Ikwokrikwo:
What an unbelievably stupîd logic.
Are you saying that if the Federal government decides to reserve the over 4000MW of electricity it currently generates for aso rock, federal agencies, hospitals and offices, those place will not be guaranteed uninterrupted power supply? Even 10% of the 4000MW will achieve that, but they aren't as selfish and pennywise pound foolish as your Fashola.
If the Federal govt decides to cut Lagos off its so called ''worthless'' grid today, what happens to the millions of homes and businesses in Lagos? Is it Fashola's 8 MW generators that will power them? Get yourself a brain.
With all the Federal allocations and IGR at his disposal for good 8 years, Fashola has not added a single Megawatt to the national grid.
[/s]

Fashola is obligated to the people of Lagos state and the Lagos state taxpayers that voted him into office and not all the silly, redundant and ignorant rubbish you are spewing...

Show me one single classroom your village governor commissioned since 1999 and I take you and your warped nonsense seriously..

You want to replace 48 small generators with a big 8MW generator.
Why should I be bothered?
Don't call such nonsense an IPP.
It is IPP, but you are free to call it whatever suits your ignorant mentality.

Now, this so called generator according to you guarantees 24/7 uninterrupted power supply to our hospitals, public infrastructures and institutions, the question is, can your president and FG guarantee any building in Nigeria uninterrupted power supply? The answer is no and it's never been don since independence. This is why Fashola is greater than your president and past president combined..

We see things differently. Maybe 16 years of keeping Arewa away from power to enable them come to terms with their humanity and mortality is worth more than 2nd Niger bridge.

In less than 5 years of core north losing presidential power can't you see the nation is re-calibrating? Don't worry about Boko Haram, its also part of weaning process - they'll get there and when they do they won't be needing 2% cut-off for unity school admission any longer.

I believe the only way we 'll be able to approach pseudo-nationhood given our bloody history is by seeing each other as a leg in this national table. The core north right now is not there yet but they sure will, else Arewanistan awaits them down the road.
No, we are saying the same thing. Tribalism and bigotry shapes your thinking and awareness. Tribalism and bigotry dictates your existence and relationship with other people hence your preoccupation with this dreaded disease while other people progress...

Abuja-Kaduna Rail Line is almost completed paid for via direct FG contract. Meaning the people of Nigeria are paying for it.

The Lagos Ibadan Express is under construction and paid for via direct FG contract. Meaning the people of Nigeria are paying for it.

The $1.53bn Lagos-Ibadan-Ilorin standard Rail project is under construction and paid for via direct FG contract. Meaning the people of Nigeria are paying for it.

Escravos to Lagos Pipelines System (ELPS) is almost done whit the second leg heading to Kano. How do you industrialize and develop in this modern age without gas pipelines to run your industries?

Now, the most important thing to you and the only thing you've been asking for which is the 2nd NB is still a dream and the only plan right now is to make sure ibo people pay for their own bridge via tolling? It means the people of Nigeria are not paying for it.

Have you asked yourself why GEJ is awarding and paying for major contracts and developing other places in Nigeria but when it comes to ibo people, it's repaint a warehouse and label it port, repaint some old airport and that's all..

You are paying a terrible price for tribalism and bigotry..

There's got to be more to you people than needless hate, bigotry and tribalism..

And how many of those castigating & writing endless article in national dailies(specially from southwest axis) against the igbos, for they support for GEJ did so during OBJ 8years reign that the igbos unflichingly supported him, with nothing in return?

Suddenly thesame people that hated, loathed & marginalized the igbos while in government have taken 360 degreeturn to remind us that we are not getting enough from the government of the day & hence should reconsider our stand...what an irony?, Anyways, does this people think that igbos are fools or suffers from amnesia?.

Whether we gain anything or not, I and my family are for GEJ, anything to stop born to rule gamberians in 2015 is ok for me.
You marginalized yourselves. You pick and chose who you make friends with, you pick and chose who you vote for.

If after almost 16 years you have nothing to show for your friendship and affiliation with one party and you are still in love and dying to be with the same political party and the same folks you claimed marginalized you, then blame yourself.

Your local and National leaders from the EAST are part of every government in Nigeria from president to vice president, chairman, director, secretary to the FG, ministers, ambassadors and so on. It's their job to fight for you at the federal level to make sure that your region gets federal projects so hold them responsible and quit pointing fingers..

You marginalized and confined yourself, other people didn't do it for you. You reap what you sow...
Politics › Re: Igbos Jonathan And 2015 by aresa: 11:15pm On Oct 05, 2014
The Jonathan presidency is modernizing the Lagos–Kano rail which is bound to have a significant impact on the economies of these two states and their neighbours. Neither Lagos State governor Babatunde Fashola nor Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwanso has ever kowtowed to the president for this strategic and capital-intensive initiative. But the moment the president promised he would start the second Niger bridge, Peter Obi, in his capacity as chairman of the Conference of Southeast Governors, mobilised large delegations of Igbo leaders in a well-choreographed show of endless public adulation and obeisance to Jonathan.
Bottom line, non GEJ/PDP states gained more than the so called loyal and blind supporters in the EAST. They have gas pipelines, fast train from Lagos to Kano paid for, new deep seaport which the FG just paid it's own share or $200 million while they hurried up and repainted a warehouse with 2 old cranes called Onisha port in the East.

They know you are already in the bag and you have nowhere else to go so no incentive or any kind of urgency to address your needs and demands.

What exactly is your return on investment?

You keep shortchanging yourselves and losing year after year all because of tribalism and hatred.

smh...

I can't decide if you guys are serious or just trying to be diversionary with this kind of statements. Is this simply a lack of understanding of the constitution (primary school civics)? When did the President become responsible for jailing criminals? What is the job of the judiciary and what is the place of separation of powers?

GEJ talked about institutional reforms but that flew right over their janjawid reactionary heads. I just tire for all this ignorance. I will just stick to the sexuality section.
Of what use are the institutions when the commander in chief himself betrays and undermines the institutions by parading around and appointing the same crooks under his own EFCC's investigations.

Even his new CHIEF OF STAFF was indicted of corruption in 2000 and barred from holding public office.

His own spokes man aka Okupe is a con man. He scammed the people of Imo state. The con man was paid over N1.2billion, with very little or no work to show for it and he was arrested and locked up by the EFCC, but he walked free same way crooks walk free in Nigeria.

Okupe moved in to Benue state with another crooked company he made up to scam the people of Benue for N2.303 billion.

When he was appointed by this corruption loving President, he was on EFCC's wanted list.

The man should have been prosecuted and jailed, but our corruption loving president rewarded him with a top government position.

Jonathan appounted Adamu Mu’azu to head NIMASA while still under EFCC investigation.

The same crook was appointed by Jonathan to head the PDP even though was still being investigated for graft by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for allegedly looting N19.8billion belonging to his state while he was governor between 1999 and 2007.

When the president pardon and surrounds himself with crooks under his own EFFC's investigation or even corruption tainted people, he sends the wrong message to the same institutions, he undermines the same institutions, he's telling the same institutions to forget about the investigation because they now have federal cover, they are now working for the president, the commander in chief and the chief law enforcement officer.

The man is not only a crook by association, he's a crook mentally and culturally because he picks from the same crooked and corrupt pool of Nigerians.

The same crooked president gives out National awards to corrupt people that really should be in jail.

He is the number one enemy of our judicial system and other institutions because he undermine them at will and he inspires zero confidence.

1. What you generate or don't generate is irrelevant, what budget you passed to work with determines how much you have and how rich you are.

2. Akwa Ibom pass higher budgets than Lagos state and their population is almost 1/4 of Lagos state's population. Almost N100 billion more than Lagos state.

3. The only thing they have in Akwa Ibom are just the few roads in Uyo, the rest are 1 uncompleted hospital, 1 uncompleted stadium, 1 uncompleted airport, 1 uncompleted tropicana.
