Please guys I need your advice, I am a government worker and my monthly salary is #55,000 but I usually get some allowance anytime I went for an assignment, infact am presently in one assignment right now and my allowance for this assignment is #65,000 so right now all my earnings every month for now is #120,000. but the problem am having right now is that I don't like the job because of the risk in it (You can lost your life at any given time) and also the job is not 100% guarantee because you can be fire at anytime, I also don't have time for myself and my family and the government did not have any proper plan for our future.
So now am thinking of buying a car so that I can be using it for online cab such as Uber and Bolt because I have discussed it with some of my family and friends and they said doing Uber and Bolt is more lucrative(financially) than my present job and I am going to have time to plan for my future and also the risk in it is not as high as my present job. please note that I will be the one to be driving my car.
Please your advice is urgently needed please you can also ask me any questions. Please my brothers may God bless our hustle.

If ur safety is not an issue, and the job is guaranteed, then I wouldn't say u should resign. U can buy the car and do ehailing as a side hussle.
I guess when u aren't on assignment u have more time to urself, so u can drive more to cover up when that extra 65k is not coming in.

But with ur life at risk and nothing tangible commensurate to the risk coming in, u are better off leaving the work.

Boss this call is urs, every business or job have their down sides, can u stand the rain, that should b ur first question. if you have ur car already, take a break from work 1 or 2 weeks, try your strength and see if u can stand this and sum the balance up.

What is the state of your car? How good are you when it comes to putting 2k together, u may gross 80k and don't see 20k in ur account, Lagos money... but if I see 120k job now, without risk, the only reason I'll do it is because of indriver, only legend will understand.

The only reason I will support you to leave your govt job is the safety and risk you talked about. I don't know the job, but if it is as life threatening as you made it look, it should be paying way more than what you are being paid.

A govt job that's not 100% guaranteed sounds like a contract job.

Bros, if u can afford a car, buy it, resign, do ehailing while searching for another job. U will make 120k in 2weeks without stress and sleep or do whatever u like the rest of the month.

Road referees (lastman, police,CBD etc) (manageable but you will fall victim

but to claim they are still using weapons used during civil war, it's pure false.
I'm more than 100% certain that the yaradua administration bought weapon and even the Jonathan administration smuggled weapons into the country.
during my days in 242. I stayed in the officers quarters and witnesses a close encounter where our magazine (place where weapons are kept almost exploded when the bushes around it caught fire)..I witnessed it first hand.
I might be young then but I know those weapons were very fresh..

#20k as monguno allowance (not regular)
#45k as special force allowance.
also they are being granted bonus for every successful operation.

If the car is yours and it is what you have at the moment, there is hardly a car one can't use. It is your car, you will know how to handle it better.
