Christianity EtcRe: Did David Really Killed Lions And Bears? These Animals Arent In Israel! by antispexish(m): 2:18pm On Aug 14, 2016
lionness:
I was in church today and was verse of the Bible was quoted by my pastor: 1 Samuel 17:36 ► "Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine (Goliath) shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.”

This statement bothered me because I did my masters in the UK in Zoology, and distinctly remembered learning that Lions are mainly found in Africa, and a tiny species in only India. The rest are found in zoos. Now could a lion be in Israel? And then, the word "Bears" also confused me. There are different types of bears in Asia, and I learn years ago that they are called Asian black bears, and they are only found in a different topography of Asia, and never in the Middle East, and the Asian Black Bears only feed on fruits, grasses, and insects, and could have never been a treat to David sheep. And these bears are only found in China, Bangladesh, and Russia, and they are the size of Pandas.

I dont often question the teachings of the Bible, but this gross discrepancy got me confused. And please dont tell me I dont have faith, my entire families are Christian, and my own father was the pastor who quoted this verse this morning while preaching in his church. I need an explanation.
masters in zoology, look at this page.
"The wildlife of Israel includes the flora and fauna of Israel , which is extremely diverse due to the country's location between the temperate and the tropical zones , bordering the Mediterranean Sea in the west and the desert in the east. Species such as the Syrian brown bear and the Arabian ostrich have become extinct in Israel due to hunting and loss of habitat . As of May 2007, 190 nature reserves have been established in Israel.

" The Land of Israel once contained a variety of mammals, however in recent times many mammals such as the European water vole, the cheetah and the Caucasian squirrel [b]went locally extinct. In the modern age many mammal populations such as the Arabian leopard and the sand cat are in a high risk of extinction. In total there are 57 species of mammals which are endangered (as of 2002)"

"Various animal species have become extinct due to unchecked hunting under Ottoman rule and to a lesser extent under British Mandate rule, due to a non-enforcement of hunting laws. By the beginning of the 20th century, the white oryx , the Syrian brown bear, the Asiatic lions , the Asiatic cheetah , and the Nile crocodile became extinct in the region. Modern hunting laws prohibit all hunting of mammals, birds, reptiles and
amphibians , except those considered pests and specific animals in hunting seasons. However the packs of feral dogs that are taking over the countryside are an increasing threat to wildlife and domesticated animals. [6]

deut 14 :22-27(tithing and alcohol for the isrealites)
22 “You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year. 23 Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the LORD your God.
24 “Now when the LORD your God blesses you with a good harvest, the place of worship he chooses for his name to be honored might be too far for you to bring the tithe. 25 If so, you may sell the tithe portion of your crops and herds, put the money in a pouch, and go to the place the LORD your God has chosen. 26 When you arrive, you may use the money to buy any kind of food you want—cattle, sheep, goats, wine, or other alcoholic drink. Then feast there in the presence of the LORD your God and celebrate with your household. 27 And do not neglect the Levites in your town, for they will receive no allotment of land among you.

Despite the recent 68 per cent hike in petrol price, Nigeria’s retail pump price of N145 per litre of petrol ranks among the lowest in the world.

A review of retail prices of petrol in 175 countries shows that Nigeria has the 13th least petrol price at approximately $0.50, or N145 per litre, according to GlobalPetrolPrices.com.

Kuwait has the lowest petrol price in the world, at $0.21 or N61.37 per litre.
The world’s costliest petrol prices are found in Hong Kong (N535.38 per litre), Norway (N490.19) and Iceland (N474.76).

Most countries with the lowest petrol prices belong to the 14-member Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), namely Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Qatar, Iran, Ecuador, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Indonesia, Venezuela, Iraq, Libya, Gabon and Angola.

But when it comes to the price of fuel, Nigeria’s standing is not so impressive in OPEC and Africa.
Of 14 OPEC countries reviewed, Nigeria has the sixth most expensive rate.

Also, despite Nigeria’s reputation as Africa’s biggest producer of hydrocarbons, petrol is cheaper in Algeria than in Nigeria.
Petrol sells for $0.28, or N80.94 per litre, in that North African country.
In Africa generally, the fuel sells for the highest rate in Zimbabwe, at N371.70 per litre.

Nigeria’s latest fuel price raise in May 2016 was as usual met with resistance from the organized labour. Eventually, the government prevailed.

Many Nigerians argue that as a top producer of oil and gas, Nigeria has no business selling petrol to his citizens at exorbitant rates.

The government says its fuel subsidy programme that drove the price down had been abused and was fueling massive corruption.

Part of the corruption sees marketers and dealers smuggling subsidized fuel into nearby countries where they sell at higher prices.

Data from GlobalPetrolPrices.com shows that all the countries bordering Nigeria, particularly in the Economic Community of West Africsn States (ECOWAS), have some of the highest fuel prices.

Some of Nigeria’s neighbours include Cameroun, where petrol is sold at N308.77 per litre; Burkina Faso (N354.51), Gambia (N347.84), Senegal (N336.40), Mali (N328.17), Guinea (N280.89), Ivory Coast (N275.89), Ghana (N260.90), Niger (N255.80), Liberia (N240.17), Togo (N218.78), Chad (N219.71), and Sierra Leone (N191.28).

Foreign AffairsNews From Other Oil Rich Countries 2: Angola by antispexish(op): 10:43am On Aug 03, 2016
An oil boom made it the most expensive city in the world. Now it’s in crisis.
LUANDA, Angola — As the price of oil rose earlier this decade , this capital city did as well . Glass skyscrapers soared above the rubble of a 27 - year civil war . American pop stars such as Mariah Carey were flown in to play private concerts. Luanda would become , its government announced, “ a new Dubai .”

But as oil prices have crashed , the impact on one of Africa’ s richest and most unequal countries has been devastating . The same officials who boasted of Luanda’s sparkling ascent are asking for billions of dollars in loans . Thousands of people are
dying of preventable illnesses , and the nation ’ s hospitals are out of medicine. A bag of rice can now cost five times what it did a year ago.

On a continent where natural resources have driven generations of boom and bust , Angola has a remarkable and frightening distinction . It is more dependent on commodity exports than just about any other nation in sub - Saharan Africa . It is now paying for that reliance in tragic ways .

This isn ’t the only country suffering since the price of oil fell from more than $ 100 per barrel in 2014 to less than $ 30 last year , reaching roughly $ 40 recently . Venezuela is also struggling with shortages of food. Nigeria has been rocked by its biggest economic crisis in decades . But Angola ’s descent has been largely hidden from the world, since visas are rarely granted to journalists.

About 45 percent of Angola ’s gross domestic product comes from the oil and gas sector , compared with 25 percent in Venezuela and 35 percent in Nigeria , according to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.

At Luanda’ s Cajueiros Hospital , the oil crisis has morphed into a health emergency. The hospital , like most in Angola , has run out of needles , surgical gloves and almost all medication. The only way patients get treatment is if they or their relatives buy those items on the black market . Most Angolans can ’t afford them . In recent weeks, there were no HIV tests or tuberculosis vaccines available anywhere , according to Angolan and international health workers .

After the government slashed its budget by 53 percent last year , the country did not purchase a single dose of malaria medication . In the first three months of 2016 , Angola had roughly 1 .3 million cases of the disease. At least 3 , 000 people have died , according to the World Health Organization .

“ Now , when you go to any ministry and ask for something , the answer is the same: ‘ We don ’t have the money , ’ ” said Francisco Songne , the top UNICEF representative in Angola .

The economic crisis alone doesn’ t explain the country ’ s alarming public - health mess . Angola ’ s government has long been riddled with corruption and plagued by mismanagement . The country has the world’ s highest child mortality rate , with 1 in 6 children dying before age 5 , according to UNICEF officials .

Thanks to soaring oil prices and production , the country ’s economy grew at an astonishing average of 17 percent per year from 2004 to 2008 . By 2014 , Angola had the third - highest GDP in sub - Saharan Africa, after Nigeria and South Africa. But wealth became increasingly concentrated in the hands of a few , mostly people close to the political elite .

Even when the economic downturn occurred, that elite was spending lavishly . In December , one of the country ’ s largest mobile - phone companies , Unitel , paid American rapper Nicki Minaj a reported $ 2 million to perform in Luanda . Unitel ’s chief executive at the time was Isabel dos Santos , daughter of the Angolan president , José Eduardo dos Santos, who has been in office since 1979 . In June, Isabel dos Santos — Africa ’s first female billionaire — was appointed head of the state oil company .

On a recent day, Christina Da Silva waited outside Cajueiros Hospital to deliver surgical gloves , needles and medicine for her husband , who had contracted malaria . She and her relatives had managed to pool enough money to pay for the $ 10 pills , an almost impossible price in a country where half of workers earn less than $ 2 a day . Before the crisis , the medication was free in public hospitals .

“ You borrow from your family. You borrow from your friends . You get the money however you can , ” Da Silva said . “ If you don ’t get it, he dies . ”
The country ’ s few outspoken activists and independent journalists have long protested the stark inequalities in this oil -rich nation . How, they asked , could Luanda have a bustling Porsche dealership and apartments renting at $ 20 ,000 per month , and such a vast population of poor people?

Now , those same activists face a frightening question : What will it look like if things get worse ?
“ Even during the war , we didn’ t have this many people dying , ” said Rafael Marques de Morais, a critic of the government and the founder of Maka Angola , a watchdog organization, referring to the conflict that ended in 2002 .

The crash in oil prices has led to a rapid fall in the flow of U .S . dollars into Angola and a sharp decline in the value of the local currency , the kwanza . That means soaring prices in a country where many basic goods are imported .

It ’ s not just goods that are imported. Because Angola lacks professionals , it has for years brought in foreign engineers , doctors and teachers to work here. Now it is scrambling to pay them . Last year , hundreds of Cuban doctors threatened to leave the country because they had not been paid in months . The salary dispute was largely resolved , Cuba ’s ambassador to Angola told Luanda ’s Opais newspaper .
For years , Angola has been one of the world’ s most expensive countries for expatriates , as oil swelled the value of the currency . Their lifestyles became the stuff of lore — like the story of a Frenchman who paid $ 100 for a melon at a store and later unsuccessfully sued the seller for profiteering. But for locals earning kwanza , it has never been harder to afford food or medicine, with a devalued currency and slashed welfare programs . Their living conditions have deteriorated in sometimes deadly ways .

One jarring example is an outbreak of yellow fever , the world’s largest in decades . The epidemic has been blamed in part on the government ’ s refusal to pay for garbage collection in some parts of Luanda because of its shrunken budget . The trash, along with pools of rainwater , attracted swarms of mosquitoes , which carry the deadly disease. So far, there have been more than 3 ,000 suspected cases and about 350 deaths .
“ This was entirely preventable , ” said UNICEF’ s Songne .

Angola ’s 15 - year economic boom has made it more difficult for the country to receive international aid ; it is now classified by the World Bank as an “ upper middle income” country .

“ Humanitarian agencies cut their development budget under the assumption that Angola is a middle - income country that can deliver public services ,” said Alex Vines , the Africa director at Chatham House, a British think tank. “ But the country doesn’t care about the poor in that way .”

Before the economic crisis, Angola ’s government had laid out plans for diversification , setting up a sovereign wealth fund, or a state - owned investment fund. That fund, with a $ 5 billion endowment and managed by the president’ s son, José Filomeno dos Santos, had begun investing in hotels, infrastructure , health care and mining across Africa.
Dos Santos , in an interview , emphasized the fund’ s role in helping to “ shift focus from the extractive industry and to invest in other sectors that could make the domestic economy more sustainable .”

In June, the International Monetary Fund extended a $ 4 .5 billion loan to the Angolan government to help it deal with revenue losses from the oil sector . That loan is contingent on “ fiscal reform ” — which could mean more transparency and accountability in notoriously corrupt state enterprises .

“ We haven ’t seen this sustained oil - price decrease for some time, ” said Cobus de Hart , a senior economist at NKC African Economics , a South Africa- based research firm. “ That’s what is making it so much more challenging this time — this is a country that failed to diversify its economy , and now it is suffering. ”

From ABX website. Yoruba muslims will still doubt.
http://www.abxworld.com/2016/05/the-first-vegetables-exported-to-europe/
from the website: " History was made in Nigeria on January 21st, 2016. The first vegetables from Anambra State was exported to Europe on abx world agro-allied program. Thanks for the massive cooperation and support by the Governor, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano"

hope you noticed the words "first" and January 21th.

from Obiano's explanation : "In factual terms, the fatuous charge against Obiano is drawn from the following paragraph in his Report Card -
Anambra has assumed a prominent position in Nigeria’s Agricultural map. Precisely, in January this year, Anambra made headlines when it became the first state in Nigeria to export vegetables (Ugu and Onugbu) valued at $5m to Europe."

hope you see the words "January" and "$5m"

still on Obiano's words: I find it bemusing that, in contrast to the repeated use of the word “investigation” in the report, Sahara Reporters failed to do any investigation or even thoroughly read Obiano’s comments for a more enlightened analysis. The governor’s choice of the words “valued at” simply indicates that the sum of $5m is the estimated utility or merit of the Ugu and Onugbu (not tomatoes as claimed by the report) that Anambra has exported to Europe (not South Africa as again claimed by the report). And by the way, the fact is that Ugu and Onugbu were exported to Europe over a considerable period of time with an estimated value that is far in excess of $5m. There are no questions about this. The entire Export Business is done in partnership with ABX World Inc. a logistics firm with years of experience in the business whose team of experts can be approached by any investigative journalist for inquiries.

can you see the adjustment , it's no longer January 21th, but a considerable period of time(a period not indicated, and probably never will)

they should have consulted lie mohamed before releasing the first lie.
Their inability to support their statements with evidence even after accusation had been layed add more to the belief that something Is wrong somewhere!
you now want Sahara to ask ABX so you can do a fayose on them abi!

A new decree by Venezuela's government could make its citizens work on farms to tackle the country's severe food shortages.
That "effectively amounts to forced labor," according to Amnesty International, which derided the decree as "unlawful."

In a vaguely-worded decree, Venezuelan officials indicated that public and private sector employees could be forced to work in the country's fields for at least 60-day periods, which may be extended "if circumstances merit."

"Trying to tackle Venezuela's severe food shortages by forcing people to work the fields is like trying to fix a broken leg with a band aid," Erika Guevara Rosas, Americas' Director at Amnesty International, said in a statement .

President Nicolas Maduro is using his executive powers to declare a state of economic emergency. By using a decree, he can legally circumvent Venezuela's opposition-led National Assembly -- the Congress -- which is staunchly against all of Maduro's actions.
According to the decree from July 22, workers would still be paid their normal salary by the government and they can't be fired from their actual job.

Related: Hungry Venezuelans cry at sight of food in Colombia
It is a potent sign of tough conditions in Venezuela, which is grappling with the lack of basic food items like milk, eggs and bread. People wait hours in lines outsides supermarkets to buy groceries and often only see empty shelves.

Venezuela once had a robust agricultural sector. But under its socialist regime, which began with Hugo Chavez in 1999, the oil-rich country started importing more food and invested less in agriculture. Nearly all of Venezuela's revenue from exports comes from oil.

With oil prices down to about $41 a barrel from over $100 about two years ago,
Venezuela has quickly run out of cash and can't pay for its imports of food, toilet paper and other necessities. Neglected farms are now being asked to pick up the slack.
Maduro's actions are very similar to a strategy the communist Cuban government used in the 1960s when it sought to recover sugar production after it declined sharply following the U.S. embargo on Cuban goods. It forced Cubans to work on sugar farms to cultivate the island's key commodity.

Related: McDonalds forced to halt sales of Big Mac in Venezuela
It's important to note that Maduro has issued decrees before and they often just languish. In January, his government published a decree that put in place mechanisms to restrict the access and movements to the money in the accounts. In other words, a kind of bank freeze. However, that hasn't happened yet.

The National Assembly is expected to discuss the decree on Tuesday. But it would largely be symbolic: under Venezuelan law, the Assembly can't strike down a decree.
This latest action by Maduro may also be a sign that at least one other leader may be calling the shots on this issue. Earlier in July, Maduro appointed one of the country's defense ministers, Vladimir Padrino, as the leader of a team that would control the country's food supply and distribution.

Related: Venezuela's health care crisis
It's powerful role, especially at a time of such scarcity in Venezuela.
"The power handed to Padrino in this program is extraordinary, in our view, and may signal that President Maduro is trying to increase support from the military amid a deepening social and economic crisis," Sebastian Rondeau, an economist at Bank of America, wrote in a research note.
Venezuela is the world's worst economy, according to the IMF. It's expected to shrink 10% this year and inflation is projected to rise over 700%. Beyond food shortages,
hospitals are low on supplies , causing many patients to go untreated and some to die.
The country's electoral authorities are still reviewing the petition, which Maduro strongly opposes.

Obviously the family had given up on the poor girl before money came and they started last minute effort to take her abroad. Both ladies avoided answering to the accusations that they wanted a part of the donations and wanted to 'accompany' Mayowa abroad. NGOs pay bills, run offices and pay staff; the money has to come from somewhere. The entire thing is just an elaborate misunderstanding that could have been better handled.
I watched some YouTube videos about the whole story. I believe the whole story is just one big misunderstanding based on ego, lack of understanding of the process and presence of gbeborun(gossip mongers).

I do not think the family was trying to scam Nigerian's, but I feel they did not tell Nigeria n's the whole truth about their plans.
you can't use that to blame them anyway cus their initial wrong moves could have been affected by lack of funds and bad advice (especially from Nigerian doctors).

I also don't think toyin did something wrong, she also has to maintain the means by which she helped them raise the money na, why did the family now want to push her away when the money is complete.

Linda is a gbeborun, a certified ameBo(don't look at it as a bad thing o), so don't blame her too!

I wish they would have handled it better, if the doctor says it's terminal, it does not stop the family from still trying to save her life( if that's what they are trying to do), but they must be truthfull about it when going public, Nigerian's are very serious about trust and money issues.
PoliticsN4.7bn Fraud: I Transported Poll Funds For Obanikoro, Says Ex-aide by antispexish(op): 2:06am On Jul 29, 2016
An officer of the Nigerian Navy, Lt.-Cdr Olumide Adewale, has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission that he helped his former boss, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, to transport money, which was flown to Akure and later handed over to Abiodun Agbele on the instructions of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State.

Adewale, who was the Aide-de-Camp to Obanikoro when the latter was the Minister of State for Defence, said this on Wednesday when he was grilled by detectives of the EFCC.
According to the anti-graft agency, the money was part of the N4.7bn that was paid into Obanikoro’s sons’ company account, Sylvan McNamara, on the instructions of the embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.).

Adewale, who was in charge of Obanikoro’s security for about a year, told the EFCC that everything he did was under the strict instructions of his boss.

He told investigators that on June 16, 2014, barely a week to the Ekiti State governorship election, he, alongside Obanikoro, departed the ex-minister’s Park View home in Ikoyi, Lagos, and headed for the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

The naval officer told detectives that on getting to the airport, he met Obanikoro’s son, Gbolahan. He said Gbolahan and the former minister had a brief meeting after which a bullion van arrived at the private wing of the airport.

Adewale told the EFCC operatives that Gbolahan then directed some men at the airport to offload the money from the bullion van and load it unto the aircraft.
The entire activity was said to have been captured on CCTV.

A detective of the anti-graft agency quoted Adewale as saying, “The flight was delayed for about an hour. Later, a bullion van pulled into the hangar where the chartered flight was. Shortly after, Gbolahan ensured that some bags were offloaded unto the plane. I later boarded the flight with Obanikoro and his friend, Dr. Tunde Oshinowo (a PDP chieftain and a mutual friend of Obanikoro and Fayose).”

The EFCC detectives told one of our correspondents that on getting to the Akure airport, Obanikoro was welcomed by Mr. Abiodun Agbele, Fayose’s ally, who had since been arrested by the commission.

Adewale confirmed that Obanikoro was welcomed at the airport by a politician.
He told investigators that he did not know the name of the person but could recognise the person.

The naval man was further quoted as saying, “On arrival at Akure, the minister had a discussion with political friends. A bullion van was driven to the tarmac. The bags were offloaded unto the bullion van and the minister directed that we escort the van to a Zenith Bank branch in Akure.

“On arrival, the bags were offloaded by bank workers under the supervision of a civilian who had come to meet the minister at the Akure airport. I don’t know the man facially but I can recognise him.”

Meanwhile, Fayose has said the EFCC is on a wild goose chase in Ekiti State.
The governor stated that the anti-corruption commission had shifted attention to the finances of Ekiti State after what he claimed to be the failure of the commission to link him with the diversion of arms funds at the NSA’s office under Dasuki.

Fayose, who spoke on Orange FM station in Akure, Ondo State, on Thursday, said the EFCC had started harassing banks in Ekiti State, seeking for records of government finances, on allegations that the contractors gave him (governor) kickbacks.

“They are on vendetta mission. They said I collected money from Dasuki and I have told them that I did not collect a dime from Dasuki. I have N300m in my fixed deposit account in Zenith Bank and I declared it in my Asset Declaration Form.

“I have challenged them to publish the statement made to the EFCC by Dasuki where he said he gave Senator Musiliu Obanikoro money to give me or where Obanikoro himself said he gave me money.’’

Fayose called for proper restructuring of the country in line with the report of the 2014 National Conference.

“Nigeria has not been properly structured and that’s why we are facing all these problems. Remember it was those in power now that clamoured for restructuring when they were in opposition. Now that they have the federal powers and they are using the powers to oppress the people, they are against the restructuring of Nigeria,” he said.

PoliticsOperation Awatse: Military Bombs Militants In Fatola. Scores Feared Dead by antispexish(op): 1:53am On Jul 29, 2016
There was pandemonium on Thursday in the Arepo area of Ogun State and some part of Lagos State after the military bombarded the base of suspected militants in the states.

The PUNCH learnt that scores of militants were reportedly killed in the joint military operation which lasted for more than one hour.

A source said the military attacked Fatola, the base of the militants, adding that houses around the area were shaken by the impact of bomb explosions on the Ijaw militants.

He said, “There has been a lot of commotion. The Nigerian Air Force bombarded Fatola, in Arepo, which is the base of the militants. They are shelling the place with fighter jets. Some soldiers also surrounded the area to make sure that if any of the militants should run out, they would be gunned down.”

A resident said people in the area had started fleeing their homes due to the bombardment.

Another resident in the Imushin area of Ogun State told our correspondent that two aircrafts were involved in the operation, adding that only one base of the militants was attacked.

He said, “An aircraft had actually been surveying the creek for the past three days. But a second one joined this evening around 6pm. All we heard was a sudden bomb blast released from the second aircraft. But it appeared that some of the militants had fled into the bush. There are four major bases of the militants in the creek and they are led by two men- OC and Agbala. If the military can get these two people, then they would have succeeded in clipping the wings of the militants.”

A community leader, who claimed to have spoken with one of the officers, said, “The military officer said residents should not panic because it was a military exercise. I also gathered that the casualty figure was high and that a lot of the militants had been killed.”

The Director, Defence Information, Brig. Gen. Rabe Abubakar, confirmed the operation, saying it involved the army and the navy.

He said, “The military only conducts its routine operation for the purpose of denying the vandals and other criminal elements from causing terror in the area. The operation, codenamed, Operation Awatse, was initiated by the defence headquarters to dominate the area with a view to flushing out all manners of criminals including militants and saboteurs. The operation involved the joint forces of the navy and army and it has been successful.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State, SP Dolapo Badmos, said the police were part of the operation.

She said, “The Nigerian military and policemen from the Lagos and Ogun commands are part of the operation. We are sweeping through the waterways where we share boundaries to end the activities of the militants. It is a continuous exercise and we cannot tell the number of casualties.”

The acting Police spokesperson, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, promised to call back our correspondent, but he had yet to do so as of press time.

Killing this woman in such a gruesome manner was very cold. Ipso facto, I hope the culprits are reprimanded ASAP.

As a Muslim, I believe Islam is totally against acts which go against the laws of the land. We are in a society bound by laws and norms; and it is totally criminal for anybody -- whether a Muslim or Christian -- to kill a human unjustly. So anyone who feels he is the arbiter of laws and justice should be made to face the music. A proper adherent of Islam is not allowed to take laws into his/her hands or to commit felony, homicide and related criminal acts.

That said, I can see uninformed and hate-filled Christians here are happy this felony was committed by some recalcitrant Muslims and are using the opportunity to taint the image of the religion. You are always quick to use the undesirable actions of a few misguided Muslims to judge the whole Islamic community which spans many nations of the world. Your hateful comments only show the depth of your ignorance and bigotry.
you can't blame them, when something happens often, at least once a week, you tend to believe that that's how all muslims or majority of them are!

I for one believe that the real traits of Muslims are not fully evident while they are in the minority, when they become the majority , they force everyone else to comform to their ways by fire by force! or you end up dead!

Yep, of course she was not dead. For those who may not understand: a freshly dead body can't have a locked jaw (which implies that the jaw muscles are still active) or eyes rolled back (which implies that the eye muscles are still active).
you are definitely right. from the pastors own words, he has proven beyond doubt that the girl did not die.
I'll advise the family of the girl to take her to the hospital for medical examination to stop or reduce future occurrence of such incident!

A young girl named Chinwendu was brought back to life after she passed on during Sunday service at the Anglican chapel of Light, FUTO also known as A.C.O.L. This incident happened on the 26th of June being the last Sunday in the month of June. The miracle was thought to be a rumour and different people where out with different versions of what happened. But the miracle has been ascertained to be true as series of interviews were carried out with the girl (Chinwendu) and the chaplain of Anglican chapel of light, Ven. Dr. Kelechi okere.
The interview was carried out by the ICT Wing of the church, led by the coordinator, Victor and was also edited by the ICT coordinator.
If you’re still wandering about what really happened and would like to know about every bit of the miracle, I urge you to worry no more because the whole incident has been detailed for you below. Any version contrary to the one below here is false and you are strongly advised to ignore them.

THE INTERVIEW
Read the full interview here»» http://www.dominzyloaded.com/2016/07/young-girl-brought-back-to-life-during.html

I’m sure you have been convinced how true the miracle was after the above interview with Chinwendu. We also approached the Chaplain to hear what he had to say about the incident and here was what he said:

Praise the lord, hallelujah. My name is Ven. Dr Kelechi Okere, by divine grace and permission; I am the chaplain of the Anglican chapel of light at federal university of technology, Owerri.
It is said that a thing of joy is a thing of beauty and thanksgiving to God forever, we experienced God’s grace in our chaplaincy that is really good to be shared amongst people of God.
On Sunday, June 26th, the last Sunday in the month of June, according to the church calendar, it was the 5th Sunday after trinity. We normally start our services by 9 `O’clock, so also that Sunday we started our service by 9 O’clock with the normal church procession and the rest. It was around some minutes to 10 in the morning when we were chanting the Psalms number 77. In the process of chanting the psalm, we were at the 6th or 7th verse of the psalm, I noticed that a student in the congregation fell down, and it looked as if she slumped. Her name is Chinwendu(which she told me after the incident), as soon as I saw the lady slumped, what came into my mind was that she was an epileptic patient. And for me I don’t know how to manage epileptic patient because I’ve not handled an epileptic patient before. But I had to move down to her by faith believing that God would tell me what to do. When I got to where she was on the floor, I noticed that there was no life in her. Then I started shouting Jesus! Jesus!! Jesus!!! with my mouth  fixed on her ear, as I continued  shouting  Jesus for  so many times and at that point, I remembered what Elijah did, I wanted  to speak the word of life into her mouth. I tried opening her mouth but I noticed that her teeth were locked up and I couldn’t feel her pulse again and I noticed that she was cold, and immediately, I opened her eyes and I couldn’t see the eyeballs, it was only the white eyes. My God! It dawned on me that the girl was gone. But the spirit of God in me said ‘she cannot go to the mortuary from the sanctuary’. Because in the church, we’ve always prayed against premature death. It was then I beckoned on the students and some of the students and stewards assisted in carrying her to the altar. Brethren I want to tell you that what we carried to the altar was a lifeless body. We laid her on the step leading to the altar and we started praying. I had to ask the church to stop chanting the psalm and also asked everybody to come to the altar and we started praying. It was like crazy. I’ve not seen such a miracle before in my life, we busted out in prayers. For me, I didn’t know when I removed my hood, preaching scarf and surplice and threw them away in the altar, I noticed that during the prayers, God came down in a different manner as we all prayed and cried aloud unto God. In the cause of the prayers, I was monitoring her, but she was just there lifeless. At a point, in the cause of our prayers, sisters and brothers I want you to know that this girl opened her eyes and she came back to life. That was a great miracle I’ve never seen before in my life and ministry.
I believe in miracles because Jesus said that miracle shall follow us. It really followed my ministry.
Today I want to tell you that it’s a testimony in the Anglican chapel of light in FUTO. We give God praise for He did not allow His name to be put to shame. It was a challenge to Christianity and God made a name for Himself and we worship His name.
On this note may I encourage all believers, if you don’t pray, you’ll become a prey to Satan. You need to pray. Whatever that is your problem, if God could do that in our own generation, in my ministry, I want you to know that God will do all things you desire, He will strengthen us only if we believe in Him and pray with hands full of thanksgiving, He will deliver us. You Are Lifted.

Hmmm… What a great God we serve. I pray that as many as those reading this post right now, that they and their family member shall never experience untimely death of any kind in Jesus Mighty Name we pray. AMEN!!

CultureThe Yorubas Are Genetically 99.9 Percent Igbo- Study by antispexish(op): 8:10pm On Jul 02, 2016
Four of the major coastal tribes of Western Africa: the Yoruba, Igbo, Akan and the Gaa-Adangbe are dissimilar at a glance and evidently geographic neighbours, but very closely related, if examined in detail at the genetic level.

Several studies have been employed over the years, with findings bringing up linkages of genetic similarity between differing regional ethnic groups. One in particular, conducted by Adebowale Adeyemo, Guanjie Chen, Yuanxiu Chen, the National Human Genome Centre and Howard University, and Charles Rotimi of the University of Ibadan provided results indicating the genetic similarities between the four major West African ethnic groups.
Their findings further indicated surprising genetic variance within groups, but almost none across groups, similar to the closeness of human genetics across races, showing more range within than without.

According to this landmark study there was 99.9 percent within-population variance, the between-population variance was less than 0.1 percent. This means that Yorubas, Igbos, Gaa and Akan are 99.9 percent similar, while within each of the groups there are variations/differences between individuals as high as 99 percent i.e. One Igbo may be 99 percent genetically different from another Igbo, or one Yoruba person to another.

It is important to remember that these groups were not initially split by national borders; prior to the European division of the continent, these ethnic peoples traded, migrated and wedded as the times permitted, allowing apparent regional and national mixtures that remain evident in modern day genetic analyses of some Yoruba and Igbo individuals.

Race and ethnicity are considered to be related concepts. Ethnicity is often assumed to be somewhat more of a cultural identity of a group, often based on shared ancestry, language and cultural tradition, while race is assumed to be strictly a biological classification, based on genetic materials and bone structure. Ethnicity is often used synonymously with ambiguous terms such as nation or people, depending on which source of group identity is emphasized to define membership, the following types of (often mutually overlapping) groups are:

Ethno-linguistic, emphasizing shared language, dialect or script — example: Hausa.
Ethno-national, emphasizing a shared polity or sense of national identity — example: Nigerian.
Ethno-racial, emphasizing shared physical appearance based on genetic origins — example: African-American.
Ethno-regional, emphasizing a distinct local sense of belonging stemming from relative geographic isolation — example: South Islanders.
Ethno-religious, emphasizing shared affiliation with a particular religion, denomination or sect — example: Christians.

Also worthy of note is the shared Volta-Niger root languages, Yoruba and Igbo languages belong to the same family (YEAI branch), showing the common start of the diverse languages spoken by these ethnicities.

Consequently, barring the inclusion of culture, tribal affiliation and nationality, it could be said that the the Yorubas, the Igbos, the Akans and the Gaa-Adangbes are but a people spread over a wide area with different ways of life. Thus discrediting any claim of a unique Yoruba “race” or a genetically insured Igbo ethnicity often employed by politicians and traditional rulers in rhetorics and propaganda messages.

The reality, however, is the hampered economic strength of a not truly united front, with success delayed continually by the lack of pan-African sentiments on the part of the leadership, and poor economic decisions taken in an imperialist system. This is not to revile the revered skin deep differences in each group’s cultural development, but serves to indicate and rejoice in the underlying sameness of what appears ‘not’ to be.
A body does not fight itself. These kinds of research serve as a balm to the much divided heart of the ethnically-concerned West African, and to the African at large: one root, many branches; united by blood if not spirit.

Ihuomadinihu:
Basically,Igbos are self sufficient and sensitive people who believe in showcasing achievements and greatness to the world, consequently same traits are also applied in ceremonies and events. The average Igbo man attending a party does act like a glutton because he believes his own food is sufficient for him and he knows that swallowing every food available at the party is a dent on his honour and prestige.
Actually, igbos are not hungry people looking for where to eat download food. On the contrary,we believe in blessing the celebrants with enamorous Gifts and Cash. Ceremony in Igboland is an opportunity to gather your friends and have them show solidarity for you.
The cash and gifts symbolize that you have people who have achieved enough not to be stingy with their wealth.
The cash and money realized at the end of the day will be used to offset expenses, which will go a long way in preventing abject poverty.
It's unfortunate that some people that i would'lt mention see it as showoff and boring . It's our lifestyle and we are proud of it.
Only guttons go to party to eat everything on the menu!
when achievements and greatness is determined by how much money you have, the society can never be well.
When friendship is determined by size of pocket, the community wiLloyd not be well.

At a Yoruba party , you will enjoy yourself , either poor or rich
you will felicitate with your friends , both poor and rich
the rich deliberately don't eat at home sef, cus they know they are going to eat with their friends, both rich and poor!
