Rotimi47: You most definitely be a local champion! How will a sane person compare what Akpabio did in akwa ibom to what Fashola did in Lagos? Lagos is 1million years ahead of akwa ibom in terms of development, almost every area in Lagos is going through one development or another. Every area have been touched in terms of development projects in Lagos which have the largest population & largest motorable roads network. Let forget politics & face reality; akpabio's achievement can only be said to be the best that PDP can lay claim to but APC has at least 3 APC governors/States that did better than the best PDP governor's & states. It better you get your facts right as akwa ibom receive a lot from the federal government & they have very little to show for it. I will rest my case by telling you that the total GDP of APC States before the election was by far higher than that of the entire PDP states combined even with all the our oyel(oil) that you people are known to chorus every time. Leave them alone, if they compare this scammer with Fashola one more time, I'll disgrace them... |

[s] notobs: Akpabio to commission 500 projects Five hundred, out of the over 4,000 life-touching projects of Governor Godswill Akpabio’s administration in Akwa Ibom State are slated for commissioning beginning Match 6.
A statement by the state Commissioner for Information and Communications, Aniekan Umanah, made available to our correspondent, indicated that the commissioning, which is expected to be carried out by Akpabio, will be proceeded by town hall meetings to interact with the people from the area slated for each day.
“The town hall meetings of His Excellency, Governor Godswill Akpabio, with Akwa Ibom people, across the 10 Federal Constituencies begins on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Eket Council Hall, Eket”, it read.
As a believer in participatory democracy, Umanah further said, Akpabio, apart from briefing the people on the achievements and progress so far made by his government, looked forward to using the meetings as veritable platforms to get feedbacks from the people, on the policies and actions of his administration since 2007.
He called on the people of Akwa Ibom to show appreciation for the participatory approach of Akpabio to governance by coming out en mass to bare minds on issues, as all members of the State Executive Council (SEC) would be on hand at each venue to provide appropriate answers to any question that may arise.
Other highlight of the constituency briefing, the commissioner said, would include the commissioning by Akpabio, of 500 completed year 2013 rural projects.
According to him, the 500 projects form part of the over 4000 lives-touching community projects executed across the 31 local government areas of the State by the Akpabio-led administration.
While the commissioning of projects are scheduled to hold between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon, the town hall meetings/constituency briefings will hold between 1. pm. and 4.pm, each day of the exercise, while calling on all stakeholders to attend and participate fully.

He is not perfect but he is one of the best if not the best governor in the last two administrations in Nigeria How many projects was commissioned by Akpabio and when was the last time he commissioned anything. Apart from the few roads and flyover in uyo, the only thing he completed in 8 years is 1 cinema and 1 football field. So, tell us where the largest budget in Nigeria went? |

forexexpert: Bastaard ... liar like you.
Mega projects take time to complete.
The issue is that Akpabio met a village state with absolutely nothing, No structures, nothing.
He had to start from scratch, unlike Lagos state that already had built up structures, Akpabio had to start from scratch.
All the above structures you said are uncompleted, will be completed by Udong Emmanuel and I believe most of them are over 80% completed.

And that's even an old thread because Fashola commissioned dozens of projects since while Akpabio remains silent for years and he's yet to commission anything since his last obsolete, unused and redundant football field... |
