hello guys

I am using 3 sittings as in 2 WAEC and One GCE ... so my date of birth on one of the WAEC result is 1986 while my date of birth on the 2nd WAEC is 1985 and on the other GCE my date of birth is 1987 .. so now my date of birth on NYSC is 1984 and I don't know where the mistake is coming from though my real date of both is 1994 ... what can I do please .... thanks in advance ...

I am 100% sure of what I'm saying, I am not talking about those that actually graduated above 30+ like your cousin that is D.O.B when calculated with his year of graduation. those ones need to falsify their age to serve.

I am talking about those whose year of Graduation when calculated with their D.O.B is less than 30, but decided to go and register for service when they are 30+, they do not need to falsify their age, according to the Law of Nigeria. Which is cited below from NYSC's website:
"With effect from 1st August, 1985, a person shall NOT be called upon to serve in the service corps if, at the date of graduation or obtaining his diploma or other professional qualification" :

He is over the age of thirty (30) years
He has served in the Armed Forces of the Federation or the Nigeria Police Force for a period of more than nine months; or
He is a member of staff of any of the following:

The Nigerian Security Organization or
The State Security Service, or
The National Intelligence Agency or
The Defence Intelligence Service
He has been conferred with any National.

My own issue is that its only on my WAEC cert that 1988 was wrongly used as my DOB instead of my true 1989 DOB.. While doing my NYSC reg it was my true 1989 DOB that came and I did the registration.. Its till Monday I'll be able to contact my school... Though I don't have birth cert, but an Affidavit instead... Are my issues similar to yours?

They didn't falsify their age, most of them graduated before the age of 30 and refused to serve and when they needed their NYSC certificate, they must have been informed that they graduated before the age of 30, so they can't be given certificate of exemption.
You don't need to falsify age to get NYSC certificate, if you're above 30 when you graduate you'd be given Certificate of Exemption.

It is the year that you graduated from school against your Date of birth that matters and not the year you registered
