episode 8: a reconciliation pregnant with future pleasures
I found my way downstairs in record time, but had to pause to compose myself before going outside, it's not good to show her I'm desperate to see her. " see , I told you he is not sick" said mercy, "sick? who is sick?" I said

mercy was with toke, both wearing big jackets, I taught they were not wearing anything apart from those jackets until I saw that they were wearing mini skirts, the mini was shorter than the jackets they were wearing. There were lots of student outside all dressed in one flashy way or another. With the number of cars packed outside between the male and female hostel , I figured there was a rave tonight, no wonder some students went on rampage when my class rep said earlier that day that their is going to be a test 8am tomorrow morning. It was those kind of rave where only the first few cars know the venue, if the convoy leaves you or you lose the convoy as they speed Away, you might be driving all night looking for the venue.

Up till that moment, I was feeling very haughty, acting as if they came to beg me, in reality i was elated to have toke talking to me , looking very sexy in tube dress, i realised hers was not mini skirt like mercy's but a mini tube dress.

I apologised for my behavior and accused her of making things worse. she apologised and told me that ade had told them what really happened, when I asked what he told them,she said she will tell me later.

me: " I don't understand, I did not plan to go to the party in the first place"

toke: " this night I was planning to come see you, wanted you to go to the party with us, but David said no"

The way my blood started boiling it would have been able to power a thermal station. I did not show my true feeling , I just shrugged and acted as if it does not matter.
Before I could formulate any response, we heard mercy calling from after , indicating that they are about to leave, I saw David with her, toke indicated that she will soon be with them

toke: " I have to go before they leave me" (she was turning to leave)

me :" are you just going to leave like that" (she looked back at me)" no goodnight hug or kiss?"

She smiled and walked back to me , leaning upward to kiss me , I bent my head and our lips locked passionately, I don't think we both expected that kind of reaction, but before you know it her tongue was in my mouth. I decided to take it further, I slipped my hand under her dress ,between her legs. she stopped kissing me, looked at me with eyes that warned me that what im doing is not appropriate. Instead of heeding her warning , I pulled her closer with my other hands and kissed her again, few seconds later, I felt her grab my crotch, stroking me back. The shouting of mercy from afar brought us back to reality. she backed away.

episode 7: I see your true colours
I was outside the hostel before david could catch up, he started begging me not to tell any of the girls the truth.

I left for mercy and toke's room, they were not inside. I contemplated heading for uzoma's hostel, but I did not know why I did not. I think it's because I felt that telling uzoma the truth is like taking things too far. "Don't do anything when you are angry or too happy", I kept reminding myself, think things over. All I have to do is return the favour the same way David did his, I'll just tell mercy that it's not me that's blowing ekaite, is her her boyfriend. since she and her guy can be passing wrong info to my babe, I wonder how they will pass this one to her.

I was waiting outside for while, planning to check on the girls later when aDe came out. He saw me, saw my angry look and started laughing and making fun of me. well I could not reply him, knowing his status on campus.

After a while he said

ade: " which one be your main problem guy, david or toke?"

ade : "that one no be problem , I go help you solve that one, just leave David alone, he think say him smart, him go hear am, just wait and see what happens".

I thanked him, went to get something to eat and went to my room.

11Pm, I was about sleeping when a guy I don't know knock on my room door, he asked after me, when I saw him he handed me a note saying it was a girl that gave him. The note read

" can you come outside?. toke".

Episode 6: chain reaction
I slept blissfully that night, dreaming that me and my babe where doing stuffs, I did not know that my babe was also dreaming at that moment, she was dreaming about the best way to castrate me!.

I called her like three times between the time David told mercy about ekaite and the next week( I think it's like 5 days), on each occasion, she was not enthusiastic about jisting with me, I felt it was the cramps still disturbing her. This was how things were until Monday morning when I came back to campus.

The same thing happened on Tuesday, it was even worse. toke can love you completely, she is 100% loyal, she can do anything for her guy, but if you hurt her, she will hate or dislike you completely depending on the kind of relationship you had with her before you hurt her.

This thinking of mine made it worse on Wednesday as I expressed my frustration at her behavior, as expected, things did not go well, we started with angry words until it degenerated to nasty words. We said nasty things to each other to the extent that we both felt the relationship had ended.

I walked out of her room, after like an hour in my room, I decided to call mercy,I had planned to cut mercy off from details about me and toke, but at this moment, I think I needed her. She told me where she is, she was even close by. I went to meet her, and she too was cold to me.

mercy :" what are you talking about?"

me:" she is behaving somehow"

mercy:"you've started anti, how can you say someone is behaving somehow, don't you know what that means?, my friend has not gone loko o, in fact she is presently using her head"

I ignored her remarks and went into detail about what has been going on between I and toke for the past one week. It was after my whole explanation that she said :

mercy: (standing up, wanting to walk away angrilly)" if I've known you are like this, I would not have allowed toke to date you"

me: (also angry but holding her hands to prevent her from walking away)" see mercy, I'm anti, I know I do things sometimes that look stupid, but you know that, you also know that i wunt change because of you guys, if you feel my behavior is not good enough for you and toke, no problem, you can tell me to f**k off. But I'm still anti and will always be antispexish.

mercy: "I don't know what you are saying, but I know that what you are doing is not good, you just don't go about playING with someone's emotion like that, you boys are all the same"

me: (still shouting): " what the f**k are you saying"

mercy: (shouting back)" don't shout at me, you think your noise will not make me say the truth, guys like you are bad"

she removed her hands from mine and walked away, at that point i decided that my friendship with mercy and relationship with toke is over, it's not good to like girls too much.

Friday evening, ade was with toke outside our hostel when I walked by, since she was with a shuttle bag, I figured she was coming back from class. I greeted ade but me and toke acted as we did not know each other, later that night, as we were playing soccer, david was also in the room when ade asked me.

ade: "anti, you and toke no dey again?"

me:" Bro , na so we see am o, she just begin misbehave suddenly"

ade:" you suppose just tell her say no be you the girl find come na, I know say she for believe you"

Note, earlier when aDe saw that I did not talk to toke , he had asked her what happened and she had told him everything, another lesson learnt, your girlfriend wunt tell you everything, there are some things her friends will know and you will never know till the day you peme!

I waited for David to answer, my blood was boiling cus I'm was begining to realise what went Down. David did not say anything.

ade:" come, unpause this game my friend, if you no wan play again stand up" (he snatched my pad and unpaused the game and threw the pad back at me)"after you fit go tell them say no be you they carry ekaite come f**k for this room"

Instantly I was on my feet, the speed I used to stand up caused everone to look at me ." All this nonsense must stop this night, this girls must know what is going" I said as I stormed out of the room!

HOME NEWS $1.6B MALABU OIL DEAL: I ACTED ON JONATHAN’S INSTRUCTION, SAYS ADOKE
 

A former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN), yesterday faulted the charge of alleged involvement in a $1.6billion Malabu Oil deal against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He said although the charge was irrational, he was prepared to make himself available to defend it at the appropriate time.
He said he did not benefit in any way from the auctioning of Oil Prospecting Licence 245(OPL 245), popularly referred to as Malabu Oil Block.

Adoke, in a statement, said he got requisite approvals from the former President Goodluck Jonathan to broker the settlement and execute the OPL 245 Settlement Agreement.

The statement reads: “My attention has been drawn to the charges filed by the EFCC against me and other named individuals and companies in respect of OPL 245 Settlement Agreement involving Malabu Oil & Gas Limited and Shell Nigeria Ultra Deep Limited.
“The charge of aiding the commission of money laundering offences preferred against me has finally confirmed the orchestrated plans to bring me to public disrepute in order to satisfy the whims and caprices of some powerful interests on revenge mission.

“I wish to reiterate that I acted within the actual and ostensible authority of the office I occupied to broker a settlement between Malabu Oil & Gas Limited and Shell Nigeria Ultra Deep Limited in order to ward off the over $2billion liability in damages for breach of contract which the country would have been exposed to in the likely event of the success of Shell Nigeria Ultra Deep Limited’s claim before the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).

“The Terms of Settlement ensured that the interests of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Malabu Oil & Gas Limited and Shell Nigeria Ultra Deep Limited were duly acknowledged and provided for in the Settlement Agreement.

“The Federal Government of Nigeria was entitled to the Signature bonus which was duly paid; Malabu Oil & Gas Limited surrendered its title to OPL 245 for a consideration and Shell Nigeria Ultra Deep Limited was re-allocated OPL 245 which it had previously substantially de-risked in consideration for withdrawing their over US$ 2billion claim for breach of contract against the Federal Government of Nigeria.”

Adoke gave more insights into why the Jonathan administration executed the Settlement Agreement.
He added: “Since the Parties aforementioned, faithfully discharged their respective obligations under the Settlement Agreement, one cannot comprehend how the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation which brokered the Settlement was expected to renege from the agreement by denying Malabu Oil & Gas Limited the benefits associated with the relinquishing of their title to OPL 245 already warehoused in a joint FGN/Shell Escrow account, or to prevent the subsequent re-allocation of the relinquished OPL 245 to Shell Nigeria Ultra Deep Limited when the company had already furnished consideration for it to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

“I am of the respectful view that it should be clear to any person dispassionately reviewing the transaction to confirm that I had no personal interest in the transaction; I did not take any benefit from it, I had requisite approvals from the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to broker the settlement and execute the OPL 245 Settlement Agreement.

“I am therefore unable to rationalise the charge of aiding the commission of money laundering offences preferred against me by the EFCC. But be that as it may, I hope to at the appropriate time make myself available to defend the charges for what whatever its worth.”

episode 6: dragged back into the game

ghen ghen, the shit is about to start hitting the fan, I must see the end of this, I believe I'm already wearing my space suit to prevent any of this touching me, I've already tried to stay out of their case. but I feared that if mercy breaks up with David, it will indirectly affect my situation with toke, I don't like a disgruntled mercy giving toke advise about men. I planned to do something about their tight friendship and trust in each other before things that revealing itself.

The door was opened, and she entered, i quickly followed her in. As I entered the room, I noticed that the show(if there was any) had finished long time, mercy wad dressed up(if she had even been undressed), combed her hair(if it had even been uncombed by David's hands) and was sitting on the bed.
I noticed that ekaite took in the whole scenario with her eyes, which girl will not want to figure out what her boyfriend or so called boy friend is doing in the room alone with another girl.

To act as if I'm not interested in the unfolding scenario, I decided to switch on the TV and ps2.

Luckily, it was crash badicoot that loaded, so we started playing, at this moment, mercy did not know who ekaite is, nor the reason she was in the room.

After several races, David joined, he also asked ekaite if she will play, she ask how do they play it and he said he will teach her. I know David was using a tactic boys use when two of their girfriends meet at the same place.

Boys sorry, but girls should know this, when you meet your boyfriend and you notice their is a girl in the group or sitting close to him, and he is relating to everyone in general tone, he is involving everyone close by in the discussion and trying to get everyone talking. He is using a tactic guys use to prevent getting caught or trapped, he will continue in that manner u till both girls are seperated

As long as their are no personal discussions , their is a probability you will not know that the girl in the group is also his girlfriend, worse worse, they are just friends. His friends(who know the story) will catch up to this move and encourage it, some friends might even make you feel that the girl is with them and not your boyfriend. Please don't feel bad about it, if such occurs, it shows you are very important, you are probably the number one on the guys list, but you are not the only one on the list.

Back to story, I made sure I helped David out, keeping the 4 way conversation as general as possible, if mercy had not concentrated on the game too much, she probably would have noticed that there was no direct discussion between me and ekaite.

The game helped too, no way would you play crash badicoot without shouting at each other "no use am o" one person will shout, "use am " another will say. Most of the commands where directed at ekaite who kept using her weapons the moment she gets it, not minding how it affects the three of us who were far far ahead of her.

Boys started coming in, and insisted on playing, mercy said she was going and David offered to excort her, "you are supposed to excort me before na" she said, looking confused.

David came back later into the room and started doing naughty things with ekaite, thier legs where interlocked and both did not mind that their where other boys in the room,
they later left anyway and aDe later remarked " it's either that guys catches something or he dies of exhaustion".

The next day I got the shock om my life, mercy had asked David if the girl that came to the room came with me, since she saw both of us coming inside the room almost at the same time. David had said yes. mercy concluded that I'm double dating and she told toke that night.

episode 5: talking about important things
Have you ever felt relieved before?, not the normal kind of relief where you just let out a deep breathe o, Im talking about the kind of relief you get when correct shit hold you for CMS bustop, but you managed to make it to your toilet in your house at abule egba, hope you know that feeling that encompasses you when you finally sit in your toilet and let it all out.
For those who don't live in lagos, I talking about the kind of relief you get when two soldiers with koboko are hell bent on showing you the gates of hell but one senior military officer shows up as they where about to start and tells them to leave you alone.

Every part of my body heaved a sigh of relief,like I jumped into swimming in hot sun, i just gentled and felt happy. I smiled and held toke's waist, I was sitting on her bed while she was standing in front of me. She must have misunderstood my actions, my facial expressions and my posture, she taught I wanted to pet her, to console her about the pain she is going through, so she just smiled and sat on my leg.
We were both smiling and whispering into each others ears.

toke: " don't worry, it's just for a few days"

me: "I know, is it very painful?"

toke: "not really, it's just uncomfortable"

We parted, she had some few things to do, so I left for my hostel , I decided to see if David was through with mercy, so I can play ps2, as I turned the corner to their hall I saw ekaite knocking on their door.

episode 4: thoughts that confuse

I knew thunder had just struck close to me, though I did not hear any sound or felt anything, I just knew lightning had hit the ground close by, how else will I just be seeing white all of a sudden. as usual ,my heart had stopped beating.

me: " mercy say toke no see her period?"(I asked to confirm)

As he climbed the staircase leading to his room, he warned me to solve the problem fast, that if we wait too long, we would not be able to do anything about it. I believed that is true cus toke is the last born and only daughter.

I did not sleep that night, I just sat on the bed with by back to the wall, thinking about the future, my roomates who woke up during the night kept asking me what is wrong, "nothing" was my reply whenever they asked.

I tried to sleep, but as I close my eyes it's one nightmare after another, from dreaming about toke's father flogging me with iron rod, to my parents disowning me. The one that took sleep away finally is the one where toke's father was pursuing me with a gun(she had told me her father has a double barrel), as he was about to shoot , I shouted, the shout left my dream, entered my lungs and came out of my mouth in real life.

The "yeeeee" woke every one up at same time, one guy, who was the one that slept beside me and whose ears where close to my mouth when I shouted, and who was also at the farthest end of the room just jumped up and ran for the door, jumping over everybody, shouting "yee,yee", another followed him, the chain reaction started. Three more boys ran after the first two, two others, not knowing what was happening but still want to be on the safe side, just walked outside. It was when they where halfway Down the hall that they realised nothing was pursuing them, it was then they started asking each other stupid questions " what's wrong?", "why you run?", wetin happen?"

Since no one was able to give a satisfying answer why they all ran, they decided to start lyingc to themselfs before they look like fools, "I think I saw a snake enter through the window" said the guy who started the mumu race, they believed him anyway , cus even after checking the room and seeing no snake, some brought out there bible and started praying , casting out any demon that tried to enter the room.

It was amusing watching them do the things they did, but I was not in the mood for laughter, by the time the whole thing died down, it was morning already, so instead of sleeping, we all went downstairs to join the queue to fetch water.

I went to class feeling miserable, I needed to know the truth, I was perturbed that toke will be going through something like that and still felt free to kiss me yesterday, or was she trying to make me feel calm before she tells me the life changing news?

by evening I was at the edge, the border between calmness and madness, I was almost going bunkers.

David as usual has told boys in the room, some joked about it, some made reasonable suggestions, while some kept quiet. I knew I was not not in control of my self when I was beaten 4-0 when I played soccer on play station.

8pm, I decided to find out how long she has been pregnant, probably their is still something that can be done. I got to her room and met mercy, she was about leaving for David's room, "so it's mercy that David was booking for room for earlier" I thought.

mercy: " she has gone out , but she will soon be back, she told me that if you come, you should wait for her"

mercy left while I sat on toke's bed, toke came back after a while, she did not see me immediately. As she was walking to her space, I heard her telling one of her roomates "i've brought the drugs, I hope it works o".

Haa, has this girl decided to take matters into her hands, I saw the drugs in her hands, but the moment she saw me, she tried to hide it.

me: " what's the drugs for"

toke: " what's your own, it's women matter"

me: " you know I'm involved in this, I need to know what you are doing"

toke: (laughing)" what im i doing ke, this drug is for girls issues, you don't know what the drug is for and you are saying you are involved, well you are involved in a way sha"

me: " see, you should have told me before you make such decision"

toke: " so I should inform you before I go and and buy drugs to suppress my cramps"

me: " cramps, what cramps?"

toke: (she roled her eyes) " menstrual cramps"

me: (frowning)" are you saying you are on your period"

toke: " yes, it started yesterday night and I don't like the pains"

unfortunately, I just used DLI cus I know the place, the school is not UNILAG, in this true and false story, locations are fictitious, no further comment on the location of the school.

episode 3: the unexpected news
I'm I going to see another fight I thought, uzoma busted that thought sharp sharp as she saw ekaite coming.

uzoma: "I have to go inside , see you later"

me: "haHan, wetin happen , why you just decide to go like that"

uzoma:" you wunt understand, I'll see you later dear"(she started walking away).

"dear ke", did she just say "dear" to me as I thought while also turning to leave, what is she up to. ekaite walked past me and she once again did not acknowledge my presence, no problem, ya shakara go soon end, i said to myself.

I later learnt the reason why uzoma left me the moment she saw ekaite coming, both of them where trying to play the victim game. You know how women act na, they can fight vigorously, with full venom, but when it's time to table the matter, to tell what really happened, it's then you will see tears in their eyes as if the other party had done great injustice to them. Since most of the girls in the hostel had not seen either ekaite or uzoma since the fight, uzoma had used the opportunity to play victim will she arranges how she will destroy ekaite litterarily.

I got back to my hostel and was told mercy and toke are back in school , I Called toke and I went to meet them where they are. toke was sitting alone while mercy was with David, both of them where smiling and looking into each others eyes.
"See this bastaRd" I thought, "you dey here dey do lover boy while there are two other girls in bandages planning how to destroy each other over you".

We greeted and left the spot, the girls where hungry and it had been decided that it's chicken and chips tonight. We had to walk far, almost opposite another female hostel, the girls do not mind the walk, it's another opportunity to be with their boyfriends.
Like always , toke talked and I listened , adding my own words every few minutes, her dad is alright, things are cool and my mind is already calculating how I will fix the last embarrassing situation, I don't want her to term me a "two minutes " man.

We got the food, came back to our hostel area and ate it outside together, since we were in a dark area outside the hostel, the girls did not stop us from some little touching and kissing. After a while , we parted, as we went into our hostel, I accused David of playing a dangerous game with mercy and uzoma, I did not mention ekaite.

me: " wetin you dey do no good o"

david:" guy leave my matter, I go solve am, na your own be the koko now"

me" me? , I no get any problem na"

david: "she no tell you?"

me: " who?"

episode 2: the truth revealed

"wetin do you" I asked her, "wetin concern you" she replied.

me:" okay o, I go just tell everybody say dem beat you for school"

uzoma: "who be everybody wey you wan tell"

me :" everybody, both school and house"

As she heard "house", she became alarmed and warned me to stop playing.
me: " who really beat you"

uzoma: "nobody"

me:" so where all this come from,(indicating the bandage and plaster on her face and arm) you done go dey form superwoman again abi and them don show you pepper"

She moved towards me menacingly, ready to unleash one of her numerous warnings supported by deadly threats, but I was not perturbed, in fact as she stood in front of me, trying to frighting me, my eyes where locked on her cleavage, she took notice but did not talk about it.

uzoma: " anti-gbeborun, wetin concern you for my matter"

me :" uzoma, I've known you since when you where still wearing super ted and wonder woman pant while playing in the rain" (she laughed, she knew it was true, she did really wear those pants that had the pictures of those famous cartoon figures painted in front of it)." so you think school could change the fact that we have known each other for a long time, if you don't want me to know, no problem"

uzoma: (relaxed a bit now)" anti, seriously, nobody beat me, this na just for show"

me: " I know say you fight recently o"

uzoma: " how you take know?"

With lies laced with truth, or is it truth laced with lies, plus some little manipulations, I was able to get the truth out of her. She admitted she had a fight, but she was not injured, she told me the bandages did not come from the fight. she inflicted herself with the injury. Imagine!, uzoma broke bottle and stabbed herself, several times in the hand, she even used the bottle to hit herself on the head several times before going to medical center to get treated.

Why did she do that?, she did it because ekaite was badly injured by her in the one way fight, in her rage she had picked up a bamboo plank and wacked her everywhere till she fainted. she felt that If she reported her injuries too, it will be either be "two fighting" or she can argue that she was attacked first and she defended herself. She felt the school authorities might be involved cus she heard that ekaite was taken to the medical center blodied, so she injured herself and went to the medical centre too the next morning.

where did they fight? beside the hostel, one dark area that people used as shortcut when going to the school gate area. only few people who do not know they were saw the fight.

why did they fight? she discovered that David was banging ekaite, though later details revealed that it was ekaite that was banging David. Everything was now clear to me, David is banging mercy, uzoma and her roomate ekaite at same time. No wonder ade said him sef no fit try wetin David dey do.

finally uzoma said "if I catch David, I'm going to break his balls" , I smiled as I said in my mind "how I which you could really carry that out, I'll be so happy!"

we were still talking when we saw ekaite coming towards the hostel, also with bandage and plasterling in her head and arms, women!

Episode 1: In search of the truth
Ekaite heard me call her name, her face, though battered, was still able to register her hauthiness, she surely did not want me to see her in that state and despite what happened to her, she still feel I'm below her.

She and David walked some distance away to talk, "na bodyguard I come do for hear" , I asked my self, if im not needed, why I'm I staying. So while they where talking to each other, I decided to walk away. I realised later that David just wanted backup in case she was attacked again, if she was really attacked again while I was there, he would have seen how bad a backup I can be.

I went back to the hostel and went to meet ade who was also just coming back in.
me:" guy, wetin happen to ekaite"

ade: " you sabi the girl?"

me: " I don sabi am since 100 level, she be uzoma bedmate"

ade's eyes opened wide, then he started laughing
ade:" this David na bastard, he be real bastard, even me sef no fit do that kain thing"

me" tell me wetin happen na?"

ade: " no worry anti, how the girl sef"

I described the condition of ekaite and ade said "nkan ti bobo yI ra owo Le yi" (what this guy is putting his hands into). Ade refused to tell me anything further, but I got to know details later.

Some days later, I went to my female coursemates room, the one that stays in the same hostel with uzoma. I gave her the assignment, also sat to eat rice and stew, I love rice and stew, most rice one gets to eat in school is always concoction or jollo rice ( the "f" has been removed from "jollof" cus the ingredients are always incomplete). After eating, we gisted for a while about school life and relationships. Our jiSt now went to what she told me about ekaite.

me: " have you seen her recently?"(trying to know her present condition)

coursemate: "I've not seen her o, Ive not seen her since their was a scuffle in her room"

me: " scuffle?, you ,mean fight?"

coursemate: " scuffle, one night like that, she and one of her roomates where shouting at each other and wanted to fight. I saw her leaving the hostel and I ve not seen her since, but you tell me say you no know her na!"

me: " I don't really know her, Im just curious cus you said she is dating my friend"

coursemate: " I've seen your friend with her many times, I even saw them smooching one night in hellfire when I went to read in class."

Everything is falling into place, I'm beginning to realise what happened in full. Well, the whole truth was confirmed from uzoma herself, as I left the hostel , I saw her coming in , she had a bandage on her head too.

I work from morning till night, and I have a boss who knows how to use his workers, even when they are at home.
