Please can those who are currently on scholarship assist us with the study materials and area of concentration for the exams. I applied for Petroleum Engineering and would be very grateful if some one assisted.

I have not been paid December stipend. Please guys what could be the reason for this? I have cheched my account number and bvn and they are both okay on the website.

posting came out in plateau state since wednesday. I hope they will keep their promise to give us computing devices.

some persons were paid in Osun state yesterday but my wife has not been laid yet. I hope there are others with the same complain. I don't really understand why the payment has to be in batches

Okay nairalanders. Now that we are through with the online registration, lets discuss the format of the examination proper. Can those that know tell us
1. How many questions were asked last year
2. Duration of the exams
3. nature of the questions (eg. more of calculations or theory or equal blend)
4. Is calculator allowed?
Also, for Petroleum Engineering (Msc). What area should I focus more on? Thank you

Y NOT , WHEN AN NCE, ND holders are applying when only a graduate with an NYSC certificate the only qualified candidate

that is NOT TRUE. My sister who has an NCE was succesfully screened. Read the story again and know why some people were disqualified.

The Minister of State for Petroleum, Mr. Ibe Kachikwu, has inaugurated the Ikwe-Onna Modular Refinery in Akwa Ibom State.
Kachikwu, who commended the promoters of the $50million refinery, said the Federal Government was ready to support any private sector-driven venture.
Governor Udom Emmanuel and Science and Technology Minister, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu and others witnessed the opening.
The governor lauded the management of the refinery for supporting his vision to industrialise the state.
The Chairman, Foreign Direct Investment Committee, Mr. Gabriel Upkeh, represented the governor.
He said: “Government’s role is to provide social services and a conducive environment for industries to thrive. When the refinery is completed, it will provide employment and open up the area for other economic benefits.”
He urged youths in the community to cooperate with the contractors handling the project.
“We have endeavoured to keep our campaign promises by executing some laudable projects in infrastructure, agriculture and other areas,” he added.
Onu, who was also represented by an official of the Technology Incubation Centre, Mr. Ini Nya, urged those interested in refinery business to follow the due process set by the Federal Government.
The managing director of the company, Mr. Daminago Ogaji explained that: “The refinery is 100 per cent owned by the Niger Delta and would serve as a Federal Government’s model for the entire area.
Ogali explained: “It is starting with a capacity of 5,000 barrels per day (BPD) and would be increased to 20, 000 barrels in its midterm until its target of 100,000 bpd is achieved.
“The model is different because we have brought in the community as co-partners who would be given 10 per cent of the company’s profit.”
On the issue of militancy, he explained that the local community was made a part owner to enable them work as a family.
“We also intend to train the local boys because a local content developed company would be set up to produce about 80 percent of the materials needed for the operations,” he said.
He explained that tank farms and pipelines are some of the things that would be produced locally, leaving about 30 per cent of the needed materials to be sourced from outside the state.
Chairman of the company, Bassey Rex, said: “The refinery would support the state’s government efforts to develop the state.

Yeah, I also saw the same problem, but I just went back to my profile and edited it by filling the field again with my higher institution and it has stayed ever since

Please did you notice the problem before or after submitting?

Same thing happened to me. Well, since i am sure it was there before i clicked on submit button the first time, i simply added it again. I dont think there will be any negative implication to that since i simply updated an information without submitting again. Cheers!

For the test....indianbix.com is a very good resource for training...I am not guaranteeing word for word questions....but for electrical....going through the tests on the site refreshed my memory....and some formulas and analysis techniques hidden in my latent memory were unearthed..

That said...for the general question...study a mix of indiabix with GMAT...... excluding verbal....but including spatial analysis.....

Don't prepare for the test expecting word for word repetition of questions....prepare as if you really want to understand the underlying concepts in whatever you read....

The HR did not give specific timetable as per response or feedback....
