We are still looking for kanu's letter of apology to buhari not the one written by Daura lawal's DSS. We want to hear him apologize in the courtroom.

If the DSS suceeds in getting him apologize in the courtroom, i'm sure he will lose many of his teeming followers. DSS can no longer be believed. They once claimed he was caught with prostitutes, later it became just one prostitute with a conjured name 'maryam Ibezimakor' whose existence is still unverifiable.

Mazi Uche mefor his deputy director has debunked the said phantom apology and sees the desperate attempt to tarnish Kanu's image as a sign of discomfort for lawal daura's DSS who are under intense pressure from both local and international rights organization to release the Biafran Activist who is just a political prisoner in the hands of dictator buhari after losing series of courtcases to kanu.

As much as it may be politically expedient to release him by dropping the charges on him midway in the judiciary process, it doesn't test our laws very well and it is setting a bad precedence.
What you are asking for will lead to a gale of requess for the release some BH members in prisons.

Let's say by an "Act of God" a referendum was conducted in the SE and whichever part is included in the proposed Biafra and it passes whatever criteria needed to secede (we can get into what it really takes to get a referendum in a different post). I envisage a looming legal conundrum which will make the actualization of Biafra a major hurdle. We don't have any provision for secession in our Constitution so we need an amendment. Without an amendment, anybody can sue the legality of the new Biafra and break it up in a courtroom.

Long and short of this is, in addition to getting a referendum, we also need a constitutional amendment. The process to amend the constitution is separate from a referendum and it involves the entire country getting to vote on the amendment.
