Igbo land is the most dangerous place to live as an Igbo man.

That cesspit corner of Nigeria is the most crime ridden place in Nigeria .

Even Wike stated it clearly that criminals terrorizing his State are mostly from the SE.

At one time Igbos were even afraid to go to their Hamlet's for Christmas because of armed robbers and kidnappers.

Go to any police station in the East and see how Igbos are using the police station to get even on themselves through outright slander , false accusations and whatnot.

An Igbo man is the best customer for the police as they are either the complainant or accused.

The average Police man lobbies to be posted to the east as they are sure to make it big over there.

PoliticsRe: FBI Behind Magu's Sack by APCHaram(op): 12:09pm On Jul 15, 2020
To assume Malami of all people is going after Magu over corruption and extortion is the height of naivety.

Malami is the same person that wants to hand Abacha loot to Kebbi governor.

Same Malami is chasing shadows by hounding the NNPC legal secretary over P&ID scam while ignoring the then NNPC GMD, Balindo who so happens to be the current OPEC and close Ally to Buhari and the Cabal.

Magu is a sacrificial lamb.

The US govt had threatened to unveil sanctions against the Buhari govt if Magu was not relieved of his duties and prosecuted .

Salami is just there to conduct a sham side show.
PoliticsFBI Behind Magu's Sack by APCHaram(op): 12:01pm On Jul 15, 2020
The only reason Buhari had to relieve Magu as EFCC boss was because of a damning FBI report which the US govt used to pressure Buhari to have Magu sacked and investigated.

The investigation is all a farce as Justice Salami will eventually end up brushing up all the dirt on Magu under the rug.

The FBI got totally fed up with Magu's shennegens when the EFCC began dragging Hushpupi with them.

The FBI had known Magu as not a law enforcer but a crime regulator who had frustrated and shielded suspects involved in cybercrime, money laundry and corruption.

MetaPhysical:
A head that has worn the crown of kingship remains a crown head forever. A crown head does not lose status, in life or in death.

So when a king abdicates, which is voluntary....or is dethroned, which is involuntary, what happens to him afterward?

The first thing is the thought of replacement. There are always eligible candidates to take over kingship. Beyond that, there is dilemma of having two living crown heads reside in the same domain. No matter the goodwill between them there will be clash of interests amongst loyalists.

To forestall issues and attendant disorders, abdicated and deposed crown heads are viewed as natural rivals to the sitting Monarch and kept separate and away in exile.

A deposed crown head can no longer act or see himself in the role of ordinary citizen. This is forbidden. He retains privilege of a crownhead and subsidized by the government. He cannot look for job but he can chair public and private institutions for compensation and can lobby.

In history, and typically, deposed kings have been in advanced age. They are past productive age and remain exile and in retirement feeding fat on government purse till they die.

In the case of Sanusi, he is still young, productive and cerebral. Could he go into academic field and teach University, or join a policy think tank, chair some corporate boards?

His banishment to Nassarawa and the costs of living in Nassarawa will be on Kano Govt. The arrangement will continue till death with privileges of crown head intact....unless if he chooses to pursue his own interests and earn money privately....at which point he could go anywhere that pleases him but all his privileges will be stripped in that case.

He can never enter Kano again, unless first pardoned. If he does he could be arrested. He will only go to Kano on two occassions, honoring an invite by the Kano Govt or an invite from Kano Emir and the Emirate Council.
[/s]

Ganduje has shown that the Emir is a political appointment.

A monarch that is answerable to a tenured elected politician is no monarch abeg.

The case of abdication and dethronement only applies for real sovereign heads with real powers that constitute a threat to their successor.

PoliticsBuhari Exempts Tariffs On Animal Feed by APCHaram(op): 5:17pm On Mar 10, 2020
Nah crase man be this

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) has asked the National Assembly to exempt animal feed from the list of items that would attract payment of the Value Added Tax.

He stated this in a communication read on both chambers of the federal parliament by the presiding officers, Messrs Ahmad Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila, on Tuesday.

Buhari specifically asked the apex legislative institution to amend the recently approved Finance Bill 2019 to accommodate the exemption.

The letter read, “Pursuant to Sections 58 and 59 of Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria1 999 (as amended), I formally request that the Finance Act, 2019 (Amendment) Bill, be considered by the Senate, for passage into law.

“This Bill seeks to amend the Finance Act, 2019, as recently passed by the National Assembly”

The bill clarified that the administrative effective date for the increase in Value Added Tax from 5 per cent to 7.5 per cent was February 1, 2020.

Buhari drew the attention of the lawmakers to the fact Animal Feeds have been included in the list of basic food items that are exempted from VAT.

He also said that aspects of the existing tax holiday incentive for agriculture should be targeted at small and medium-sized companies.

Such firms should be those that invest in primary crop, livestock, forestry and fishing agricultural production.

He said the incentive would also be administered by the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission pursuant to the Industrial Development (Income Tax Relief) Act.

Buhari said the amendment would help to support the implementation of the 2020 Federal Budget.

PoliticsPresidency Backs Ganduje On Sanusi's Dethronement by APCHaram(op): 10:51am On Mar 10, 2020
The Presidency has reacted to the dethronement of Muhammed Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano, noting that sitting governors could exercise powers over royal institutions within their jurisdiction.

Sanusi was unanimously deposed on Monday by the Kano State Government led by Governor Umar Ganduje, who immediately announced a replacement for the former Governor of the Central Bank while he was banished and quickly whisked away.

The PUNCH reports that one of Sanusi’s senior lawyers, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), said the dethronement was reversible.

Reacting to the development on Tuesday, Tolu Ogunlesi, one of the media aides of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), said, “A sitting governor can dethrone anybody – they have the power. That is the way the system is set up. Nobody is above being dethroned. Governors formally appoint them, present them the staff of office and fund their offices”.

He said governors have veto powers over monarchs in their states citing Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, who “paraded Rivers traditional rulers recently and addressed them like a kindergarten class”, adding; “that is the power a governor has over royal institutions. Every governor. It actually didn’t start today, it has been so for a long long time”.

The Special Assistant to the President on New Media further stated that the dethronement of a monarch in the capacity of the Emir of Kano was not new, adding that Sanusi’s fate was not only peculiar to the northern part of the country.

“British deposed Obas of Lagos/Benin 1851/1897; Alake temporarily deposed by 1948 women’s riots; Awo deposed Alaafin 1955; Olowo deposed 1966; Edo Milad tried to remove Oba of Benin as Chair, State Trad Rulers Council 1999; Deji of Akure deposed 2010,” Ogunlesi said in a flurry of tweets.

PoliticsRe: Reno Omokri Reacts To Sanusi's Dethronement As Emir Of Kano by APCHaram: 9:02pm On Mar 09, 2020
saaron:
Like I said in the other thread, I don't give a crap about what happens in fulani kingdom. They can fight and dethrone themselves for all I care. It's their bloody northern fulani islamic problem, not Nigeria.
However, I'm not surprised that Sanusi was detroned. In the first place, Aminu Ado Bayero was/is the rightful heir to the throne, not Sanusi.
Sanusi's enthronement as emir of Kano was based nothing but a political consideration to spite GEJ and water down his govt's influence in the north as 2015 presidential elections approaches.
Sanusi allowed himself to be used by GEJ's political opponents. They used him extensively to discredit the then PDP govt and make them unpopular by throwing out unbelievable figures that huge sums of dollars amouting to billions have disapeared from the vault. But Sanusi, who at that time was under investigation for financial impropriety in CBN by the Financial Intelligence of Nigeria made this sporious allegation of missing cash to save himself. Of course Sanusi's investigation by the then govt was immediately given a political coloration by the opposition APC who claimed Sanusi was being persecuted for raising alarm over alleged missing $20 billion. An allegation even Sanusi himself could not defend as he gave out conflicting figures when interrogated by the Senate.
After Sanusi's suspension as CBN gov by the then president GEJ to allow for smooth Investigations on Sanusi's financial activities in CBN (Remember the N100 million CBN money Sanusi gave out outrightly to Kano IDPs?), the opposition, who at that time were solidly behind Sanusi for politics of course came up with a plan. How can they save Sanusi from investigation and possible prosecution by GEJ's govt? Royal office was the solution. Give Sanusi royal office. Since royal office holders in Nigeria are hardly investigated or prosecuted for corruption no matter how bloody corrupt they're based on Nigeria's corrupt feeding bottle system, the opposition led by Kwankwaso who was Kano gov at that time decided to make Sanusi a royal office holder. Almost immediately, Sanusi was announced by the Kano state gov, Kwankwaso as the new emir of Kano.
All this was done to save Sanusi from prosecution and spite GEJ govt who incidentally at that time were lobbying for Aminu Ado Bayero to be made emir of Kano. Now Aminu Bayero is the new emir of Kano. Turns out GEJ's govt were supporing the right candidate.
Well, now with Sanusi dethrone, I guess the corrupt alliance the then APC opposition saints had with him has expired.
Sanusi is nothing but a bloody corrupt fellow who used the ''Royal Office'' antidote to save himself from prosecution.
ONE NIGERIA IS DEAD!
Aminu Bayero was the first nominee on the list sent by the District heads for Kwankwaso's confirmation and appointment.

Sanusi was a distant 4th on the list.

Kwankwaso then did a Tanko and voila, Sanusi became the Hope Uzodima Emir of Kano.

All to spite Jonathan.
