Angelfrost: Smh... The clergyman ought to know better... What happens to his integrity if or when Ize-Iyamu gets elected and messes up??! Pity!!!
Going by the logistics of what Edo people have done to avoid the yoke of a godfather in their state, the only way for Iya mumu to win is with the remote control from Aso Rock and the pain of rigging of the former chairman of the Association of Past/Present Criminals, APC. Even that one no sure, because I am confident that Edo people won't allow anyone frustrate their efforts to continue with the less bad option of the two candidates. NPN Omoboriowo Ondo 1983 on my mind.
Slawormir: Damnnnnn niggarrr Suleiman can pray for anybody That is not to say ize Iya mumu won't lose
Iya mumu don lose already. Edo people have worked excellently, from door to door, for that outcome. Na only confirmation remain. The wannabe godfather, coNrade Oshi-omo-Ole has failed woefully in his repackaging attempt.
Ize-Iyamu will take Edo back to Igbinedion’s era – Oshiomhole September 18, 2016
The Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has criticised a former Governor of the state, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, for saying Oshomhole’s successor will emerge from the Peoples Democratic Party.
Igbinedion, who was governed the state between 1999 and 2007, had recently said that the next governor would not only emerge from his political family but that the party would win by a wide margin.
But Oshiomhole told journalists at the 84th birthday celebration of a former Governor of the Midwestern region, Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia on Saturday that the state would not return to the ”dark era” of the opposition party.
The governor said that the task for residents of state on September 28, the day of the governorship poll, was to choose whether they wanted the house of Igbinedion, as allegedly represented by Pastor Ize-Iyamu, or they wanted to sustain the breakaway.
He explained, “The people have a clear choice to make. You want Igbinedion era back because Ize-Iyamu has been straight forward on it that they want to change this change to the Igbinedion era. Lucky has confirmed that one of their own would be used to reverse the clock back.”
He added, “Edo cannot return to the house of the Igbinedions… They want to use tax payers’ money to celebrate a man who has never served Edo State. ”
He called on people to vote for the All Progressives Congress candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, in order to move the state forward.
“Edo people have seen the light. They cannot go back to the dark era which the Igbinedion house represents. They will consolidate the present gain and raise it to a higher level by voting for Godwin Obaski, who is not and will never be part of the Igbinedions,” he said.
Austino50: It takes a man who has helplessly conceded defeat to go this way, by bringing pass tense to present tense. Obaseki that was the record in past not this present
Do I need to pray for sense to fall on you, so that you can see in the present tense?
When you are done reading, kindly enumerate 10 things Oshiomole, Lucky, and by extension Ize Iyamu did for the same State while they held sway.
After that, do well to point out Obaseki's sins.
I honestly want to know what he did wrong. I am mon-partisan, whatever will grow Edo is all I'm up for.
Thanks.

Golden057: Politics in Nigeria is about telling the people your achievements and plans, then expose the weakness of the opposition in other to put them in check and to remove the people's eyes from considering them.
How much do you know about politics in the other 200 or so countries in the world, to say this
dre11: FLASHBACK: Oshiomhole once wanted building named after Obaseki for ‘selfless service’
Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), once said Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, worked for the state using his brain and creativity.
Oshiomhole, who praised the governor during the governorship campaign of 2016, said a building at the government house should be named after Obaseki for his selfless service.
Oshiomhole said while he was governor of Edo, Obaseki helped him build the economy team of the state with his network.
“I know my limit. He knows his limit. Godwin Obaseki has worked for seven and half years for the people of Edo state, using his brain, creativity, quietly, not making noise,” Oshiomhole said.
“He sits in the office of the economic team which he built using his network of friends inside the heart of government house without demanding one naira.
“A man like that who will not ask me to give him contracts, but will promise me, comrade, you just do the thinking, we will create the means to actualise your thoughts. And to his credit today, check the books of Edo state, we did not build new structures in government house with government money. That economic team office was built through Godwin’s network. Today, it remains a permanent asset of the state government.
“I want us to be calling that building Godwin Obaseki building. I don’t see your opponent Ize-Iyamu being able to say that. In 2007, check the records, Ize-Iyamu was hiding from EFCC. He didn’t not vote. How can somebody who didn’t vote claim that he made me.
“If you have to look at Godwin and his credentials and you look at a man whose only work, by his CV, was a student and rusticated for two years, he read law but he is not a barrister. That is his foundation. I never gave him government job. Lucky Igbinedion’s mother was reported to have slapped Ize-Iyamu for misleading her son. He tried it with me, but we kept him away. Nothing near government circle. No access to public funds.
“Look at the road to his house, in our books, was dual carriage way. They took the money, constructed the road to his house and stopped. Although we have liquidated the godfathers politically, the entire political family will be liquidated.”
Edo people are really working hard to avoid the miserable life of Lagosians who pay IGR of different types into the Bourdillon bullion vans. Una do well o. Domo sir.
candidtalk: Go and comment on the thread below hateful IPOBian. Your cimprehensive comment and attention, complete with your silly spamming images , is needed there asap.
Awaiting your reply. Dont disappoint to confirm all you IPOBians know to do is hate on and obsess about Yorubas, their leaders, land and lives.
One would assume that someone who talks candidly will also talk sensibly. Is that a wrong assumption in your case
Modarun: at mention of Atikus name every tinubu boys grows balls and come out. What do you do with all the one that he said? Were y'all not the ones that went for his head each time he speaks? Vp Osibanjo you Stan and his master tinubu who are best in position to interfere are silent, but y'all are here demanding Atiku to speak.
hmohammed: And your state has enough parks and schools. Just appreciate Lagos for its achievements and stop running around looking for how to discredit the efforts of people and the state as a whole. Lagos is growing and will continue to. I am a northerner and really appreciate the effort of these guys particularly those charged with Governance. Tinubu well-done
You are a northerner who does not share our heritage of good governance in Awolowo, Mobolaji Johnson and Jakande. These are the people we use as yardsticks to realise that we have Bourdillon and Alausa rogues and looters who will make Abacha jealous in his grave for trying to break his thief thief record.
hmohammed: By the way, so because the population is 20million, we should be 1million parks abi? Where is the land ? We are busy in Lagos oga
Please point out where I said 1 million parks are needed because the state claims to have 20 million people. If you don’t, can you be considered a worse liar than Lai Mohammed
Why do you think that I am a Tinubu boy? Was that after going through my post history or you are too much of a lazy youth to do so
MamBi: As for me and myself, I will be taking a step Back on this Ozone issue until the air is cleared fully on this matter....
Tonight, a high Nengi is not looking good and even if her story is true about only asking Kidd to help her with her zipper, I hope they discuss the issue again when she is sober.. If she has an interest in Kidd, she should come out with her full chest and do it. If she is truly not interested in him, she needs to cut all ties with him same as she did with Prince or else he will end up damaging anything she is trying to build.
As Ozo said, trust is very important in a budding relationship and if you put yourself in a place of distrust, it’s on you to clear the air and do it emphatically.. All this two step forward, one step backward is draining..
For Erica, I honestly don’t know why she is taking this crap from Kidd. I cringe to see a woman damn all consequences because of the possibility of material or physical gratification. She has steel in her backbone but chooses not to stiffen her spine... For split seconds, you can actually see the strong woman she can be but she always makes the decision to continue to endure.. All the excuse of space and emotions is bladderdash.
As for that Kidd - tuehhhh. There is something nasty about him that I can’t unsee. I don’t care if he is upfront about who he is or not. It’s like a burglar saying to everybody that I like to steal and nothing can make me change and then society gives the person a free from jail card. I hope nemesis doesn’t catch up with him one day for all his entitled and bragging ways....
Can I please change that to does? As in I hope that nemesis does catch up with him.......
Just like nemesis has caught up with another useless preeek privileged overgrown man, FFK?
Microwhy: Religion matter is more sensitive than you think.. Apostle Sulaiman have no say because the guy is not a Christian and Atiku on the other hand, knows the rules..
This is a more reasonable comment about their PUBLIC silence, while hoping that they are working privately to forestall the senseless sentence being carried out.
banku: How many countries tailored the training of their doctors for outsiders? Until Nigeria stop wasting money on them and change the curriculum, they will continue to leave. Nobody has accused Community Health Officers of leaving Nigeria.
How many countries are routinely abandoned by their presidents to be treated by outsiders as Barawo Bubu has done for months despite billions in Aso Rock clinic budget?
ReubenE: Mr, you seem not to get the point. At this time, we don't just need people to talk for the sake of political correction. Honest and sensible Nigerians are more interested in saving the life of that young man, and the little we can do as individuals is to call out those that are entrusted with the power to save his life.
At this point, Atiku and Suleiman are not any of such people. The more time we waste on them, the closer the young gets to his grave.
The young man is condemned in apparent betrayal of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and there are people that swore to defend that constitution, for which they collect salaries. Call them out and stop beating round the Bush
Atiku and Apostle Suleiman have a much bigger voice for calling them out than me. Do you at least understand that
ReubenE: Do you really need someone to tell or teach you that they are unelected officials? Really??
Why they are on front page? You should direct that question to the owner of this forum and his moderators...or better still ask why the 2.5 million people why they are interested in the football teams they speak of.
You're just revving the engine of a vehicle that has no wheels.
Direct your anger, if you have any, to those that swore to protect us with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to save the condemned, because the young man does not have the luxury of time.
Which office is Apostle Suleiman holding? Or Atiku?
I urge you strongly to ponder on your last sentence because you seem to be looking for direction with your comment
What office were they holding when they have been using their visible platforms to speak on public matters of interest to them before now
UDUJ: As long as the son is still nowhere to be found the woman will continue her vacation in jail. That's the way things are done in the country and I support it in this case because it seems she aided her son in escaping and might really know of his whereabouts.
Is there no better way of getting the son? Tracing the calls received by the mother, for example? Messages and money transferred to her, is another.
abdulhadi101: U all need to watch the video first, to get the full picture, from what i see that Collins guy did the job alone, or with the two remaining suspect that are on the run. His story didnt checkout at all, the 1M and 1.5M narrative he gave is already looking like a lie. and he is the one feeling the heat more from his speech, seems like the spirit of the girl is already hunting him
Spoiling better analysis with the religious flavour as usual. Dem take religion swear for us
Sanchez01: If I could boil and get riled up reading this graphic narrative, I wonder how Uwa's family would feel. Poor soul. It would be disappointing to see that these guys get jail terms. They all deserved to be killed in the most excruciating way possible.
The Edo State government, should, as a matter of urgency, hire a saddist to develop a killing plan that will make them feel every air on their skin painful.
Your president/vice, governors/Minister of Justice are all on oath to defend the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
A young man is about to face the gallows under apparent betrayal of our constitution, and you are here running after unelected officials that did not swear any oath.
We are truly blind and lost in this country
If they are unelected officials, why are they on the front page of nairaland? Why are 2.5 million nairalanders supposed to be interested in what they say about the football teams of our colonial masters who destroyed (& continue to destroy) our country and continent? Now guess who is truly blind & lost
