A video circulating online shows moment a juju testing experiment turned fatal in Ayiem, near River Subiri.

It was gathered that a young man identified as Amoh Kwadwo, known as Mallam, met his untimely demise when his attempt to showcase acquired juju powers led to a fatal shooting.

In the video, his friend, Emmanuel Quaicoe, 22, pulled the trigger, resulting in the grim incident that happened yesterday, August 26.

The Mpohor District Police Command confirms that their swiftly took action and apprehended Quaicoe, while four others fled the scene.

Ghana police statement said:

“The Police have arrested one suspect in connection with the killing of a 28-year-old man at Ayiem in the Western Region on 25th August 2023.

“Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect, Emmanuel Quayco, together with five other accomplices currently on the run, was in the process of exhibiting the potency of their alleged spiritual powers when he shot and killed the deceased, Amoh Kwadwo alias Mallam, with a single-barrel gun loaded with an AA cartridge.

“The suspect is currently in Police custody assisting the investigation while efforts are underway to arrest the other five suspects to face justice. They are advised to surrender to the nearest Police Station or be fished out from their hideouts.”

Troops of 6 Division Nigerian Army have continued to crack down on saboteurs of Nigeria's oil sector in South South Nigeria.

On 23 August 2023, troops conducting anti oil theft operations, responding to actionable intelligence swooped on an illegal oil refinery site in the general area of Ogbokoko and Atu in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. During the operations, troops destroyed 8 active Ovens used for illegal refining of stolen crude oil, 14 storage reservoirs containing stolen crude oil estimated at 200,000 litres and 90,000 litres of locally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).

The oil thieves fled the scene, on sighting the advancement of troops. The Illegal refining site was destroyed in-situ in line with extant guidelines of Operation Delta Safe. Investigation is ongoing to arrest the fleeing criminals.

Members of the public are please implored to report any suspected act of sabotage or criminality to security agencies to enhance ongoing operations to curb economic sabotage in the country.

Unknown armed gunmen kill Commander of Benue State Livestock Guards, along with three of his colleagues.

It was gathered that the victims were tragically killed in separate attacks in Ukum Local Government Area of the state.

Jarule Likita, the Commander was fatally shot multiple times in the chest at Tine-Nune settlement around 8pm today, August 21.

According to eyewitnesses, Likita was followed by the assailants, who opened fire on him, prompting others in the area to flee.

The Disheartening incident comes after three other members of the Guards were also murdered by armed men a few weeks prior.

Reacting to the incident, the State Commander of the Guards, Mr. Linus Zaki, expressed his concern over the ongoing attacks and the challenges posed by these unidentified gunmen.

The incident was also confirmed by the Benue State police spokesperson, Superintendent Catherine Anene.

She stated that she had not yet received official reports on the incidents.
