ahiboilandgas: how come the naira didn't gain any value when we stop importation of cement and rice ...and also ban 42 item To me there are many things attached to naira loosing value against dollars and not necessarily banning of items u mentioned below. People buy dollars almost everyday to keep and if am no wrong there is over 20bn dollars sitting in diff dom accounts doing nothing, if there is a policy which states that there is a limit of dollars people can have in their accounts, naira will surely regain it strength. My opinion though |

Mcy56: It also means the bus driver has eventually arrived the car park and throway the key. The passengers will stay for a lonnggg time in the bus. One day, if they're lucky like those in courtville's, they MAY see someone to locate the spare key and open for them but IF NOT ...... .......hhmmm. Advice: As a newbie, don't just buy anything you see on the Exchange (NSE) if you're not sure of it. Ask first. How would newbie learn? They must learn ooo all of us passed through the university of NSE faculty of hard knock department of burnt finger so let them learn last last they will come out as the best graduating students |

Donbrig: You guys should not write off our economy or naira yet. Lot of things will start happening as from 2020. You guys should be extremely careful with the buying of dollars. The importation of refined oil from overseas, causing huge demand for dollar is the biggest problem our naira and economy is having... Buhari will certainly put a ban on PMS anytime as from next year, and Dangote refinary will pick up with full effect, naira will experience unprecedented strength for the first time in decades. Most Domiciliary account holders will be compelled to maintain local account in naira.
High interest rates on t-bills might not be experienced anytime soon, rates might continue to reduce as our economy gets stronger and stronger with CBN encouraging more foods and goods to be produced locally, that's why CBN granted a whopping sum of 30billion naira to our local palm oil producers.
Nigerian oil marketers are already investing in our local sub refinaries in different states, because they have already seen the hand writing on the wall. In couple of months from now, business will no longer be as usual in Nigeria.
God bless Nigeria. That is why someone like Otedola opted out from down stream, he has seen the hand writing on the wall. I wished the very best for my country and for those buying dollars to me they can still continue to buy it all about taking risk to go higher |

Acidosis: The TBills vs. Business argument is not necessary. The money for TBills must come from a business or salary (someone else's business). Not in all cases sir as you stated abovementioned |

oluayebenz: I'm not actually getting what's trending over here...... Are you guys saying TB is better than doing business?
Business is still your best bet in Nigeria, you have 10m u invest in NTB your interest per year is around 1.2m and you think doing business wont yield more than twice of that? The main thing is dont go into any business you know nothing about.
And to the guy saying is bad running business from abroad, forget that...... some are doing it and making it big.
Treasury bill is just upgraded savings Oga, nobody is saying TB is Better than doing business what we are saying is, Tb gives rest of mind than taking business risk with a lot of headache. I will rather go for tb and have my peace than gambling in business with my hard earned money since I will not be there all the time to monitor things by my self. No matter how strong a dog is it can not watch over two separate houses the same time. If you can't be there your self then you have done charity for people but if you can be there your self then you are good to go am not talking theory, am talking from experience. For now am having my peace while mapping out strategies to launch out again in business but for now am ok. For tb and other investment like mmf and stocks I can have in come of 5m for a year so am ok for now than go into business and be nursing my pains again |

The analysis is done on weekly basis. The one posted is for current week. By next week some of the classification will change again. Sometimes, the results do baffle me too. But the chart (with our small fundamentals behind it) is like "the gods speaking" we have no option but to obey. For example, I am currently doing the calculation in my head, can't just I buy CCNN, I know the 2nd quarter result will look good or Nigeria Breweries when it was still in the NGN70 region, but alas by now, I would have been in more pain.
We need to develop the spirit of patience these days. Cifia pain oooo. ...... bolded is the watch word |

Plenty drama! |

freeman67: While I will say it is depends on the area you leave or buy your stuff, if I am give the prices of these items based on where I stay I will say this particular statement is completely false. Where I leave, in town a 25ltr of Palm oil is sold between N11500-13,000. while in the suburban markets you can get it between N9500-10500. Also no local rice sells for N6500 around here not even for the 25kg bag... In the town markets, malls and stores it is sold between N16,000-N19000 while you will it is sold from N15,000. sorry to coming, i just gave a friend 100k to start the red oil biz and the person told me they usually get it for 7k and sell it for 8k/25ltr at ikotunn market in Lagos |

stcool: You are asking me a question that you have an answer to...I met Nigeria this way and you want me to provide a solution to the pending currency crisis.
Instead of asking the clueless Next Level government to stimulate the economy and look for way to be less dependence on oil you are asking me question. Did you hear that I won any election?
How many days now since PMB was sworn in yet nobody knows the direction we are going, nobody is talking, zero policy guideline and you want a miracle to happen to your economy by CBN continuous artificial intervention in the currency market.
I will only look for how to profit from whatever the outcome is....this is my final answer to your question.
https://oilprice.com/Energy/Crude-Oil/Oil-Plunges-On-Fears-Of-Weak-Demand.html You want me to exchange words with you but never will I do that. Kudos to you for all you have itemized above. But one thing is certain and sure I will never say cos of selfish reasons I will support policy that worsten the poverty level of the citizens. That where I stand, during the first 4 years of the clueless govt, I made better money and by God grace I will still make better in the current cluelss 4yrs but for selfish reason to support policy of devaluation without much to export, mono economy, consumption economy and not a production economy! Never will I support such policy. All the same kudos to you for all you have said. |
