Hajia Rokiatu I bet they 'll look good on you unless your not endowed ![]() |
Since you asked Yes I do work my brother and I own couple furniture stores here in New York city and we import fish products Sorry to hear you are not working but remember after every hardship there is an ease It is great pleasure to meet you here at least you and I can have civil exchange of views even if we don't agree as for performing salat I m not the hypocrite type I am very skeptic about religion and it's role in people life even though I respect people belief and tradition and for some reasons I feel more close to the African culture than the Arab one African are more open genuine and happy while Arabs are just the opposite ![]() |
Lol I don't know what to say and where to start I know the importance of salat for Muslims and the fact that being the first ibadah ( act of worship ) after shahadah the verses are countless from the first chapter of Quran Albaqara(the cow) to the last chapters also I know in Al bukhari Hadith narrated by Anas Ibn Malik the first thing the Muslim would be asked after his death is salat and when The Angel Malik the warden of he'll fire asked those who are in sakar(which is the worst of the seven levels of hell fire according to Quran) they (kuffar) answered we were not praying Bro I was brought up in very religious Muslim family my siblings and I were born in France raised in Saudi Arabia Germany Russia Brazil south Africa Egypt Senegal Ghana Ivory coast and united Arab Emirates the nature of the job of my Dad who was diplomat made us more exposed and accepting of different cultures unlike many of our friends and family members In North Africa after many thinking I came to the conclusion that Muslims and mostly Arabs are missing enjoyement of this life due to the fact that they barricated themselves behind a set of norms and dogmas rigid and intolerant which make me think they are heading the wrong way |
@Ileke Idi sorry for the misunderstanding I meant by ''our culture'' The Arab culture and not The Nigerian |
Thank you for your advice and kindness You give hope that some good Muslims like you still there to Chakula sorry for derailing your thread and to Azharuddin maybe we can catch up on new thread |
Hey in our culture women don't wear them first time I saw them when I was in Senegal I thought It was a Senegalese thing until later I saw NigerianS Ghanaians and even African Americans wearing them men I love them it's a big turn on for me just seeing them on any dark skin black woman give me big hard on |
I lost faith in Muslims I believe Islam starts as very progressive religion that emphazise social justice equality between all people regardless of gender race or social status Islam also is a family oriented religion which make of the respect of the parents siblings and family one of the main aspects but today extremism took over most MuslimS nowdays are cheaters hypocrites terrorists and have no respect for human life |
@ azharuddin It's just because I ' m not a religious or practicing Muslim I 'm amaze how some people on this section think that praying in congregation is mandatory while it is only Sunna according to the four sunni schools of thought the only mandatory prayer in congregation is Jum'ah and only for men |
Arab and African men can't do without Toto ![]() |
Last two posters your attitudes were same ones I was talking about |
@zayhal let say if you pray isha and you forgot how many rakaat you have done just complete the four rakaats and perform Baadi 2 sajda(prosteration) after you have said Assalamu Alaykum and finished your Salat you don't have to do over your salat as Hajia Uplawal suggested and on other hand if you remember during your salat that you forgot to recite Surat or omitted tashahud or any of the Sunna you can make it up by performin Qabli ( which is two sajda (prostration) before you say assalamu alaykum at the end of your prayer btw I don't pray myself but I am very versed in fikh(Islamic Law) ![]() |
Hey fellow Nigerians what papers work or licence I need to operate a furniture business in Lagos or Abuja considering I am not Nigerian any info will be helpful |

Manners are very important some people are just rude like men who jump in the elevator before women or seat next to you in restaurants trains planes without permission but the worse is not having table manners and etiquette |
blah blah I Hate those saudi clerics the Muslim world would 've been better if Saudi Arabia were invaded instead of Irak |

Khutbas means Sermons |
So what kind of opinions you fart? if you are not Nigerian don't bother يا هند ي |
@ Ifyalways When I said people are scared I meant Parents Teachers and Imams cuz they all reticent to discuss sex issues and worse the Imams instead of using their khutbas for education reasons they use it to blame the west and non Muslims for their problems Muslims will not part from the victim mentality and that why they still lacking behind |
When I say Nigerian Muslims I mean Hausa /Fulani and Yoruba I sense that they are not as cool as Igbo Efik Edo Calabari or Ijaw and believe me I have met more than one |
