GloriousGbola: So you have corroborated what I said. Tinubu Turned a serial loser into a winner. Buhari himself said he no dey do again Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the man most directly responsible for kicking your principal out of Aso rock If you like call him jobber, call him drug lord, call him janja - he unseated and ended your party's 60 year reign and now pdp is a corpse. You have no anchor and just run around wailing Poor guy, see as you have a folder full of obsessively collated bookmarks on the nemesis and destroyer of pdp Can you post a link to the lion of bourdillon documentary while you are at it? I am sure you saved it.
He betrayed Nigerians by begging Buhari to make Jonathan a one term president, after APC invited terrorists to destroy Nigeria.
By so doing, he ended 16 years of PDP prosperity, peace and security with cheap petrol, cheap dollars and less debt burden.
GloriousGbola: Begging Buhari Is that how you rewrite the history we lived through Tinubu made Buhari - a thrice failed candidate I can see you bringing all the hits from back then apc janja 😜😜 Did you by any chance have the moniker show your certificate at the time 😏 Still butt sore after all these years when your principals have moved on.
GloriousGbola: Saraki betrayed his father and sister He stabbed your hero gej in the back Less than a year later he stabbed apc in the back Then you jokers let him and Atiku back into your party A much more coherent statement from you would be why and how does tinubu make peace with so many former foes? FFK, fayose, reno, Obanikoro, Etal. In the end he knows they are just hustling political jobbers Look at how your hard on deflated sharp sharp watching the dynamic duo of Osun dancing in Aso rock after making noise on social media
In the end, Tinubu is the master political jobber, begging Buhari to make Jonathan a one term president after APC invited terrorists to destroy Nigeria.
That was four years after he called Buhari expired o.
GloriousGbola: Saraki the serial betrayer green snake in green grass. Maybe he is lobbying for another resurrection of his wayo bank. From Société generale to heritage bank to chop and quench 3
If Saraki is a serial betrayer then what is Tinubu? Do you have a worse word for him
Ashirioluwa: Nigerian politics is a transactional system driven by elite survival, fluid loyalties, and patronage rather than fixed ideologies. It operates as a high-stakes competition for state resources where party labels matter less than individual power brokers.
Is this a reflection of what Nigerian people are, with our tribalistic zoning and rotation system in sharing the national cake of corruption
Truths9ja: Politics is a game of interests and alliances. What matters most is whether these coalitions can translate into better governance, stronger institutions and improved living conditions for Nigerians.
How has it translated into any of these things since 1999
yemre: Very apt response to his long epistle. Imagine someone who ruled a major eastern state for complete 8 years with absolutely nothing to show, no schools built, no factories (except a brewery), no jobs created, no nothing! Why - because if he did any of these, some people would benefit clandestinely. The contractors would make money, the committees, organizers and the engineers would make money, tagging it corruption.
So also all his cabinet members are not proud to claim to have worked with him because he never rooted for any of them to see them succeed! But now, he wants every ton, dick and harry to support him and make him president. He should start by telling us all the things he did in Anambra while he was the governor that he can still point at today as his legacy. Maybe by then we'll start to take him seriously.
Tinubu ruled Lagos for 8 years, left in 2007 (almost 20 years ago), yet, even a child born 7 years ago is already aware of the infrastructures built by Tinubu administration that people are still using today, he grew Lagos IGR from 6Billion to 30Billion within the period, and the same Lagos is the place that this very opposition candidate, all his people and all his supporters, who double as Tinubu's haters today can not do without. He himself can not stay 2 months outside of Lagos. Yet, he is asking Tinubu to come and defend his competence!
I think he should rather concentrate on his campaign than all of this. Alternatively, he should just concede defeat and endorse President Tinubu as his preferred candidate and ask all his supporters to follow suit.
Why did Tinubu fail in eight years of his own tenure and 27 years of his master plan, to achieve a tiny fraction of what Jakande did in just four years of relative chicken change
Splashme: The first civilian governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, on Tuesday, said that the cancellation of the Lagos metroline project in 1985 was a major mistake and disservice to many Nigerians.
Jakande spoke in Lagos during the launch of a book which chronicled his life in politics and journalism.
The book, entitled, ‘Jakande: Leadership in Action’ is written by Dr. Bola Olaosebikan, who told the audience at the event that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), was not responsible for the cancellation of the project.
Jakande said, “Reflecting on the metroline project, I think it is a major disservice to many Nigerians. Imagine how many people would have benefitted. It would have made life easier and changed the face of transport in Lagos. Whoever cancelled it or gave the advice towards its cancellation didn’t do right.”
The former governor asked Nigerians not to vote for unserious leaders in the coming polls, saying the elections presented Nigerians with a good opportunity that should not be squandered.
Expressing the hope that Nigeria would soon overcome its developmental challenges, Jakande said hope would be actualised faster if credible people emerged as leaders in the next dispensation.
He said, “This book comes at a very auspicious time in Nigeria’s history as we need leaders who can act. We need leaders who would not compromise the standards of good governance. God has blessed this nation the most in Africa, although we have not reached where we should be; with the right leaders, Nigeria would overcome its challenges.”

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?
IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.
NLCreator: Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has defended the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the national assembly.
There have been reports that the leadership of the 10th national assembly has bought SUVs for all lawmakers.
Each SUV is said to be valued at N160 million.
The LP had asked members of the party in the national assembly to kick against “wastage”.
While responding to questions during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Anambra said the SUVs are not personal cars of the lawmakers, noting that they are for official use.
“Let me start with the issue of Labour Party members in the house. I have actually discussed this issue with them,” Obi said.
“Surprisingly, I can tell you I heard that these vehicles are official cars. They have to use it. It is meant for office.
“So it is not as if it is their vehicle. They said it is official cars and you are meant to use it while you are in the senate.”
Obi also hinted at contesting for the country’s number one position in 2027, adding that Nigeria deserves dedicated and visionary leaders who will lead the country towards a brighter future.
aduboy: Anambra distributes 177 vehicles to traditional rulers
Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, on Monday in Awka, distributed one SUV each to the traditional rulers of the 177 communities in the state.
Obi handed over one of the vehicles’ key to the state Chairman of the Traditional Rulers’ Council, Igwe Alfred Achebe, Obi of Onitsha.
He said that the gesture was aimed at helping them run and build better communities, adding that the vehicles would also help the traditional rulers to function effectively.
“If you have better communities, you will have a better Anambra, Anambra today is changing for better and I want this sustained,” the governor said.
“In doing that, the state government and the local government will do what it can to support the building of a better Anambra.”
Achebe said that he was overjoyed because the governor cared about the well-being and welfare of the traditional rulers.
“It is completely unprecedented in Anambra and probably elsewhere in Nigeria,” he said.
“It is a mighty gesture from the governor and for the government of the state to make a distinct impact on the well-being of the traditional rulers in the state.”
According to him, it was one of the several measures the present administration in the state had taken to improve the wellbeing of the traditional rulers.
“We pray that God will give us a successor that will continue from where Obi has left and lift Anambra to the next level.”

chisomkachy: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the alleged money laundering suit it filed at the Federal High Court against Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
Naija News understands that the anti-graft did not give any particular reason for its application for withdrawal.
Following the application to withdraw, Justice Nicholas Oweibo discharged the ‘lien/Post No Debit’ placed on Obasa’s three accounts in Standard Chartered Bank.
The accounts are (US Dollars) 0001852063; (Current) 0001852056 and (Saving) 5002309624.
The judge also set aside the ex-parte orders he made on September 15, 2020, which led to the freezing of the accounts.
Recall that the court on September 15, 2020, granted an interim order freezing Obasa’s accounts following the EFCC’s application in a suit marked FHC/LCS/1064/2020.
The agency had said it was investigating the Speaker for the alleged offences of conspiracy, diversion of funds, abuse of office and money laundering.
But Justice Oweibo, on August 16, 2023, heard the application to unfreeze the accounts in his chamber.
During the hearing, the EFCC was represented by Mr. Sulaiman I. Sulaiman, while Obasa was represented by Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).
The EFCC lawyer told the court that the application to unfreeze the accounts was pursuant to Section 44(2)(K) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Sections 26, 29 and 34 (1) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
Section 44 of the Constitution concerns constitutional rights to property.
Justice Oweibo held: “It is hereby ordered that an order is hereby granted to the respondent/applicant setting aside the ex-parte orders of this court made on the 15th day of September 2020 upon the ex-parte motion of the Applicant/ Respondent in relation the funds of the Respondent/Applicant domiciled in the accounts stated in the following schedule:
“ACCOUNT NAME, FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INSTITUTIONS, TYPE OF ACCOUNT, 1. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered, (US Dollars) 0001852063 2. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Current) 0001852056 3. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Saving) 5002309624.
“Issued at Lagos, under the seal of this Honourable Court and by the hands of the Presiding Judge this 16th day of August 2023.”

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun made this known at the end of the inaugural Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja. Mr. Edun said that the benefit of the subsidy removal will be plough back into various sectors to improve business environment for local and foreign investment. He added that with the increased revenue from subsidy removal, various palliatives have been made available to cushion its effect on a short, medium and long-term basis.
Ofunaofu: Report: Current Govt Added More Debt in Two Years Than Nigeria Accumulated in 55 Years
• Decries Nigeria’s debt service-to-revenue ratio
•Urges FG to declare fiscal emergency
A new policy brief has warned that Nigeria’s worsening debt profile and weak revenue generation have pushed the country into a dangerous fiscal position, with the current administration accumulating more debt in two years than Nigeria recorded during its first 55 years after independence.
The report, released by the Alliance for Economic Research and Ethics LTD/GTE, a Nigerian policy think tank, argued that the country’s debt crisis has evolved into a governance and revenue emergency, as debt servicing obligations now exceed the federal government’s retained earnings. > > According to the think tank, Nigeria’s public debt rose sharply from N87.38 trillion in June 2023 to N159.28 trillion by the end of 2025, with President Bola Tinubu’s administration accounting for about N65.9 trillion of the increase within its first two years in office.
The organisation in the brief titled: “Nigeria Is Borrowing to Breathe—and the Clock Is Ticking”, noted that Nigeria accumulated only about N12.06 trillion in debt from independence in 1960 up to 2015, meaning the current administration added more than five times that amount in just 24 months.
The report stated that while previous governments also contributed significantly to the country’s rising debt burden, the speed of accumulation under the current administration had intensified concerns over fiscal sustainability.
“President Bola Tinubu’s administration has added a further N65.9 trillion in just two years. To put that in perspective: it took Nigeria’s first 55 years of independence to accumulate N12 trillion in debt. The current administration has added more than five times that amount in 24 months,” it argued.
It recalled that Nigeria briefly became almost debt-free externally after the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo secured an $18 billion Paris Club debt relief package in 2005 and paid $12 billion to extinguish about $30 billion in external obligations.
Penguin2: As the campaign for 2027 presidential election kicked off, Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the ADC, has ignited a very troubling conversation by suggesting he would return fuel subsidy if elected.
While the suggestion is populist, like most people have described it, and appealing to the ignorant masses who do not understand the dynamics of macroeconomics, there’s need to educate the electorate against such proposition.
First, returning fuel subsidy means returning to square one of what successive governments have been trying to solve before Tinubu eventually damned all consequences to remove it.
If you return subsidy today, agreed their might be some temporary relief for the masses as the price of fuel might drop drastically, and with it the price of transportation and basic commodities in the short term, in the medium and long term, Nigeria will simply return to the Egypt that it is currently trying to exit.
What I mean is this…. After about 6 months paying subsidy, government finances will begin to strain. The money going to State Governments will reduce from what it currently is, and with time, States will start finding it difficult to pay salaries again.
Then in the long term, government will, all over again, begin the campaign for fuel subsidy removal to free up funds.
After some years, another president that is not Atiku will come and decide that fuel subsidy is no longer sustainable, again, and we will hear that evil phrase again - “subsidy is gone.”
Do I need to tell you what will happen again?
Fuel prices will skyrocket again.
Cost of transportation will balloon again.
Prices of basic commodities will start flying again.
And then what? We return to this current situation that Atiku is proposing to save us from; all over again.
So, before you jump to support Atiku, think it through.
The mistake you are going to make in jumping to support Atiku because he’s promising to return fuel subsidy is the same mistake that some Nigerians made in 2012 by joining political jobbers to protest against Jonathan when he removed subsidy during his presidency.
What later happened? The same person that led that protest became president 12 years later and removed the same subsidy that he led ignorant people to protest against.
So, before you support Atiku, ask yourself if you want Nigeria to keep running round a circle or to move on from every stage and hurdle we have crossed?
The effect of fuel subsidy removal is biting hard, admitted, but the solution is not to return it, rather we should continue to bear it until we achieve equilibrium. That way, we are sure we and our children are never going to have to suffer the effects of subsidy removal again.
Penguin is a bird of reason.
How is penguin not a bird of propaganda lies in balablu bulaba proportion
NNPCL’s subsidy payment jump by 47.9% to N7.1trn in 2024
November 26, 2025
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) paid a total of N7.1 trillion as subsidy for premium motor spirit (PMS) in 2024, this sum represents a 47.9 percent increase from N4.8 trillion recorded in 2023.
This is despite the government’s announcement of subsidy removal in 2023.
The company explained that the amount, which it termed ‘energy security expense’ arises when there is differential between the exchange rate used to freeze the premium motor spirit ex-coastal price and the prevailing rate at the point of import settlement.
According to the report, government had instructed that NNPC Limited cannot sell its PMS above a certain regulated price. It added that the cost of petrol import is usually much higher that the regulated price.

Tinubu will throw them under the bus without thinking it twice should thing go south. His style of politics is too selfish. Is all about him. You must deliver for him not him delivering for you.
A lot of unknown people in the North use Buhari popularity to win election in 2015 the same with Peter obi under his obedient movement in 2023. But for Tinubu own, it is vice versa. It is you that will deliver for him. The same tinubu that can't deliver himself in lagos. It all about him.
" Singing on your mandate we shall stand" will not save you if you don't give him what he wants. Tinubu believe that you must win at all cost for him and failure to do that. E don be for you. That's the reason he said " All is Fair in politics".

Let’s even forget about El Rufai who was a key part of his political family in the north.
What of Oyetola, his family by blood? If he can throw him under the bus to cut a deal with Adeleke for his reelection and 3rd term agenda for life president dictator, then who is safe? Who is indispensable? Who can the master strategist not dispose of, as he fights for more power, to grab and run with it for destruction of everything around him?

It was a meeting of two of Nigeria’s most influential politicians in London – President Muhammadu Buhari was visiting political kingmaker and senior member of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
In July, the presidency announced that Mr Buhari was heading to London for an education summit. The office also added that the president would also see his doctors for “medical check-up”.
Coincidentally, Mr Tinubu, who had travelled to London earlier, was also receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the British capital. So, a perfect setting for both men to meet was created.
Olalere Oyewumi, Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council (TICC), discloses that the Administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke has cleared 18 months out of the 30 months of half-salary arrears inherited from the immediate past administration in Osun State under the All Progressives Congress (APC)

anonimi: Wike lobbied PDP committee to be Atiku’s running mate – Ex-gov’ship aspirant
Thu, 29 Sep 2022 14:33:04 WAT
Muazu Magaji, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano State, has alleged that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, lobbied members of the party’s committee constituted to advise the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the choice of his running mate.
Magaji disclosed this while speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, on Thursday.
The Kano politician also argued that there was no proof that Atiku promised Wike the vice president position as claimed.
The PDP committee had recommended the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and Wike.
The committee, however, scored Wike above the other two contenders but Atiku decided to settle for Okowa. A decision that has since unsettled Wike’s camp.
Magaji, however, claimed that Wike lobbied to be scored ahead of others, adding that the Rivers State governor should not be trusted with important positions in the country.
2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury
Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld.
One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast.
Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest.
ddippset: Says a man who hijacked the party and singlehandedly produced the last 4 National Chairmen of the party for his own selfishness.
Says a man who accepted nomination to be running mate to Fulani Atiku. He knew it was injustice to give Atiku the ticket yet he lobbied to be the VP.
He knew the party had to go South for the 2023 election, yet he still put Secondus as National Chaiman just to hijack the party.. Only to push Secondus out because he wanted the ticket 2023.
This man remains the biggest problem of PDP.
He can only deceive and fool his minions, not reasonable people.
stanluiz: That's power that he is given to wike, i hope wike will not use that power to challenge him as the president.
Wike has taken things too far. He has said what he is not supposed to say. Even tinubu himself as president can't even say some things wike said. But wike said it, yet tinubu couldn't reign or control him.
The day he will say no to wike that wike will unleashed whatever he has on him. We know how such relationship always end.
Was this Wike giving a foretaste of what you described below
Did Atiku have such powers when he was vice president of ingrate Obasanjo?
iwaeda: Wike Boasts Of Helping APC Use Judiciary To Kill Osun LG Funds Case, Warns Party Leaders Against Ingratitude
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly boasted that he assisted certain elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in deploying the judiciary to frustrate the Osun State local government allocation lawsuit.
In a video now circulating widely on social media and obtained by SaharaReporters, Wike made the claim while addressing a crowd in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The former Rivers governor accused the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, of benefitting from judicial actions against the Osun State Government without knowing those who did the work behind the scenes.
The suit in question led to the withholding of local government funds in Osun State, a development widely seen as targeting the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as opposition in the state.
Wike, who spoke angrily, suggested that the court action supporting the APC’s position against the Osun government did not happen by chance, boasting that powerful political forces worked quietly to ensure the outcome.
“Don’t take our support for Mr President for granted,” Wike warned, in an apparent message to APC leaders defending Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. “You have to be careful about the statements you make. You have to be very careful.”
He accused Basiru of political ingratitude, claiming the APC was enjoying in Osun State without understanding who engineered their advantage.
“Today, you are enjoying in Osun. You don’t know those who did the work,” Wike said. “You are opening your mouth to talk about Rivers State.”
Wike must be speaking for his lack of knowledge and history.
The voodoo economist is the master strategist who accused Jonathan, Wike’s former boss of the same thing.
How much debt has Tinubu borrowed and how much money is he saving in foreign reserves?
anonimi: March 8, 2013 Nigeria operating voodoo economy – Tinubu
FORMER Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, yesterday, dissected Nigeria’s economy and declared that the country was operating a voodoo economic policy that is pauperising the citizenry and urged urgent economic surgery to save the polity.
For instance, Tinubu wondered why the Federal Government is maintaining a foreign reserve of $46 billion with one or two per cent interest and shouldering a load of $42 billion domestic debt, which it services with 16 per cent interest.
“This is voodoo economy,” he said, adding, “they are operating it because they don’t know what to do. It is choking the private sector.
“We must in this country do away with the idea of ‘it is better save the money and spend the people.’ Rather I will say we should adopt the policy of ‘it is better to save the people and spend the fund.’
