Please I want to know the best engine oil for my Mitsubishi Carisma 1998 model. Though I don't have the owner manual but I believe I can get contribution from you guys. My Mechanic told me to buy Total or AP visco etc.

Pls kindly advise me on the correct Engine Oil for Mitsubishi cars. Also ATF oil for Mitsubishi car.

Please my Mitsubishi Carisma 1998 gear do give a sound whenever I engage the Reverse R. But if I take to Drive D, no sound.

This started yesterday and my Mechanic check the ATF oil which was ok and other things under the car, he conclude that there's nothing wrong and that I can be using it like that.

What can cause that sound whenever I want to reverse the car?
