PoliticsRe: Pdp Wins Osun Governorship Election With 28,000 Votes by AntonVince: 6:36am On Jul 17, 2022
XX01:
Is 18 out of 30 enough to cover 2/3 of the state?
At least 25% in 2/3rd (20 states) is what the winner requires.
He doesn't have to win outrightly in 20 States. Did Oyetola win 20 states 4years ago, despite being "inconclusively" rigged in?

You guys should rest nah, Osun people have re-affirmed their choice yet again.

He be like say na only PDP and APC get this coming 2023 coming election ekiti APC won osun either APC or PDP win, to me I think LP don't have any stand here in South West, mind you amongst people that vote PDP in osun today might vote APC during presidential election
Tinubu will no doubt perform much better in Osun State next year but that unfortunately won't be enough to fetch him that seat he so desperately wants.
There's simply no workable permutation to get an all-Muslim ticket to Aso Rock at the moment, at least not through the ballot...that's the reality!

BAT's 2023 dream is almost entirely dependent on Buhari helping him exploit incumbency advantage to get rigged in next year but that is looking increasingly like a tall order.

Viking07:
They said PDP needs to win at least 20 LGA, so what happens next?
Not true.
The winner only needs to get at least 25% of the votes cast in 2/3rd of all the 30 LGs (which is 25% in 20 states).

Rest...it's over.
Adeleke has retrieved his "inconclusively" stolen mandate of 2018.

Kagd10:
I don't understand either. TBH, I didn't even bother about Osun election because the two candidates weren't standard enough for me but I believe Oyetola should have edged it regardless.

Personally, I don't think APC campaigned as they should instead of running everywhere with Portable who dresses in rags..

They should have tabled more cogent things in their campaign such as:

The fact that Oyetola is only a governor, not the president of the country hence the economy of the country shouldn't be blamed on him. In fact, the entire world's economy is crying out as we speak sef.

Secondly, talk about the education prowess of the two candidates.

Thirdly, talk about competence irrespective of religion. Competence should always take the upper hand above religion.

Mention their achievements which also includes pension and salaries payment (However, I don't don't know if Oyetola was paying these regularly in every month)

These are the cogent things they should always put in their campaign and focus on.

I hope Tinubu and others learn from this because I know what the opposition can always do, especially in the South. What these opposing miscreants always do is to wail about the economy under APC blah blah blah while lying to the people that they would be the ones to make the economy better as if they've ever achieved anything of sort in their state or local government.. Yeye dey smell.
The very first step towards recovery from a failure is an objective self-appraisal and a genuine commitment to making amends.
How do you reconcile the 2 boldened parts of your comment? In one sentence, you enjoin Tinubu to learn from this humiliating defeat and in another, you engage in self-deceit by refusing to admit that the APC has failed nationally. Are you denying the obvious fact that your party has run our country aground, or do you live in a different country?

You also wish Oyetola had dissociated himself from Buhari and his failure...how possible is that, given that Buhari is the poster boy of the APC?

Finally, you need to respect the fact we are in a democracy where the people's will is (or should be sacrosanct). Need I remind you that the people gave their mandate to Adeleke 4 years ago before your Buhari/APC and INEC brazenly circumvented it through a fraudulent declaration of the election as inconclusive? The people have simply re-affirmed their choice again today and we all have to respect that.

Exactly.
Deliberate delay in result upload with the intent to alter them are things everyone must watch for right now.

Stop deceiving yourself bro. Tinubu is not the one contesting regardless of his influence. You don’t expect people to vote for underperforming oyetola bcs of tinubu. Even if the election was done the same day, people will reject oyetola and still vote tinubu.

Imole will certainly pummel Oyetola with no less than 50,000 votes in this election.
Imagine the latter not being an incumbent with access to tax-payers' funds and federal might...it would've been a complete annihilation.

God bless you, great people of the noble State of Osun.

Hunger and hardship have no tribe or religion. Let's collectively send the APC packing at all levels in 2023.
Say no to reinforcement of failure.

Things don't work that way in politics. It's not like in elementary arithmetic where X = 2 implies 2X being 4.
Trust me, a combination of Oni and Fayose would have easily dethroned the APC from Ekiti.

Cold comfort.
Apparently you lot have conceded defeat already, with all your attention now diverted towards the Labour Party.

While you agbado cum cassava-munching online team engaged yourselves in bitter divisive politics with the intent of pitting other Nigerians against the Igbos, the genuine Omoluabis were mobilizing locally to rid their state of the calamitous APC that has brought untold hardship upon Nigerians.

I pray and I'm very positive Adeleke maintains and widens his lead on the way to a well-deserved victory, to serve as a loud warning to all of you exploiting tribe and religion with a bid to reinforcing failure (God forbids it) in 2023.

This religion thing they are starting to play in this country, they need to stop it.....it's better to tell people the reason to vote for thier candidate and not calling on one particular religion to vote for their candidate. Religion civil war will happen soon in that country. All this are happening because Christian in Nigeria are too quiet. In a country where the two main religions divide the population into 2, I don't why one is feeling superior to other one just because they quiet for peace to raín.
Who told you they are just starting?
They have ALWAYS been scheming to subjugate docile Christians who have been f00lishly acting woke and liberal.

PoliticsRe: Osun Poll: Youths In Osogbo Speak - PM News by AntonVince: 4:53pm On Jul 15, 2022
The "Imole" people had better watched INEC very closely this time to avoid another 1000+ votes cancellation and eventual "inconclusive" declaration.
Oyetola has enjoyed a brazenly stolen mandate for 4 years now.

It's all eyes on INEC again.
PoliticsRe: Muslim-Muslim Ticket Will Destabilise Nigeria - DSS Tells Buhari by AntonVince:
The ultra-desperate toad-eyed incontinence and Parkinson disease-suffering octogenarian thief is this emboldened to spit on Christendom just because his satanic Janjaweedal party is in power....and the id10t is banking on bloc votes from Christian-dominant Lagos, Ondo, Ogun and Ekiti States.

But for incumbency advantage, this wouldn't be even worth discussing at all as the ticket is bound to fail.
No one would would bother if INEC was truly independent, with the capacity to deliver free, fair and credible elections and not an arm of the APC.
All we need and ask from Buhari, his INEC and other State institutions is fairness in the conduct of the 2023 polls; and that criminal and his wild-goose-chase "life-long ambition" will be sent to perpetual oblivion.
