TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by area74: 7:49am On Oct 18, 2017
As advised by fellow nairalanders, I just checked my timeline on my WES account and the status read "we have received your documents, you do not need to do anything at this time" after faxing my degree certificate to them. I also initiated online verification with my school in order to fasttrack the process. Meanwhile, the school also charged me 6,000 for the verification.

Therefore, by the statement on my status, can I confidently say that WES has received my transcripts as well as having my certificate verified? This is happening just a week after paying to WES, applying to school for transcripts via courier, initiating online verification with the school.

The experienced ones, please guide accordingly.

Thank you.

Use hello fax to send to WES. Its a free online fax service
https://www.hellosign.com/products/hellofax

WES fax: 4169729004.

I used the details above, which I got from this thread to send my bsc certificate on Saturday to Wes. I wrote my name, reference number and document info on a sheet of paper and scanned with an android phone app. I uploaded the scanned sheet along with my scanned certificate and faxed to WES. WES acknowledged and accepted the document yesterday.

I and hubby had earlier spent money sending his certificates and my MSc certificate separately through FedEx. But this time around I sent my BSc for free.

Thanks to all the gurus who have been providing a wealth of information on this thread. God bless you all.
Thank you very much for this guide. I have followed the steps as stated and hoping that WES acknowledges the receipt. Many thanks to the poster above you as well. I sincerely wish we Nigerians can be of help to ourselves like this in our daily lives.

Great people of nairaland. I just started my own express entry dream. I have applied to WES for credential evaluation as well as requesting my school to forward my transcripts to them via UPS.

I need your assistance on how to fax the copy of my degree certificate to them electronically and if i am to write the WES reference number on the copy for easy tracking. People who have done it through this route should kindly help out.

Thank you.

Thank you all for the advises. As an accountant with more than 3 years of work experience, do I stand a chance of securing an accounting role in UAE? I look forward to a candid opinion from nairaland brothers and sisters.
TravelRe: Nigerians have good jobs in UK (enough Of Sad Stories) by area74: 10:32am On Sep 22, 2017
Thank you for this write up. I am an holder of an offer for MSc Accounting and Finance from the University of Aberdeen. Although, I have recently deferred my admission till next for me to save more money to cover my tuition and living expenses.

My question: how reputable is the University of Aberdeen to employers especially in my field Accounting and Finance.

Thank you

somebody:
@Zechy09, Aberdeen is actually one city that Nigerians should be proud of their success there because it is hard to see a layabout in Aberdeen. Its either you are studying, just finished studying or working professionally with one of the oil & gas companies.I know a lot of Nigerians in Aberdeen do quite well - I mean even Shell etc send their Nigerian staff on cross posting and provide housing etc so I know a lot of people live comfortably there. I know people can only relate to their own experiences but it irks me when people try to generalise and make it seem like everyone in the UK is suffering when that isn't the case.

How many Nigerians coming to the UK for a better opportunity take time out to do proper research on school reputation, career prospects for particular disciplines, work permit restrictions etc. I will be shocked if a Nigerian studied Petroleum Engineering at say Imperial College and can't have their pick of jobs in Nigeria or UK. Anyways, lets hope people coming to the UK learn to plan better. I always tell people if you can't afford a decent school in the UK, just forget it and don't waste your money because you will join a million other youths who already have a distinct advantage over you - no restrictions on their residency.

@I am Fenriz, sorry I don't know about IT jobs. I do know that a lot of Nigerian guys are IT contractors and make a decent salary but I don't know what certifications are required. You can do an internet search for vancacies for IT contractors and see what their requirements are.

Sir, have you tried all within your power to save your current or is it previous marriage? I'm saying this because I know there's no perfect person out there.
What if you get a new wife and she doesn't meet your expectations in other areas, what will you do?
Honestly, I am not in a rush to go into a new marriage. That's why I want it to start from being a mutual friend. Then, we will see what happens from there.

I can now understand why some single men don't consider marriage as the most important thing in their lives. Sometimes, you run up and down, making sacrifices here and there just to fend for the family and in the end, to the woman, you have still not done anything.

My advice to young or single men; if you ever notice your woman to be an ungrateful person who never look down to appreciate how God has elevated her from others but always looking and comparing your efforts to people above her and to crown it all, she nags, my brother, run for your life. If you go into that marriage in the name of emotion called LOVE, i pray that happiness does not evade you.

Honestly, I am not hear to make anyone feels so bad and paint myself to be the perfect one. One thing that I have learnt through experience and that destroys relationship/marriage so fast is when a woman nags; who always believe that she can stand up to her man on every issues.

Our cultures and religions teach women to be respectful to their husbands, unfortunately, our women have gone the western way and it is obviously not yielding desired results. No wonder we are now experiencing high divorce rate.

And now back to my earlier post, I simply realised that no matter how much we want to grandstand, a man still needs a woman who can support his ambition and always makes him feel like a winner in a troubled situation. You will realise that a man achieves faster when he has the full support and loyalty of his woman. No wonder the popular slogan, 'behind a successful man, there is a woman'. You can imagine my wife telling me that I may regret changing a job that owes salary of 3 months just because she wanted to stay closer to her family. I am not ready to pour out everything I went though in the marriage here.

The important thing for me is to get a matured woman that we can both understand what we want. If anyone experiences a troubled marriage, once you hear the word, you run.
