The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has revealed its decision to downwardly review the monthly allowance of Corps Members by 25%. The Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Bamidele Oluwami made this known to newsmen after an emergency meeting at its headquarters in Abuja. On what prompted the decision, he explained that the current economic situation in the country coupled with its low allocation in the 2016 budget necessitated such decision. "We cannot afford to continue with the current payment we are making to youth corpers. The provision in the 2016 budget didn't allow for that. We are even owing 2 months allowance for batch b corpers" that we have not paid. He appealed to corps members to be patient as the country is going through tough times.

With this development, instead of the 19,800 monthly allowance, corps members will now receive 14,800 as monthly allowance.

The information goes like this if any uni/poly was given 2500 names to be mobilize by Nysc then they came with 3000 names they will slash the names but if ur school obey with the number given to them by next week check ur name on the portal it will be uploaded so not all school they are slashing

20,000 x 12 = 240,000 (corpers full year allowance)

270,000,000 / 240,000 = 1125

Imagine!
That is full year allowance for 1125 corpers

If you are left out, you will have to wait for 8months to get mobilised again , and if things don't improve and your cpi has large number you might still miss out till it gets to your turn. . .

in case u Dnt know, even if u av 30 PCM in d whole skul, u can't mobilize all. Wesley University as case study. out of about 200 PCM, we have 75 slots........ take note
