I spent exactly #168,500 for course registration and exam. + #7500 for NOUN form , the information i am giving u now is still available in my portal and i want to thank u for asking me this question, as i have told u before, i never think of having this record but when i saw your question, i login to my portal to find out the amount spent so far, but other expenses like transportation, feeding and downloading are excluded but if u need the rough estimation, i will say those one are less than #60,000.00. Registration is going on, no deadline now, but make sure u register before registration for exam commences. Exam registration may likely be around November/December, please note , i am not sure because i am not working for NOUN, my speculation is base on my past experience. Ok u say experience is the best teacher. |

On Exam.I must be sincere with u, if u are the type that cannot read or u are looking for short cut such as exam. malpractice, i will say National Open University is not for u. The reason is clear. You must be prepared to read the course materials. For 100 level to 200 level except law students, u are to use computer for exam. But this is not difficult even if u have not seen computer before, those of us that have passed through the system will show u the way to do it. It is very simple or i will say as simple as A,B,C. But you must be prepared to read the course materials. The course materials are written in such a way that you can easily read and understand. If u find it difficult my device will take u through.check this link nounonlineexam.classifiedsadvert.com, exam carry 70% while TMA carry 30%, u must score atleast 50% in both exam. and TMA before u can pass for postgraduate students and 40% for undergraduate students.is that clear? if u score 30/30 in TMA (test) and u fail exam. that means failure. For 300 level and above , your exam. will be in pen and paper, essay type, just like the one taken place in convectional university, but the trick is that if u can follow the course material at the end of each unit try to answer the question that follow, then exam. questions cannot go beyond that but if u are not yet satisfied, u still need somebody to drill u, then u can contact me for that(07066369302), Yes, i am a professional teacher, i had my foundation in science and later cross to Management, the only area i use to find difficult is law and accounting, i have some professional Colleagues who can handle that. 1 Like |

TMA is design to make the students cover their course materials, i strongly advice students to carefully print out their TMA and take time to fill in the correct answers. if u are getting less than 60% in TMA that is the beginning of failure , students should always work toward 95%. One of my student recently bought me a big standing fan last month because she was able to follow my instructions. After the exam she do the grading and she discovered that she had passed.I used her TMA to cover her syllabus for MATH 104, before TMA i make sure i cover some aspect syllabus by using the course material(MTH 104) and when the TMA is out i make sure she did the TMA by herself and i go through before submitting the TMA. The first TMA she got 20, second 18, third 20 and the fourth 18, the best three is equal to 29/30. This is a person who was saying ,she can never pass math. |
Education / Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by apeelewuetu: 9:26pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
Your study centre will attach u to a supervisor who will guide u through, i was attached to supervisor, after a series of discussion , i was directed to write a project proposal and i come up with 85 pages and my supervisor said apeelewuetu u are a computer Guru, he also directed me to produce validity and reliability which will only take 2 lines in my project and i come up with 35 pages using computer to compute Spearman correlation and series of calculation using excel. But most mistake students made while writing project is that they believe they can do it on their own without making consultation or working online, it is possible to have research assistance apart from supervisor to make the work easier. |
Education / Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by apeelewuetu: 9:11pm On Sep 23, 2012 |
About project, initially u are to submit 3 topics to your study centre and that will be sent to headquarter (Lagos) in which one of the topic will be approved. But now due to logistic problems, the selection of topic and approval is now limited to study centre so that the supervisor can have a say in the topic but note i am not 100% sure because i am not working for NOUN, I am just a student like u. but the most important thing or information u need is how do u go about project and finish in time. Using my own for example. To be continue in few minutes. |

About the number of years i spent in NOUN, well, u will do the calculation yourself, my admission letter read 9/10/2010 and finished my programme 26/6/2012. People do asked him how many years i spend in NOUN particularly my co -workers but it look difficult for me to say 2 or 3 years since the whole programme look like 3 days.Infact, i should have spent less than that if i have seen someone to put me through like the one i am presently doing now. In my first semester i did only 7 courses, later i discover there is opportunity to register more courses, but it was too late because of exam. also , initially the programme was schedule to last 2 semester but later another semester was added as result of additional courses but since we are determine and ready to do whatever it require , i think that has given us courage to finish in time. But let me quickly say that some of mates are still battling with some of the courses as a result of carryover but i think they are not putting what it require, well if u still need more detail , just flash me on 07066369302. |
