Politics › Anambra 2017: Group Plans 2 Million-man Match For APC by Aonkuuse(op): 7:59am On Jul 12, 2017
If the plans of a group called Forum of State Commanders of Rochas People Movement (RPM)South-East and SouthSouth Geopolitical zones is anything to go by, the re-election bid of the incumbent Governor of Anambra State is under a serious
challenge. The Forum, which is rooting for the political interest of Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has concluded plans to organize a 2-million-man match in Awka the AnambraState capital later this month in solidarity with All Progressive Congress, APC, ahead of the 2017 governorship election in Anambra State. Chairman of the Forum, Samuel Odoyi, who disclosed this during the inauguration of the state Chairman of the RPM in Anambra at Isuofia, said that the target of the match is to install an APC governor at the Government House in Awka come November this year. Odoyi, who is the Commander of Rivers State Chapter of RPM, said that the Movement is committed to the political interests of the South-East and South-South, adding that the RPM is committed to bridging the gap between the leaders and the people at all levels most especially the grassroots through a massive mobilisation movement. In her remarks, the state Commander of RPM in Anambra, Hon Bridget Nnebdum, who thanked the Forum of Commanders for their support in ensuring that her position as Anambra boss is intact, said that APC will take over Anambra come November courtesy of the efforts of RPM and other organs of the party in the state. In his acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Chief Augustine Okeke, assured that he will deliver beyond expectation, assuring full loyalty to the state Commander, Hon Nebedum and other topranking members of the group.

Education › 10 Celebrities Who Were Killed By The Illuminati by Aonkuuse(op): 5:55pm On Jul 11, 2017
While we understand that the families of the bereaved will almost certainly cry foul when their loved ones are taken away, the ones we struggle to understand are the conspiracy theorists.
Conspiracy theorists will always look for, and find a good reason to loathe something, or a good reason to prove that something is not the way we see it, convinced it happened in a different way altogether.
Over the years there have been a lot of individuals, or in this case celebrities, who have died. Some of them died natural deaths, others died in circumstances that can only be described as uncertain. There are deaths that remain a mystery to date, and since not much seems to come from the authorities and investigators, the more time passes, this information gap is filled by our able conspiracy theorists.
The best thing about conspiracy theorists, especially when it comes to proving that certain celebrity deaths were nothing but the work of the Illuminati, is how they always manage to find evidence, circumstantial or not, linking the Illuminati to these bizarre incidences. The following is a list of high profile individuals who were allegedly killed by the Illuminati – go grab some popcorn!
10. Ryan Dunn
One of the guys behind the Jackass crew, Ryan Dunn was found dead in June 2011 in a car accident, at 3am. While a lot of people will say this was just any other accident, conspiracy theorists have their way of proving things to be contrary to what we read about in the media concerning Dunn’s death. According to such theories, June 20 is the eve of the summer solstice sacrifice night, for the Illuminati. Other than that, he died at 3 in the morning, which is also considered to be the hour of the devil. Toxicology reports indicated that the 34-year-old had two times the legal alcohol limit in his blood at the time of death.
9. Whitney Houston
Perhaps the death of Whitney Houston has to be one of the most theorized in the Illuminati conspiracy theories. A songstress whose music has lived through generations, and still lives on to date, many believed that her success might never have been if she did not join the Illuminati. Upon her initiation, she rose to fame, and success followed. As fate would have it, her masters would be done with her in 2012 when she was acutely intoxicated on cocaine, in her bathtub. According to our “learned fellows,” her contract was up. Well, at least someone else doesn’t see the hand of Bobby Brown in this!
8. Corey Haim
There is this thing with child stars and addiction, which conspiracy theorists and Illuminati propagandists always refuse to consider. When fame gets to your head as a kid, there is only one way out for you, destruction, and death. The 80s teen idol who featured in The Lost Boys became such a hit at a juvenile age, and addiction soon followed. It was in 2010 when he collapsed and died, in the presence of his mother – he was still living with her. The results of his autopsy indicated that he died of pneumonia, but the 553 prescription pills he had purchased in 32 days before his death raised lots of questions.
7. John F. Kennedy
Perhaps one of the deaths that has been at the helm of conspiracy theories of how the Illuminati work is the assassination of JFK. He reportedly had been working for the Illuminati, as is the case with almost all the American presidents who enter the Oval Office. He supposedly got tired of their demands and began to resist their advances. When this happened, his goose was already cooked. The masters that be organized his assassination, and on November 22, 1963, they took care of their small problem. His legacy lives on, as does the Illuminati conspiracy over his death.
6. Michael Jackson
Whitney died while she was making her comeback into the music industry. She had already worked on a number of tracks, and things were looking up. Such was the scenario with MJ. His Comeback concert was already sold out, London was eagerly awaiting his show in June 2009 and then he was no more. Homicide and cardiac arrest have been cited to have caused his death. He was apparently a member of the Illuminati, but before he died he had been speaking out against their need to stay in control of everything, and most importantly, their incessant desire to kill him.
5. John Lennon
The case of John Lennon was simply a matter of someone being too popular for the elite to fathom. Most of those in power did not appreciate the following that he had gathered over time. Such were his tribulations that the INS had already made attempts to have him deported. Apart from the INS, the FBI ran constant surveillance on him. For Lennon, his biggest mistake was speaking out against the evils that had taken root in the industry. According to conspiracy theorists, his assassin had been under mind control by the Illuminati when he proceeded to kill John Lennon.
4. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. was another case of popularity getting out of hand. The Illuminati love someone who brings in the masses in hordes, but when it appears as though this popularity will get in the way of their bidding, they have to go. Of course Martin Luther King, Jr. was an influential individual, there’s no doubt about that. However, when he came out and denounced the large corporations in their support for the Vietnam War, whose benefits the corporations would enjoy for years, he became the easiest target the Illuminati has ever gone after, wiped out in April 1968.
3. Abraham Lincoln
Big businesses and corporations are not just a problem that we have to deal with today, Lincoln had already been struggling with them for a while. The challenge here was that the corporations were becoming a threat to the Southern Confederacy. Since he had already started speaking out against the powers that be, he was next in line to be taken out. April, 1865 came and Lincoln was no more. On so many occasions he had spoken out against these corporations, and how they take advantage of the economy at its worst, while at the same time preying upon the country during peaceful times.
2. Tupac Shakur
The case of Tupac was different. For a young man who was in the music industry, a black man struggling with the racial challenges at the time, it would have been hard for him to make it. So he apparently sold his soul to the devil. To gain success, he traded his life for the fame. By the time he was 25 years old, he had already become so popular, and also had quite an audience to which he would speak his mind. Since his ideas and the Illuminati vision were never on the same page, his time was up, or so they say…
1. John F. Kennedy Jr.
The death of JFK Jr., just like the assassination of his father, drew a lot of speculation. There were widespread rumors that Jr. had come across information regarding the death of his father. In this dossier, he would reveal that George Bush and the CIA had conspired with the Illuminati to have his father assassinated. We can only imagine how damning this information would have been, especially if there were credible documents to support it. Before he would come to publish his report, he was a victim of a plane crash in July of 1999, and with his death, disappeared the information he intended to publish.

Politics › N1.13tn Needed Annually To Run Police – IGP by Aonkuuse(op): 4:48pm On Jul 11, 2017
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, on Tuesday said that the Nigeria Police Force required N1.13tn annually to effectively execute its operations.
Idris said this at a Public Hearing on Bills to establish the Police Reform Trust Fund and a Bill to amend the Explosives Act 2004 in Abuja.
The hearing was organised by the House of Representatives Committee on Police Affairs.
He explained that the amount excluded major capital projects such as arms and ammunition, purchase of new vehicles, gunboats, helicopters and other equipment.
Idris said that the N560bn recommended by the MD Yusuf-led Police Reform Committee in 2008 was a far cry from the current amount required.
“To fully appreciate the funding challenges of the Nigeria Police Force, it will be appropriate to compare the MD Yusuf financial estates of 2008,” he said.
He explained that the force required an average of N26.9bn annually for the maintenance and fueling of its vehicles.
“Presently, the force has a fleet of 14, 306 vehicles including 3,115 motorcycles nationwide,” he said.
The police boss also said that N14.5bn would be required annually for uniforms and kits for personnel of the force.
Idris noted that the regular source of funding for the police through budgetary allocation had failed to address the financial needs of the force to provide security for the nation.
He said that if the bill was passed into law, it would largely address the funding challenges of the police.
“The bill will provide alternative source of funding for the Nigeria Police Force for the training and retraining of personnel,” he said.
He said that the police required over N200bn to install cameras, databases all police stations across the country.
“To effectively investigate and prosecute offenders, we must invest massively in the detective infrastructure and capacity of our investigators,” he said.
Idris said this would enhance the investigation and prosecutorial capacity of the police.
He observed that restricting the trust fund to a period of six years would not be in the best interested of the force and public.
“The fund once established should be sustained in the interest of national security and not be to be time bound.
“The purpose of the fund is to provide alternative funding for the police, but if it is subjected to too many bottlenecks, the objective will be defeated,” he said.
On the explosives bill, Idris said that it would curb the illegal storage and use of explosives in the country.
He noted that the current Act was outdated and did not address the present day security challenges facing the country.
The Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara said adequate funding was critical for the police to function effectively.
Dogara was represented by the House Minority leader, Rep. Leo Ogor (PDP-Delta).
He said that inadequate funding of the police had exposed it to criticisms by Nigerians.
He said that the passage of the bill and its signing into law would provide first-line charge for the police to carry out its operations.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Police Affairs, Rep. Dauda Jika ( APC- Bauchi), said that the hearing was aimed at giving stakeholders the opportunity to make inputs into the bills.
He said that if passed into law, the fund would afford individuals and groups to contribute to the funding of the police.
“Funding the police adequately will boost its morale and efficiency,” he said.
Jika said that the bill would also enhance the operations of the police and make them not to be partisan during elections in the country.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin called for a 10-year jail term for any one who misappropriated the fund.
“Any person found guilty of misappropriating the fund should go for at least 10 year imprisonment,” Olonisakin, who was represented by AVM Ibrahim Shafi, said.
Former commissioner of police, Mr Fidelis Oyakhilome, who spoke on behalf of retired officers, called for constant training and restraining of police personnel for efficient performance.
He said that the proliferation of security organisations in the country was unacceptable when the police was not adequately funded.
Other stakeholders who made presentations at the hearing are: NLC, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and traditional rulers, among others.
The bill seeks to provide alternative funding for the police.
The bill to amend the explosives Act seeks to provide stiffer penalties for defaulters of the law regulating explosives in the country.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has warned that any attempt by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to align with the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) to rig the forth-coming election in Ekiti and other states under PDP governorship will amounts to dire consequences which INEC alone would be hold responsible for.
Fayose also said that the APC-led Federal Government will be changed come next election.
Speaking in a reception organised by the Ibibio people of Akwa Ibom State in honour of their governor, Emmanuel Udom and in attendance of governors of Abia and Imo states, Okezie Ikeazu and Rochas Okorocha, Fayose, who while greeting the Ibibio people and praising Governor Udom, said he is the next President of Nigeria in 2019, warning, “Any attempt by INEC to put sand in Ekiti, Akwa Ibom or other states of PDP come the next elections, whatever your hands find inside snake hole, you take it like that.”
Fayose in his address monitored by The AUTHORITY in Abuja, said, “People might shot their eyes to truth or pretend as if they don’t want the truth, INEC might be busy trying to remove Dino Melaye but we represent the truth, we say the truth, and we don’t care, because a nation that abhors or take away the truth can never be at peace.

and are you dumb. Buhari is away for just two months. Yar'adua was six months. And a president must not be away for more than six months

The post is tribal. The man is even fair enough to tell you people that he is going on medical leave. Yar adua was six months when we discover he is sick without letting the nation know. That is why there is a provision for vice president in the Nigeria constitution. Buhari is sick that is for certain. And Nigeria president is a human being, he can fall sick he has his vice to handover to when he is not around. So what is the bragging up and down? Oya if it is in the Constitution that a president cannot be sick then go and impeach him. Rubbish, you people should not find something meaningful to do. Keep bragging

Politics › Nigeria, Three Other Countries To Receive $639million From President Trump by Aonkuuse(op): 8:37am On Jul 09, 2017
US President, Donald Trump, on Saturday pledged to donate $639million in aid to feed people facing starvation because of drought and conflict in North-East Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen.
Trump’s pledge came during a working session of the G20 summit of world leaders in Hamburg, Germany, the UN World Food Programme (WFP), Executive Director, David Beasley, said on the sidelines of the meeting, according to Reuters.
Acting Head, Bureau of Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Rob Jenkins, confirmed that Nigeria will get $121million from the money.
Similarly, more than $191million would go to Yemen, $199million to South Sudan and nearly $126million for Somalia.
Osinbajo reveals what FG thinks will ensure Nigeria’s stability
“With this new assistance, the United States is providing additional emergency food and nutrition assistance, life-saving medical care, improved sanitation, emergency shelter and protection for those who have been affected by conflict,” USAID said in a statement
Jenkins said conflicts in the four countries, had made it difficult to reach some communities in need of food.
“We’re in a dire situation right now. The situation in southern Ethiopia fortunately does not rise to the dire situation of the other four, but the situation is deteriorating and might very well be catastrophic without additional interventions,” he said

Politics › NUPENG To NASS: Leave Fashola Alone by Aonkuuse(op): 8:20am On Jul 09, 2017
THE Petroleum Tankers Drivers (PTD) of the National Union of Petroleum and National Gas Workers (NUPENG) has called on the National Assembly to stop the gang up against the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola.
The national president of PTD branch of NUPENG, Comrade Solomon Akanni Oladiti gave the warning during the National Executive Meeting of the union held in Kaduna State, on Saturday.
According to him, ‘‘as members of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers’ Branch of NUPENG, we are watching events as they unfold and we are determined to arrest the drift.
‘‘We shall do all that is lawfully allowed to ensure that the illegality being cooked against Mr Fashola and the efforts of the government at making life more comfortable for Nigerians in general, is resisted.
‘‘Members of the National Assembly are therefore advised to allow national interest blossom against the parochial interest they are trying to dress up in the garb of nationalism.
‘‘We recall that the Minister had recently expressed his frustration over the manner in which the legislative arm of government altered the budget after putting members of the Executive through Budget Defence Sessions and Committee Hearings.’’
‘Mr. Fashola specifically listed the Lagos- Ibadan Expressway, the Bodo-Bonny road, the Kano-Maiduguri road, the Second Niger Bridge and the Mambilla Hydropower Project among others as those that the National Assembly materially altered the allocations in favour of scores of boreholes and primary health care centers which were never discussed during the Ministerial Budget Defence before Parliament.
‘We recall that the Minister made other startling revelations: that the budget of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway was reduced by the National Assembly from N31 billion to N10 billion while the budgetary provision for the 2nd Niger bridge was reduced from N15 billion to N10 billion, to accommodate, the legislators preference of boreholes and primary health centers.
‘At this critical time when Nigerians are groaning under epileptic power supply and we believe, all hands must be on deck to salvage the embarrassing situation, it is disheartening and condemnable that the lawmakers have unjustifiably decided to cut the budget for Mambila power project.

Politics › Kudos To Igbo Elders For Moderating Agitation by Aonkuuse(op): 9:34am On Jul 08, 2017
It is heart-warming that genuine elders/leaders in Igbo land have now decided to take charge of the political proceedings in the South-east. For too long, they left a massive gap for an intellectually-bankrupt Nnamdi Kanu to exploit. It’s so difficult to phantom how a region with eggheads sat down for that long to allow a tenderfoot like IPOB’s Kanu to go about misleading the masses of the region. I am not sorry to say this: Kanu lacks the intelligence, finesse and maturity to lead South-east’s battle for justice and equity. His specious exuberance and crudeness will create more problems than solution for this great region. Kanu’s sense of history is also crooked. His hate speeches and conduct are aberrations in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious society like ours. Every God-fearing Nigerian must rise and bury this extremist called Nnamdi Kanu.
Great sons of Igboland must take full charge of the South-east struggle. This is a struggle for justice and equity in Nigeria and not the balkanisation of this great country. It is a struggle for true federalism, constitutionalism, freedom, rule of law and not setting brothers against brothers. The great men of this land of the rising sun that I am talking about include: Alex Ekwueme, Ebitu Ukiwe, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, Emeka Anyaoku, Mbazulike Amaechi, Sam Egwu, John Nnia Nwodo, Ike Ekweremadu, Uche Okwukwu, Uche Onyeagucha, Prof Anya O Anya, Pius Anyim Pius, Peter Obi, Ike Nwachukwu, Enwo Igariwey, Alfred Achebe, Dozie Ikedife, Maxwell Anikwenwa, Joe Achuzia, Anagha Ezikpe and Ogbonna Onovo.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex-Igbo socio-cultural organisation has already taken a giant step to check this motor park tout called Kanu after the comical IPOB leader called for the stoppage of the November 18, 2017 governorship election in Anambra State.
Ohaneze’s leader, Nwodo, remarked: “Yes, we are not happy with our treatment in Nigeria. Yes, some of us want Biafra. Yes, some of us prefer a restructured Federal Republic of Nigeria, but the fact remains that we are still part and parcel of the present Federal Republic of Nigeria, bound by its laws, no matter how repressive or unjust. Our approach to reforms of our laws, even if it leads to self-determination or restructuring, must be lawful. We must convince other Nigerians of our point of view, we must strive to make others share our convictions.
“Our language must be civil, respectful and lead to consensus building. We must resist any attempt to turn division amongst us, as to which way we must go, to a source of altercations between us. As we speak, very many of our people living in Northern Nigeria are in complete awe and consternation regarding how safe they will be after October 1st. Other Northerners living amongst us are also worried.”
Also, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, in a letter to Kanu remarked: “Biafra’s concept is a metaphor for the demand for equity and fair play in the Nigerian state and not a separatist movement. Nnamdi Kanu’s call for a boycott of elections in the South-east is irresponsible, irredentist and totally devoid of any focus.
“You must appreciate that for different logical reasons and perception, the Biafra concept has attracted favourable comments among our people, ostensibly borne out of the marginalisation of Ndigbo in the Nigerian state. In this popular agitation for Biafra, Ndigbo have not instituted a separatist movement or a terrorist gang as it were. We are more concerned about the continued existence of Nigeria under the present structural arrangement.”
APGA advised the IPOB leader to drop his “emperor” perception of himself and humble himself before the true leadership of Ndigbo for a proper and better articulation of the Biafra struggle.
It is also cheery that Igbo leaders from the South-east zone, including its governors, National Assembly members and leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, rose from a closed-door meeting in Enugu last Sunday, restating the zone’s commitment to a united Nigeria.
“Ndigbo are in support of a united Nigeria where peace, love, fairness, justice, equity and equality of opportunity are paramount, regardless of creed, ethnicity, gender or political affiliation. That we condemn all hate speeches and conduct emanating from any segment of Nigeria,” remarked the Igbo leaders.
The icing on the cake was from the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, who appealed for caution among those pushing for a sovereign state of Biafra, and called on Igbo youths to jettison the idea of leaving Nigeria. He remarked: “Having invested across the country, the best option for Igbo is to team up with those pushing for the nation to be restructured. The truth is, times have changed, and so have political interests because 1967 is different from 2017.
“Igbo leaders must set up a committee for continuous engagement and moderation of IPOB, other pro-Biafra organisations and their leaders to avoid hate speeches and reckless statements that would make the South-east lose its friends and sympathisers. Ndigbo need a bigger space to operate. In fact, Nigeria as a country is even a small space for the enterprising spirit of the Igbo, hence our people are scattered all over Africa and are capable of dominating the economic space.”
Wise men of Igboland have spoken. No right-thinking person will recommend secession as a solution to any problem in any region. Immoderation destroys. Let us all learn from the tragic story of Republic of Southern Sudan. Prior to the country’s independence, the late John Gerang’s Sudanese People Liberation Army and other so-called freedom fighters regaled the people with stories of prosperity and justice once it became an independent country. They got the independence, but few months after, Southern Sudan is worse than what it was in the bigger Sudan. Massacre, hunger, disease, poverty and malnutrition now pervade the land, no thanks to a gruesom e fratricidal war that cropped up few months after independence. Suddenly, they are no longer brothers. This is food for thought for all of us this morning.

ESDKING:
No he's not bigger than Jesus, he's bigger than the fake prophet that promised his gullible followers 72 virgins.

No amount of propaganda can weaken the agitation. We were told to expect more propaganda against Kanu, so this is not a surprise. An iddiot from the wasted land opened an account and typed rubbish and you guys are very dumb not to know that he's trying to be mischievous.

Same thing is happening in this forum. Since Ipob. declared that there won't be an election in Anambra, all nairalandres automatically become Anambrarains shouting "we must vote come Nov 2017" all in a bid to frustrate the order. Funny enough that some of those iddiots have not crossed Niger bridge.

Fooolishness is an incurable disease.
the way you speak now, you and a terrorist who is better? The way you speak signifies someone who does not have the fear of God, so you and the person that said kanu is more than Jesus. What is the difference between you and him
