Christmas has a fixed date.

You guys will use moon sighting to declare public holiday. The system of islam is not compatible with Nigerian education sector.

Can you allow sense rule over nonsense at this
time?
Have you asked yourself,if there were Muslim student in that schools and have journeyed home for the holidays declared by the government and a test/exam was conducted in their absence and you say it is okay..
I remembered during my school days,we had this surveying lecturer who is a sabbatarian and will not fix his class on a Saturday because of his faith and fixes class on Sunday and expected us to leave church to attend..

We called his bluff and that Sunday classes ended afterwards

TechCapon:
no need for all these wahala. Banks are using AI Chatbots now to do all these simple tasks. Zenith bank is using ZIVA while UBA is using LEO. Just look for the AI Chatbot your bank is using and chat it up on Whatsapp. You can do anything from getting account statements, linking BVN/NIN, opening accounts, send money, buy data, etc.
I just linked my NIN just chatting LEO from UBA and under 30 seconds my NIN is linked. Good thing is when you link it to the bank you created your BVN, it gets automatically linked to all your bank accounts linked to that BVN. information is power.

abeg lemme goan eat my afang soup jor, no be me vote bulaba grin

I have chatted Leo since 11am,till this very minute I haven't gotten a reply from Leo

Tears is streaming from my eyes as I type this!
On a shining and smiling Saturday afternoon,my late wife was having labor cramps, took her to the hospital hoping to be back with my bundle of joy,but it turned out to be a sad Saturday for me,a traumatizing one for that matter, she had a still birth ,few hours my little princess died, was called in NY the nurses to notify me of it,I held my little princess by my arms talking to her lifeless body ,telling her daddy loves her, that she will be back to be with us,boom, there came the shocker, that my wife was bleeding profusely, ran to blood bank bought blood they started transfusion,it was dripping off her body and ran back again for another blood same thing ,for like 8times and bought oxygen,1:45am I was called in to see the plae and lifeless body of my wife.

My whole world turned blank that minute,I heard voices from great beyond my heart beat raised like one running for a marathon.

She left me with our son who is 3yrs plus now.I couldn't cry even after her burial, thank God for an observatant aunt of mine who insisted I go to the hospital after the burial, for the first time I cried in the arms of the doctor,my air ways was freed and the heart papitation I was battling was arrested.

Oh ! Death won't take the trade, even then I offered.Lost 2 beautiful souls within a twinkle of an eye.

agbolahan1991:
Yes
But it may not be up to your desired standards and it will also require a lot of your time and energy
Blocks will be 6inches
The floor plans will be without a dining and just one toilet. The roofing will be a flat roof with 1.2 meter height to cover the flat roof
Also the nature of the land must be put into consideration. It as to be a rocky, gravel like nature of land so as to avoid a deep footing foundation; with a two couch foundation and a 6inches block, 1mm window frame, or sliding window, ply wood ceiling , and 1 inches thickness of plastering
I am the Director of MURF/DISTINCT CONSULTANTS(Architecture, Construction and Engineering )
Below are some of our design and construction works

So in this modern era you are advising someone to do 2 courses foundation,1mm thickness of window frame, ply wood ceiling and 1" plastering thickness..

Haba,I expect better from you.Tell the Op the truth, for a comfortable 2bedroom design, that amount can only take him to a certain level..

Don't build any house that won't have aesthetic and economic value ,in case you want to sale it in future

Family / Re: Is My Family Truly Cursed Or Not? by arcnomec(m): 4:07pm On Jan 20
JaskTime7:
Good day all..

Trust we're all doing great?

I am from a nuclear family of seven, five children and my two parents. I and my siblings grew up in Lagos. My dad is a land surveyor while my mum a petty trader. We all attended public school in Lagos (elementary and high school) I'm the third child of 5 children. I am my elder siblings had to hawk immediately we returned back from school before we could eat. Including my mum. My dad wasn't getting job but we had to survive. We were a laughing stock then in our neighborhood. We later advised our mum to put her goods in bag instead of tray, then supply to her customers. We were selling quick oat, butter, toothpaste et al. We got the goods on credit through someone and pay back after sales. We realized the profit wasn't sustainable, then we consider alternative means. We hawk during weekdays and wash cars and motorcycle weekend. With that we were able to pay our accommodation fee (a single room), put food on our table to some extent and other miscellaneous fee.

We've been on this for years. The landlord later gave us quit notice having realized we could no longer put up with the accommodation fee. My family moved into a friend's house. He lived in a room and palor. He gave us a room to live while him and his family lived in the other room. We were able to raised money after two years and rented an apartment (a single room) then moved in

My eldest brother (first child) was hit by a car when he was washing a customer's bike, he was rushed to a nearby hospital but we eventually lost him. We had to stopped the work because of that particular iccident. After several months of searching, i and my elder brother were able to get a factory work. I had plan of saving all my money with the hope of furthering my education, but family responsibility wouldn't allow me save. I later had a change of mind going to police academy, from my research, it was a free school and one would be absorbed as an ASP officer, that's automatic employment. I sat for jamb and the school post jamb at police college Ikeja, Lagos. I was shortlisted for final screening at wudil Kano. Unfortunately, i couldn't make it. I don't have much money to get the needed materials and transportation fee. It was a sad experience for me.

I continued working, but this time around, i wasn't supporting the family with all my money. I had some savings. My supervisor advised me to further my education. He claimed i can't continue this job throughout my lifetime. I took jamb the following year and got admission. I bought bike (motorcycle) with the little savings i had after paying my tuition fee and other necessity. I gave out the bike as Higher purchase. The bike man delivered six thousand naira weekly until the bike become his. I didn't get accommodation in school because i couldn't afford it. I was squatting with friends. My elder brother enrol for part time program. During holiday i often rushed down home to find something doing that could fetch me some money.

I realized my elder brother was stealing company's goods with his friends. I gave him serious warning to stop that but he wouldn't listen. I was forced to tell my parents but he denied it. I was in school when my younger brother called me that my elder brother has been arrested with his friends. After the investigation, police demanded for a million naira before he would be released. I learnt the company management has let go the case. My elder brother has been behind bar for more than 7 years now without a way out. We can't say if he's alive or dead. I saw one of his friends mid last year, and he told me most of his friends had been released having met the condition of the police officer. I'm done with school but couldn't secure a job. I've gotten to the final stage of some organization, I've done medical test but i wasn't called up. My younger brother has finished his high school since 2019 but couldn't further his education. He's very talented in playing football. My little sister finished her high school last year and the little girl was asking if she could take jamb. My dad has been seriously ill for some days now but no means of getting him drugs nor taking him to the hospital. I fear for my dad at this moment. My family struggled daily before we could have a square meal. My mum has prayed, cried, fasted nothing changes. She was saying it could be a family course. My family is gradually going into extinction.

@ OP, please there is this popular saying that goes like this" love look what you made me do" , please don't get to that point of your life that you will use this.

Genotype doesn't change, but phenotype changes, these are two different things entirely.Let someone who is AA not come here and decieve you about gene mutation.

We are not technologyically advanced for that here, even if we are,it cost a hell lot of money to do any procedures on foetus.

I know it is hard, but there are times when it is better to say am sorry and leave than to say am sorry and stay.

Despite the claim of winning 21 out of 25 local governments, the margin between the first and second positions is within 100,000 votes. Today, we will uncover the actual truth, exposing any instances of rigging.

In Nigeria court as at today,it is very difficult to proof rigging in an election.Just rig your way in and the court will validate your election

Dude, they speak IGBO....a dialect of the Igbo language, just like every other part of Alaigbo! I have no problem with them getting a epiphany after the uncivil war and declaring they're no more Igbo but now a 'distinct' ethnicity of their own! Like i said, to each his own! Goodluck to them!

What's your own ethnicity by the way? I'm from Ndoni....next door to Ogba!

If you're truly from Ndoni and say Ogba speak Igbo then you really need to get your head examined.
I'm a full blooded Omoku man and I can tell you for a fact that we don't speak it,but Ogba language

You are the one with no insights about what you are saying.

Bamboo have higher tensile strength than iron rods?? You should be arrested for this? Your certificate if you’ve got one need to be withdrawn. The man constructing this building should be banned from building sites.

Please don't comment on issues you have far reaching knowledge about.Bamboo is very high in tensile strength than steel.
All that is required is to have a rich concrete mixture for it and the bamboo treated accordingly and you have yourself a good slab that can carry the weight of the load already calculated to be superimposed on the slab.

From today your prepaid meter will start reading at the new tarriff

Bro,calm down.Unit consumption don't work that way.If you have old units in your meter and the new tariff increment comes onboard, your old unit will have to be exhausted and you purchase a new unit before it can take effect.

Don't forget that tariff increment is on units purchased not units consumed in perpaid meter
