a new skill on my own. I prefer someone teaching me while I go behind to learn ahead and perfect it. I will keep you abreast of my steps all the way up and will be seeking your professional counsel as well. god bless you sir. |

The New Direction Government of Governor Bello is just not so different from what Kogi had under Ibrahim Idris and Captain Wada. In fact, I doubt if this present government can outperform Ibrahim Idris.
The young should just forget about politics and face governance. |

Crime › Police In Ghana Arrested Two Nigerians For Human Trafficking by Anoneism(op): 5:13pm On Mar 31, 2017 |
The Baatsona Police have arrested two Nigerian women for allegedly transporting six of their compatriots to Ghana to engage in prostitution.
The suspects have been identified as Ify Mba, a 33-year-old actress and Amanda Eze Chioma aka Faith, 23.
The police, acting on tip-off, raided a hotel in Accra where the victims aged between 21 and 26 were being sexually exploited.
The ringleader, who has been identified only as Angel, is currently on the run.
Two victims, who refused to engage in prostitution, were locked up in a room and denied food by the mistresses.
The victims, who claimed they were from Anabra, Enugu, Delta and Abia, alleged that they were lured by the suspects with juicy deals.
The suspects are currently assisting in police investigations.
Briefing the media, Chief Superintendent Felix K Cosmos, the Baatsona Divisional Police Commander, said the police received information that a group of Nigerian girls were being escorted by some adult women to a hotel at Baatsona for prostitution on Monday, March 24, 2017.
Based on intelligence, the police embarked on an operation and arrested the two suspects at 7pm.
The six victims were rescued and when they were interrogated, they said they were brought to Ghana by Ify Mba and Amanda Chioma on transit to Germany and Dubai to be employed as house helps, he added.
The police commander said the victims were allegedly forced into prostitution by the suspects who collected the proceeds on a daily basis.
The victims said the suspects often transported them to night clubs and hotels to engage in prostitution daily. Four victims were brought into the country on March 14, 2017 while the other two were brought to Ghana on March 22, 2017, the commander said.
“On arrival, we were locked up in a room where we were made to swear an oath to go into prostitution or in default go mad. We were later asked to work and pay an amount of 555,000 Naira, equivalent to $2,000 each before their release.
“Madame Chioma told us that we would use Ghana as a transit and that all our traveling documents would be done in Ghana. A taxi cab was hired from Nigeria to Ghana and Madam Ify met us on arrival and took us to the hotel,” the victims said.
“The following morning, they fixed our hair and eye lashes. When I asked her the reason why we were to wear the lashes, she told me that it was to make us beautiful and smart. Realizing that we were to be used as prostitutes, I refused to wear the eye lashes and to engage in the prostitution and so together with my friend, we were locked up in the room and denied food until the police came in to rescue us.”
Another victim, who gave her name as Belinda, told the paper that she had been in the country for two weeks and had paid 2,000 Naira to the mistresses as part of her fees through prostitution.
The victims expressed their desire to return to their country Nigeria.
The police disclosed that they would hand over the victims to the Anti Human Trafficking Unit to be transported to Nigeria, adding that the suspects would be prosecuted.http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/crime/Two-Nigerians-arrested-for-human-trafficking-523693

AutosBay: When this struggle started, our goal then was verify and pay us our stipends. We vehemently pursued this goals with different action starting from the media to social network and I also remembered we wrote letters to different agencies both private and government. We spent money energy in fact every of our last breath was used to make sure we achieve our goals, with all that put in place, we were unable to achieve it, then we were forced to protest and finally we were verified and paid. All wasn't done on platter of gold, many of us sacrificed our money, energy to get to where we are today. In fact it got to a point when we noticed people didn't turn out for the protest, we device means to get the attention of everyone. The first one was to tell them "All Npower volunteer member are to come to Alausa for verification." It went viral and everyone ran down to Alausa and we had a successful protest. The second one we had to tell everyone that Governor Ambode want to meet with all Npower volunteer corps members, without wasting time, people converged at the blue roof LTV not knowing that we actually device that trick to lure them for protest. All those things are gone now. Please let's face the reality, many of us are responsible to why we were not paid so sorry to generalise it cos we re still together in this struggle. Now the first question we need to ask ourselves is this; 1. How many people were verified for this program? 2. What criteria did they used to disqualify people? 3. How many people were paid for the first time last week? 4. How many Npower members have not been paid? 5. From the number of those that have not been paid, how many made this mistake on their own when filling their profile. 6. How many have their profile intact and they were not paid? (I think this set of people has every right to protest) If we don't critically analyse the above statistics, then I don't think we are ready for protest. Let's use some states as case study, Anambra for instance, many of them were not paid, it was just last week their focal person got the payment report and as I am speaking to you right now, their issues have been solved and their payment is been process as I speak to you. Ogun is another case study, after all said and done, they got paid last week Wednesday. I will be sincere with you guys, I don't like saying this but I must say it, I haven't been resting because of the unpaid volunteer members, my colleague and I have been on the neck of the focal person, in fact she shouted at me on the phone on Monday becos of this issue, I decided to give her some space. The pressure continues today and I sent you guys the latest from her. The issue is not even the focal person, it is the FG that is delaying the payment report and I have told them let's give them this week to see what they are up, if nothing happens, then we will strategies and take action immediately. Before we can be able to that, we must exhaust all avenues we have such as letters and social media as strategy to get to the top. So I am still pleading with the unpaid volunteer corp members to still be patient before we take any action that we might have ourselves to blame for. It was patient that brought us to where we are today. We in Lagos are so lucky, do you know how many month it took other state to select device? And here we are within one week we were paid, we are able to select device, even those that have not been paid are selecting device. This is to tell you that they are now fast tracing everything to make sure they solve the impending issues on ground. Posting issue If you are N-teach and you didn't see your name at the LGEA, be rest assure your name will appear in the next list for secondary school. As at 11am this morning, the information we got was that the ministry of education are still compiling the list after which they will dispatched them to district one, two, and three. These are the district in charge of posting to secondary school. So by Monday hopefully, the list would have been ready and information on how to check our names will be posted on this platform. Please note whether you have been paid or not, please feel free to go check your name at the appropriate time. N-agro should go to oko oba at Agricultural development Authority Agege to check your name. Are you inferring that those of us that our names are on the list now will be posted to Primary Schools? |

One of the downside of this Npower Programme is that, Federal government engaged the services of unserious fellas to spearhead it. It still baffles me that till this moment the heads in charge can't still find a workable strategy to unify the payment system. This alone is undermining the beauty of the programme. They should sit down and get this programme to work. No time on their side because to me, this is counting against them already. I hardly forgive government for any wrong against me. APC be careful ooo. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: N-POWER Lagos State Let Us Meet Here! by Anoneism(m): 2:55pm On Mar 09, 2017*. Modified: 3:21pm On Mar 09, 2017 |
We were verified in January that means we should be expecting January and February stipends. His failure to pay us for January will lead me into rendering half-hearted service throughout my engagement in this program. You can't give me less and expect much from me.
This program is one of the indices of failure of this government. How can a whole government of a country such as Nigeria come up with a program that's incoherently plan? Everything about the program is haphazard, disjointed and bereft of sincerity.
My advice to all Npowerite is to intensify the search for a better pay job. I have my reservation about this program. Stipends might stop halfway into the program.
God bless our hustle. |
