nonebutme: You don't get it. The so called report according to Punch, is a public document loaded on the website of the LASG procurement agency and there are several awarded and completed contracts on it. The report says its for 2013, so it may have been loaded on the website during Fashola's administration. They are duly awarded and completed projects. It is the media that is feasting on it now after the discovery of the website by BudgetIt. We are saying the same thing. |

nonebutme: Fashola is not being accused for anything. It is surprising that on one hand some of us call for transparency and openness in government and yet turn around to call it a witch-hunt. These projects are all approved and completed, hence there is no reason why LASG tenders board shouldn't put them on its website. It is left for those who see anything fishy to come out with their proof, rather than trying to set the former governor against his successor. They can not accuse him of anything because they know he did not steal anything or did anything wrong, this is cowardly and smear tactics just to rubbish his image. All they can do is and have been doing is Fashola spent this, Fashola spent that, but when are they going to get to Fashola stole this and that.? These are cowards and scumbags especially the new Orobo governor and errand boy... These are cowards and scum bag. |

[s] pazienza: Well, you have no option. It's one Nigeria for all, or no Nigeria at all.
You are not tolerating any Igbo man, you don't feed him, you don't give him your house and lands for free, he pays for all the services you render him, so what tolerance are you speaking of?
If you don't want to tolerate Igbos, the solution is simple, fast forward the timeline for your fate/ destiny/ final destination, ie Sharia Islamic republic of Arewa-Oduanistan.
You don't get to set the rules. [/s] You are boring me with your silly village rubbish.. |

Are you lots suffering from a kind of dissonance? You want "one Nigeria", but you at the same time want to keep your regions to yourselves, are you lots serious? What is this village bingo barking all over the place? The fact that I want 1 Nigerian doesn't mean people should tolerate your hateful, bigoted and warped way of life... pazienza: The Oba must be fully investigated, disgraced, stripped of any royal splendor, dragged to the mud and made example of by Ndiigbo, for the rest of Nigeria to know that hate speeches against Ndiigbo by political and traditional Nigerian leaders will no longer be tolerated by Igbos of this generation.
The 1966 massacre of Ndiigbo all over the country was built on the back of years of Igbo hate speeches propagated by Nigerian leaders like the Saraduna and his infamous anti Igbo speech, Akintola and his Igbophobic Yoruba Ronu speech, the Oba of Bini Igbophobic article, and so on.
Those speeches were left unchallenged by Ndiigbo, and the effect was nationwide acceptance of Igbophobia, which Nzeogwu coup only gave them an excuse to execute.
Never again, will Igbophobic utterances be left unattended. Oba or no Oba, any culprit must be dragged to the mud and disgraced, to deter future occurrence. You were slaughtered because drew the first blood in the history of Nigeria by slaughtering Hausa and Yoruba leaders and also because the ibo head of state refused to punish the cold blooded murderers because they were ibo just like him. You reap what sow... Olodo go and learn your own history. |

xtrorse: Lagos (in South West) was the capital of Nigeria from 1914 up to 1991, until Abuja officially became Nigeria's capital on 12 December 1991. It was on 14 November 1991, the Presidency and other federal government functions were finally relocated to the new capital city of Abuja.
Get informed and stop feigning stupid ignorance in the public domain as if it was the proceeds from cocoa that developed Lagos to its mega-status while belittling the immense contributions of virtually all the tribes in Nigeria and the ever free flow of petro-dollars from another man's backyard. Olodo, Nigeria wasn't a country in 1914, it was a colonial colony of the british empire. Lagos was a british colony and didn't become the capital of Nigeria as a country till 1960 after independence when Nigeria became a country. Lagos was a First Class Township and remained Nigeria's only such township and a self-governing municipality with its own mayor till independence in 1960. In 1959, on the eve of Nigeria's independence, Lagos City was designated a Federal Territory administered by a Council comprising elected representatives, as well as traditional chiefs appointed by government.. Even Lagos as the FC of Nigeria as a country was limited to Lagos Island. The industries and major commerce were in Apapa, Ikeja, Mushin, Ilupeju and so on. So, exactly what did the FG of Nigeria did in Lagos state to develop Lagos state especially when in fact their activities was confined to Lagos Island? You villagers need some history books and that's if you know how to read and comprehend.... |

Deal with that If Lagos is really a no man's land, then you should be able to step in and take over from the obaship to all the arms of government, all the traditional institutions, the dominant food and culture, media and entertainment, financial institutions, commerce and industries and so on.. You know the reason why you can not do all that? Because it belongs to the the owners and the folks in charge of Lagos state. Common sense dictates that you should be able to take what belongs to nobody, but you clowns just shout and wail idiotic slogans that you don't even know the meaning of.. Yoruba protest? Half- hearted - as usual. When MKO was deprived of becoming president, Youruba protested to wherever and to whoever, what was the outcome of Yoruba protest then? Null, void and to no effect. Last time we checked after June 12, you lying cowards forgot that Lagos was no man's land, you packed your load, your goats, your family and formed ekenedilishuku exodus back to your villages.. Do you clowns and cowards know who stayed in Lagos to defend Lagos? Lagosians/Yoruba people, the real owners. When Hausa people slaughtered over 60,000 ibo people up north exactly what did you do? You stayed and fight? No, you formed the same exodus like cowards and ran back to your villages? When Ojuku got his asss whooped nko? Exactly what did he do? RickyTan: Of course Lagos preceded oil but it was NOT the mega city that it has become. Today Lagos is probably the biggest city in all of AFRICA. We are all very proud of Lagos. Trying to exclude anybody is courting disaster and problems.
Lagos grew to Mega City status because of Nigerian oil resources and because it was Nigeria's capital. Just Like Abuja has grown because of Nigerian oil resources and because it is Nigeria's capital. Exactly what FG action built Lagos? Lagos as the FC was limited to Lagos Island only and the FG picked Lagos because Lagos was already developed way before Oil. People moved to Lagos for economic reasons because one Yoruba man named Obafemi Awolowo before the existence of Nigeria built industrial estates from Ikeja industrial estate to Apapa industrial, Matori and Ilupeju estates, Oodua group of companies and these investments are still produces a great chunk of Nigeria's goods and services. This is why people move to Lagos before and after oil Saying oil is responsible for anything in Lagos is like saying people moved to Lagos to trade in oil or to get oil jobs. That sounds very rettarded.. Exactly what did the FG did while in Lagos? They built 2 bridges and a Federal secretariat that they neglected and let rot and decay. They built bridges in other parts of the country so what did they do in Lagos. In fact let me ask you a question. What and who was feeding the whole of Nigeria before oil? Niger Delta? You villagers need to learn your country's history and quit spewing ignorant and unintelligent rubbish on NL. |

When ibo villagers begin hail Fayose a Yoruba man and start calling him their hero, you know there is a problem. When was the last time they labeled any ibo man their hero? Never, but Fayose in Yorubaland is their hero.. It means they don't have 1 single ibo man to be proud of, to look up to or call hero.
