Brother that's a nice advice but what I hate most in my life is debt , I don't have peace whenever I know am owing somebody . I was even thinking about selling the property(located in d city of port Harcourt) but I am serious thinking of how my parents will feel. They have already advertised to there colleague at work that there son is doing very well not knowing that I am having artificial grey hair because of building a house.
I am seriously depressed , is not like I have any work , I made the money mostly from sports betting . I rushed to build because I don't wanna lose the money back to them.
If you sell it you're going back to square one .. look for a loan with agreement . Jaize bank would not even collect interest .
When you finish it rent it all out and pay back the loan . Rent in pH is high . Hustle northerners to finish up the building they don't charge much . And they are good .
Even fed govt dey borrow money as you dey waste Tim price of cement dey increase

time in school is never wasted, there are people who wants to be on nairaland as you, but can't because the knowledge of how is not there. that is just the least. have you ever imagine how it would be coming across many written signs and all you could do is just walk by without knowing what is on a single one? more like the blind mehn. education is never wasted, forget the present situation, later you will appreciate it.

Most people know how to read and write from secondary school ..
University education is a waste guuy

Guy, no be waste o, though it seems so to you. That education you gained must have set you apart from other parts dealer in terms of your approach to business especially dealing with all kinds of customers.

I don't even know how to start selling it . Now that I've wasted my time in school .
Besides where is the capital to do that .

Education just sets you up to do your 9-5 job and be contented with a minimum wage salary

You can't get any good car at that rate. Good and durable cars are not cheap.
If we insist, they will try since the vehicles are more of Chinese origin.
Alot of Chinese cheap cars are already in the market . Ie hijet and others .
Luxry cars are not cheap agreed . But then basic cars are cheap and if we make them here they would be more affordable imo

It depends largely on the purchasing power of 1 million naira or less.

Tinubu that I know is worse than Buhari in every aspect so I expect 1 million to be worth less than 400k of today in few years to come if he continues to occupy the office of the president illegally on a stolen mandate.

Thank God for the judiciary, he will soon be sent packing.
Nigeria can never survive another disaster like Buhari.

It's very achievable if he's backed by gov.. on the long run, he'll make his doe but I'm not sure the gov is ready for us
Its not really feasible as setting up a new company is expensive and Nigerians already love second hand luxury goods ..
Questions like why buy a small car of 4 m while you can get a Benz SUV of 4m

Looking at the brighter side .. using cheap Nigerian labour plus steel . It's actually possible to make a car like that but it would cost at least 3 million a pop .
But then let's explore the limitations and possibilities.
.
1. Low perception amongst buyers .Nigerians typically would shame you for having the "popular cheap car " I doubt we would have that problem .I mean Keke is cheap .people still buy it .hijet is cheap and unreliable people still rush it .

2.machines that make the machines .stamping the metal components need serious machines and those don't come cheap ..a loan from BOA would solve it but then u need to pay it off .and that would reflect on the final cost of the car .however an already established car company can pull it off seamlessly

3 changing technology ..seriously ..slapping a giant screen in the car solves it ..the Tata nano became too outdated ..and simply that would have solved it
Car Talk / Re: Can Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing [IVM] Produce Cars Of 1million Or Less ?? by Antihelminth: 7:59pm On Jun 06, 2023
Now let's explore engine options ..
A new 1.0 litre engine cost Abit more than $2000 .of course you'd typically want to put a one litre engine in a smart car or pseudo smart car . Anyhow you wanna call it .Without a turbo charger of course. producing like 70 to 100hp at 2000rpm or 5000rpm is feasible .
But then that $2000 engine was produced by first world countries with first world minimum wage .and first world research and development .
That's why it's expensive . Replicating it would really cut the cost in half . 😎

The Chinese are good at that game of replicating "knock offs" .and they are usually good as original soooo

Now let's explore what actually made the TATA nano to fail
It failed due to
1.Quality and safety concerns, including fire incidents...

2.Perception as a "cheap" car affected desirability.

3.Marketing and brand image failed to position it as aspirational.

4.Limited features and performance, lacking convenience and comfort.

5.Production and distribution challenges, long waiting periods.

6.Changing consumer preferences towards feature-rich options.

In the history of cheap cars .. the Tata nano takes the lead with that experiment . It costs $1300 which is approx 1million naira .

Yes
What was the public's reception of the car ?
??
What where the set backs ??
Why was it not popular especially in the African market where cheap products are easily being sold ??

Thanks for this. I think this is what I will do. The bank will be able to give me between 6-15m based on my very good credit ratings.

I don't intend to use all to get a vehicle just a vehicle that can serve both for business and "Chilling" purpose then re-invest the rest into my business and be able to repay them back.

You should be straight forward with them sha

I recently checked auto-check and their condition was scary.
Initially N113k deposit
N56800 weekly delivery for the first two months
N45k weekly delivery for the remainder of the 4yrs
BVN collateral

And even with these, hrs restriction.
My question now is can somebody make it? And besides, it is a foreign-used 2005 Corolla
Initial deposit of 113,000
Plus 56,800 for first two months ..
We have 4 weeks in each month . That's 454,400
Plus initial deposit that's . 567,400
45k per week in 4 years .. 8.64000
Plus 454.400
Omo no way grin

You want to collect loan to buy a liability with the current economic instability in the country. When taxes and interest rates would skyrocket soon grin

Don't be a slave to banks oooo
I think purported interest rates are being calculated befor you collect the vehicle ..
You're not buying stocks that the value drops and rises .

Even your rich uncle in America bought his car through a finance scheme like that .
I do know we Nigerians naturally have it in us to discourage people but come on
