Good evening Everyone

I need assistance with something. I need you to help me rectify an issue I am facing with OPay. Help me understand how this banking sector work.

I use Opay for my data/airtime subscriptions. I do USSD for this purpose until I bought airtime beyond the amount I had in mind. I bought 3k worth of airtime instead of 300 twice.


After those experiences, I switched to Opay.

Recently, I brought data worth 2k using their platform. The transaction was successful. The problem is I brought this data plan using the mtn number. Which is my fault actually, I own the mistake. I am supposed to buy using the Glo number but then...

Then, the transaction was successful but I received nothing either through mtn or glo number.

I contacted Opay they referred me to network providers. I contacted MTN Nigeria, and MTN referred me back to them even asked them to write to them.

To clear my doubt I contacted @Glong. Have been waiting for Glo response which is not forthcoming. I have called their customer care, Sent email, yet. No response. if there is a way to contact Glo help me

What am I going to do?

But then these questions are begging for answers

Which channel was the money remitted to?

Since the destination made for the transaction is faulty, why not halt the transaction because I know that banks do reverse or don't approve transactions with errors.?

Still, it's not in your place to discard these items for him. Seizing his properties shows there isn't much difference between him and you.

I understand where you are coming from but then I was triggered by frustration. I didn't wake up to seize those stuff for seizing sake. It was a reaction.

I am so different from him.

What I seized is like a print out from a computer system which which he can reprint without stress. The only stress he would pass through is to go back to his house and reprint them.

You seem to have handled the situation best you could,obviously your boss is not a person who appreciates kindness much. I would advice that if possible, you end what seems a one-sided relationship if you can. I say," If you can" since I understand that it isn't easy to get out of all cases particularly if you benefit a great deal from having it than loosing it.

However, to properly clear your conscience, please return whatever it was he left in that bag to him before moving on. If possible, send it back by mail or drop it off at the new place for him to pick up at his own leisure.

Maybe why I feel this way is because he gave me a platform to acquire a skill. It's more like apprentice-oga relationship. No matter what there will always be reference to him. This reference is a constant reminder. People would ask where I gained my experience. So, you see.

About those stuff, he doesn't need them again.

I have this concern and its kinda pricking my conscience.
During my days as student, I worked for a young as an office girl to raise money for school expense and all (I started few months to my graduation).

The problem:
For one reason or another, he decided to relocate to a new place within the area.
The relocation slowed the process because a lot of things need to be put into place. to this effect, his desktop computer wasn't available to work with at that moment.

So, he needed to deliver an urgent work, he called me to release the job for him to fix, it was when I came to give him the job that he told me that he will be needing my laptop to do the job which I gave him without doubt or second thought.

l left the laptop for him incase he has other jobs to do. Some weeks later I needed the service of the laptop urgently. So, I told my boss one Sunday I need the laptop, Whenever he is coming to the new place he should come along with it. He said ok and asked by what time precisely. I told him whenever in day he is coming to place

He said ok, no problem he will bring it later in the day.
Later in the day, No call from him. around 3pm, I called him, severally he didn't pick
He didn't return the calls either.
I called him again around 9 p.m he picked.
Me: Good evening, I have been calling you to know how far with laptop you didn't pick up
Oga: I went to traditional marriage.
Me: oh! but you should have pick those calls or return the calls at least to inform
Oga: Are you ok, I told you I went to wedding.
I said ok and ended the call.
Though I was very angry about the incident but I kept my cool. I needed the laptop to do a design for someone

On monday morning I called my boss severally for same cause, oga no pick. Later in the Afternoon, memo was released by dept stating that our project defence starts on Wednesday and I am yet to get my project ready for defense (Necessary correction and supervisor's signature)

The project material is the laptop.
I resumed calling my boss again, he didn't pick.At this point, I became enraged. I was so mad.
later in the evening, I called him again, same response. I forwarded him a message. He called, he said I should come to new place to get the laptop.

I rushed to the place, called him he said he is coming. I waited for boss for about 30 mins, by then my phone has gone off. I used his neighbor's phone to call him. he response was that he came and didn't see me so, he left. He ended the call.

I called him again, he didn't pick
I called him again, he didn't pick.
I was outside till 9pm hoping he will pick up the call. He should pick the damn call so I can make arrangement to meet him wherever he is to pick my stuff but my boss ignored me.

On Tuesday, my quest met the same fate.
I forwarded another message to him, he ignored the message.
Tomorrow being Wednesday my Defence starts and here I am I without clue on what to do.
How Do I start afresh with project?

I was ignored, stressed, angry and frustrated.

This is someone that will wake up me at any time as late as 12am to do something for him and I will always obliged to do it even under rain, as early as 4:30am
So, What is happening?
I called my boss for the umpteenth time, he didn't pick rather sent a message to come to a lecture's office to pick my stuff which I did.

I picked my stuff and left
So the next day, He called me return the stuff he forgot in the laptop bag. . I told him he left nothing in my bag and that was it. I seized those stuff I didn't return the those stuff to him. I did it in retaliation of the frustration and angry I went through. Though


Based on our earlier discussion before the fight, he was supposed to call me to clean the new place but he never did. he called his former employee.

He never called and I never called.
So, I throw this open to the house to judge this incident and fault me where necessary. I feel sad each time I remember this incident because my boss and I were good friends before the fight.
