flyingpig: Rotating the benefit Time for another person and his relatives with friends to chop from national cake. I commend president buhari for this.
You commend Buhari for fighting encouraging corruption? Or what is your commendation about?
wilsonm: What a Nice gesture from president Muhammadu buhari. Nigeria is a great country but some people are trying to destroy these country and divide us.
Why are you so confused? Nice gesture from the man trying to destroy THIS country and divide us Are you for real?
jidamsel43: Congratulations to him. This shows that Nigeria is truly the giant of Africa
Giant of global extreme poverty and out of school children? Or giant of what indices? GDP per capita When will you wake up from your lazy youth slumber and get to work on your governments- local, state & federal?
President Muhammadu Buhari has berated Nigerian youths for being 'uneducated' and 'not ready to work'.
President Buhari, while speaking during a panel discussion at the Commonwealth business forum in Westminster, London, expressed displeasure with youths in Nigeria because they were dependent on revenue from oil to survive.
He said the youths, who make up 60 percent of the population, were waiting to get social amenities free without doing anything.
"And then the economy. We have a very young population and our population is estimated conservatively to be 180 million. The 60 percent of the population is below the age of 30. A lot of them have not been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria has been an oil producing country and therefore they should sit and do nothing and get housing, healthcare and education free,"
The moderator had asked Buhari to give his final thoughts on the issues discussed. The President said he had fulfilled his campaign promises by improving on the nation’s security and the economy.
White007: This is Yusuf. He doesn't like to work. He stays in a free house, eats free meals and rides a power bike all day long. When sick, he flies a chartered or presidential plane to some of the finest hospitals to treat himself all for free. Yusuf is a #LazyNigerianYouths Don't be like Yusuf
Like the president who gave Adesina the opportunity to shine as a stepping stone to continental glory The president who did not listen to APC liars when they accused Adesina as minister of phone scandal of billions? Do you know what you are talking about or you are just an empty rambler
rafcrown: Some racists will be crying now. They just don't want to see us progress.
If you work enough you will progress. China is progressing, do you think it is because "the racists" want to see it progress? You better get to work, otherwise you will forever cry while telling yourself lies about racists crying about your mirage achievements. Stop wailing! Start working!!!
RichDad1: Meanwhile, PDP came for house to house campaigns. They urged me to vote for them. I asked if APC has done well in the last four years in EDO, they shouted "No!", then I asked who was the APC Governor, one of them said "Godwin Obaseki".
We need to drive the public opinion for the privatisation of our football clubs and the league management itself to fully unleash the potentials for jobs, merchandising, economic growth etc. Abi na how many of the oyinbo clubs dey for dem government hands
mayklef: what happened to the hospitals in Benue State....anyways RIP 2 d dead
The same thing that happened to the Aso Rock clinic of billions and hospitals in Nigeria that makes Barawo Bubu to always go to London for months and his wife too.
WibusJaga: That's about $600 per week! Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester over $90,000 per week! It is well.
How much tax do you pay? How much do all the people around you pay as taxes yearly? Compared to the people of Leicester? Blacks always looking for awoof and complaining eternally but not ready to lift a finger to work for their individual and common goals. You go wail tire!
christejames: But what has been the performance of South African teams on the continent compared to Nigerian team? I admit we still have a long way to go but what you should know is that NPFL is not seating in a place, it's evolving.
I like your doggedness for educating and enlightening our mental slavery fellow citizens, who don't want to work for the better things they want to see. God bless you real good. Amen!
Jestin: Ogunn will kill Oshiomole if he force Ize-Iyamu on the people of my state .
Instead of invoking Ogun, you better rally round everyone you know on why Obaseki is better than the acid-throwing cultist and thief packaged as the messiah pastor. Campaign and election na work. It is not about invoking Ogun. You hear me so
ukeleh: If this your prediction is a curse may it return back you. May your life be like the way Obaseki made Edo state without development for the past four years Amin.
Why do you invite God's wrath by telling lies and cursing someone on top? Is that wisdom, craziness or madness? What is it
When you are done reading, kindly enumerate 10 things Oshiomole, Lucky, and by extension Ize Iyamu did for the same State while they held sway.
After that, do well to point out Obaseki's sins.
I honestly want to know what he did wrong. I am mon-partisan, whatever will grow Edo is all I'm up for.
Thanks.

dre11: FLASHBACK: Oshiomhole once wanted building named after Obaseki for ‘selfless service’
Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), once said Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, worked for the state using his brain and creativity.
Oshiomhole, who praised the governor during the governorship campaign of 2016, said a building at the government house should be named after Obaseki for his selfless service.
Oshiomhole said while he was governor of Edo, Obaseki helped him build the economy team of the state with his network.
“I know my limit. He knows his limit. Godwin Obaseki has worked for seven and half years for the people of Edo state, using his brain, creativity, quietly, not making noise,” Oshiomhole said.
“He sits in the office of the economic team which he built using his network of friends inside the heart of government house without demanding one naira.
“A man like that who will not ask me to give him contracts, but will promise me, comrade, you just do the thinking, we will create the means to actualise your thoughts. And to his credit today, check the books of Edo state, we did not build new structures in government house with government money. That economic team office was built through Godwin’s network. Today, it remains a permanent asset of the state government.
“I want us to be calling that building Godwin Obaseki building. I don’t see your opponent Ize-Iyamu being able to say that. In 2007, check the records, Ize-Iyamu was hiding from EFCC. He didn’t not vote. How can somebody who didn’t vote claim that he made me.
“If you have to look at Godwin and his credentials and you look at a man whose only work, by his CV, was a student and rusticated for two years, he read law but he is not a barrister. That is his foundation. I never gave him government job. Lucky Igbinedion’s mother was reported to have slapped Ize-Iyamu for misleading her son. He tried it with me, but we kept him away. Nothing near government circle. No access to public funds.
“Look at the road to his house, in our books, was dual carriage way. They took the money, constructed the road to his house and stopped. Although we have liquidated the godfathers politically, the entire political family will be liquidated.”
dangermouse: I agree totally that it was not a herdsmen related killing. Looking at the level of the well opening with the ground, she could have easily fallen into the well in the dark.
If she fell into the well, is the owner of the guest house not culpable for manslaughter by negligence
miracood: A Lifeless Unidentified Body has been found in a Lodge behind New Creation Academy in Bida, Niger State. At the scene of the Incident the Chief security Officer of the Federal Polytechnic Bida in person of Idris Sulieman said some Herdsmen who were in search of their missing cow called and reported that they've found a Dead body in a well. He made necessary phone calls among which were the Police and Local Government chairman and informed them of the unfortunate incident. A Team of medical Personnel from the Federal Medical Center Bida later moved the body from the Scene of the incident to FMC to ascertain the cause of death. Details of this, as the Police are still investigating. Source: The Federal Polythecnic Bida Facebook group What could have been the cause of her death?
Are the fulani headsmen responsible?
What could she still be doing in school, in this trying times?
Let me ask the Lagos landlord, who owns all the educated & sophisticated Lagosians.
OmoOshodi: FG representative is only stylishly asking DSTV to rub hands....bribe them(the corrupt rep)to enable them(DSTV) inflict hardship on Nigerian
You na sabi man. You know how things roll in this cesspit government of corruption, looting and stealing. Sad! Terrible! Pathetic!!!
okoroemeka: Let them increase the charges without considering how people will pay for that, I stopped using DStv since last 3 years or so and ported to my smart phone,I am predicting that in the future ,smart phones will sink satellite TV.
Did Barawo Bubu and his APC rogues consider how people will pay for all the imported items we use when they increased forex rates to over N500 in 2017 and now almost N500 again? Why you no want face your lootocrats in government- local, state and federal
Buhari Has Created Another System Of Corruption – Emir Sanusi
As many commended Emir Sanusi for his timely statement on the Nigerian economy, others however, chose to focus on a particular statement he made which many see as “carrying weight” as it suggests something quite interesting. Sanusi while delivering a lecture on Wednesday at the 15th meetings of the joint planning board and national council on development planning in Kano, titled ‘Nigeria in search of new growth model’, has made some shocking statements which attracted commendations from economic experts, but concern to ordinary Nigerians. He accused the Buhari led administration for indirectly following the path of recent administration on issues relating to financial fraud. He puts it as quoted below: ‘’We can always talk of the policies of the previous administration and we talk of oil subsidy and how it turned people into oil millionaires. But we have created another set of millionaires since 2015 from foreign exchange. ‘‘The people telling the government that if you devalue people will suffer are the ones benefiting presently. They bought the dollar at N179 and price their goods at N300.The poor pay the price of a devalued currency, the rich take the profit. “You may not like it, but that is the truth. Any system that allows you, with one telephone call, to make N1bn without investing one kobo; the system is wrong,” Sanusi added.
NIGERIANS REACT Following this stunning revelations, Nigerians have since expressed outrage that the government which promised to fight corruption, turned out to be most corrupt itself. They also accused the Buhari administration of destroying the Nigerian economy and creating hardship for Nigerians by using scarce forex to enrich a few individuals in the name of subsidy. Below are some of the reactions we compiled. Mrs Helen a petty trader, who spoke in hausa expressed her disappointment with the current government, she said, “All my life I’ve never seen such a cruel and heartless government like this one. Since this government came into power, things has been getting worse. Our husbands are either losing their jobs, or are not being paid for months. All we’ve been hearing is ‘be patient, be patient,’ for God sake, what would we gain if our patience took us to our early grave? While they are telling us to be patient, many have already died. Tell me, what is their benefit? Many have also become thieves even stealing cooked food just to survive. I don’t blame APC, I blame those who voted and bring this evil upon us. Now look at it, they are busy sharing our monies to themselves. God is watching! Adamu in his own reaction, simply said, “If they like, let them eat the whole central bank. God will not leave us alone.” Any system that allows you, with one telephone call, to make N1bn without investing one kobo; the system is wrong – SANUSI
The only reason I keep a Premium subscription is to watch Formula 1! After the season, I don’t even care about DStv. They are within their rights to increase prices; they do not pay for content in Naira. With the current value of the naira, they need more naira to pay for your favorite shows and sporting events
This year go rugged ooooo but we must watch Formula 1
You make too much sense. Are you sure that you are a Nigerian? You are definitely not one of the 200 million mumus that Lagbaja called us Nigerians.
