Halcyon123: Read about night terror. Just Google it and is nothing to worry about. Thanks, just did. It used to be infrequent but recently became an everyday thing. That was why I was worried. But funny enough, since I made that post, we've been having peaceful nights. I think it's a good thing I came to rant |

Halcyon123: The crying, does it happen while she is awake or still sleeping? From her sleep. Like she's dreaming or something. But when she's fully awake, she stops. |

Cutemarvel: Mama I didn't want to believe it until my 16 months old (now 20 months)son started falling sick even before I confirmed pregnancy. He dropped weight from 13kg to 10kg. I must hold him before he sleeps and he will hold unto me with his leg and and arm while asleep but does not cry from sleep. I heard it's common if they are of opposite sex.
We still sleep on the same bed and I don't believe in that bathing water stuff. Just pray for her.
He's over the fear now. Many people confirmed it happened to them.
What I did was to give him the attention he needed, allowed him to be with his father as much as possible and he always prayed for him , limit the carry you and school also helped us. He's better now. My dd too was very clingy in the early stages too. In fact, the only way she could sleep was if she cuddled me tightly, with her head on my bwest and her hands playing with my nips! Na there fight start o. I can permit cuddling but not playing with my nips biko One night I left her to cry for almost 30 minutes. I left her alone with her papa till she had cried enough. Then I came and gave her ibuprofen and she slept off. That was the last time she slept on me. As long as there's someone in the room, she'd just climb on the bed and sleep off. It's just the waking up crying and tossing around I don't understand. It's well jare |

FloraEC: I don't know if is true but when I was pregnant with my son, my daughter was having on/off sickness but I refused to believe twas my belle. But the sleeping part, I didn't notice that oo, my daughter loves her sleep. We shared bed even till date. My dd was very ill even before I missed my period. In fact, when I didn't see af on time, I thought it was the stress of taking care of her that delayed it.. Then she started school and we were going to the hospital every two weeks. Tho I said it was new environment and school stress. We're past all that now, just the midnight thingy. I pray that one should just stop already. |

hunniesuzie: Lol, story. I think it's an old wives tale but I also believe it you believe something you'll start to experience it, the brain is a powerful organ
Reject such statements and sleep with your daughter if you want to. I have had no such experience Honestly I didn't even believe it o, but her recent behavior got me worried. She would cry out as if being disturbed by something but will be her bubbly self during the day. I would wonder if she was in pains or something, but she doesn't exhibit any such thing during the day. Na why I begin fear whether unborn baby dey beat am for sleep ni o Good to know you didn't experience such |

Mamas good evening o, abi good night Abeg come to my aid o, mamas of two and above. Is it true that when one is pregnant for the second it will cause the first to start falling sick? I know I've heard that it's mere superstition and I actually don't believe it but how do I explain my situation? OK, first, my neighbor told me that I should stop sleeping on the same bed with my dd. That she'll be jealous of the one in vitro, and that one in turn will be beating her. It sounded so ridiculous to me and I laughed it off. But she was insistent and said, should my girl fall ill, it's my fault. That I should sleep elsewhere and when my bump is big, I should be bathing with her and make the water from my belly touch her while bathing. She even blamed the recent malaria my girl had on me. I didn't quite take her serious tho. But coincidentally or otherwise, these days, my girl struggles and cries from her sleep and most times would wake up and find it really hard to sleep back until the early hours of the morning. This in turn affects me as I won't be able to catch enough sleep before getting up to prepare for the day. I keep wondering what's upsetting her from her sleep. I pray for her continuously most times before she's able to sleep off again. This is making me to begin to think ridiculously, like is it possible my pregnancy is disturbing her? In your subsequent pregnancies, did you experience anything like this? Do I really need to stop sharing a bed with her? Or what do you think it is? |
