RZArecta:
Like I've always been advocating, states should push for a sort of regional high speed rail network. Finance won't be a problem ie states/world bank/AfDB and even private investors so its not much of an excuse. The only thing that stands in the way now is the railway corporation being under the FG but I believe legislation can be amended for the greater good of the country. Once again, great development
This single issue is a major impediment. Reminds me how GEJ played politics with the Lagos Metro Rail Red Line.

Investors were ready with over 1 billion dollars to invest for the construction of the Red Line from Lagos to Ogun state, but GEJ refused to approve the Iddo station right off way which frustrated the investors till they eventually gave up...

Funny enough, Lagos state started this Metro Rail dream over 30 years ago, they broke ground and stationed heavy equipment in Yaba and even paid millions of dollars which the state lost after the FG refused to guarantee the loan and forex for the projects and this was done by the same PMB as the head of state.

Same way OBJ frustrated Tinubu's 271MW IPP which was the 1st IPP in Nigeria. Imagine Lagos state today without FG's bad bele, lack of vision and foresight and crass tribalism. I see many more Metro rail and fully developed rail system in Lagos state without that shameful and anti progress intervention by the FG 30 years ago and even Lagos state with many more IPPs today if not for the same shortsighted FG bad bele and frustration.

The only silver lining is the fact that Lagos state did not give up on their Metro rail dream, they just picked the right time to dust off their plans and resume work on the same project 30 years later..

Lagos state is not short of good and visionary leaders, the problem is always the FG.

I will take the pain of educating a retard like you. When Nigeria was going into independence, it has just one university located in Ibadan. The regional leaders decided to build one university in each region and one in Lagos which was the Capital. The following where built, University of Ife in western region, University of Nigeria in eastern region, University of Northern Nigeria in northern region and University of Lagos in the Capital. However, when Awolowo died, university of Ife was named after him, when Ahmadu Bello died the university of northern Nigeria was named after him. But the Igbos being unappreciative and ungrateful breeds they are, they refused to name the university after their so called founding father. Instead they named him after a 3rd tier university in Awka.

You mean kemi Adeosun the quack economic minister?
The useless and incompetent okonjo who presided over the largest income generation in the history of Nigeria, but end up borrowing hundreds of billions to pay salaries, sho even told us to get ready to suffer when oil was selling for $80 in 2014 did great, but Kemi Adeosun who is still keeping Nigeria afloat with oil selling for $30-40 with looted and depleted reserves the same okonjo participated in is quack?

So who is the real quack. Okonjo who stole and gave our billions of dollars to dasuki to loot and share with her cronies was the quack?

If Okonjo couldn't avoid borrowing hundreds of billions of dollars to pay salaries when oil was selling for double than now was the quack?

In fact, if her only advise back in 2014 when oil was selling for $80 in 2014 was for us to get ready to suffer and for austerity, exactly what kind of advice should we expect from her with oil selling for $40? Sell or auction Nigeria of course.

We know who the quack was and it was failed and incompetent okonjo..

Jonathan Had No Political Will To Save - Ngozi Okonjo Iweala
Good to know the useless and incompetent woman who failed us miserably and even admitted that she failed us and her failure is why we are facing financial difficulties is your role model.

The same woman who was borrowing hundreds of billions of Naira to pay salaries back in 2014 when oil was selling for $80 is your role model?

The same woman who told us to get ready for austerity and to suffer back in 2014 when oil was selling for $80 is your role model?

The same woman who was so incompetent to that she couldn't even keep track of our money and also who looked the other way while ministries and MDAs operated multiple accounts for years designed to loot and avoid depositing generated funds into the federal accounts we gave this woman to manage is your role model?

The same woman who either did not know Billions of NNPC dollars was missing under her nose or knew but looked the other way till SLS raised alarm before she finally admitted that $10 billion was missing?

Under this useless and incompetent woman, Nigeria was making over $100/barrel on oil, Nigerian made more than enough money to needed to successfully diversify our economy and it was her job to do so as the economic coordinator and the finance minister, but she failed to do so, all she has to show for the money we paid her and her position was a battered economy and a VIDEO she made confessing how she failed us and how she threw her former boss Jona under the boss.

The only part of her life that did not fail remains her own pocket and hustle...

If characters like this failed, useless and incompetent woman is your role model, you really need to re access your life and entire existence to avoid failure.

PoliticsRe: Is The Treasury Single Account Really The Cause Of Our Recession-part One? by aresssa: 5:38pm On Sep 22, 2016
TSA is not responsible for the recession and also has nothing to do with the banks and the mk money problems they are facing.

The Bank was part time of our corrupt and economy under 16 years of PDP corrupt government.

When the going was good and when Nigeria was selling oil for over $100 per barrel, the banks just like the FG did not diversify their holdings or roll in new income generating products and instead banked and stacked their future on banking stolen public funds and TSA that never belonged to the Banks and should never be part of their holdings and life support.

The banks are now in trouble because there is no more looted funds to deposit and the looted funds logged in the banks are either frozen or returned to the government which remains source of their primary problem. The banks lived large on fake and corrupt economy that they helped to create.

Secondly is TSA is not their money and asking for that money is like asking for FG bailout which they are not entitled to.

Our priority right now is to lay strong foundation for real life economy where the banks, the FG and the entire Nigerian society stands on their own 2 feet and not on corruption and fake economy.

If the banks are crying for what's not theirs, then they should pack up and go home because they are not real banks.

TSA is for the FG to spend on infrastructure and crate jobs for Nigerians.

Bro go through these links, the schools were built by private investors

http://osun.gov.ng/education/oschools/model-high-school/

Students in the high schools are within the age bracket of 15 to 17 years. This category is currently known as SSS 1-3 but will henceforth be known as Grades 10-12. The infrastructural facilities have been designed to accommodate 3000 students. Other facilities in consonance with international academic standard will include a standard football pitch, recreational facilities, laboratories, libraries, food court and examination hall to sit a minimum of 1000 students. Academic activities would run from 8am – 5pm.

Private investors would be encouraged to build students’ hostels and staff quarters on agreeable terms and conditions. The high schools would be sited on the premises of old schools with large grounds of not less than 10 hectares.

Construction work on a High School model is currently going on in Ejigbo while contract for additional 10 were recently awarded in various locations across the State. Government is committed to build a total of 20 High Schools in the first phase.

More evidence !!

https://www.today.ng/news/nigeria/176358/school-commissioning-aregbesola-decieved-buhari-osun-pdp
“We want to alert the public and President Muhammadu Buhari that they were deceived as the new school is not a public school as publicly presented at the commissioning. Contrary to reports presented to the President and the public, the school is more or less a business outfit to charge high fees in an impoverished Osun State,” the statement noted.

“In its usual deceptive and propagandist manner, the state Governor did not inform the President and the public that the school was funded with a Sukuk loan and will therefore be run not as a public but high fee paying private school.

We can reveal that the Oshogbo high school commissioned on Thursday will be managed as a commercial entity by either Olasore International School, Iloko or Corona School, Lagos. The managers are to charge high fees like the elite private schools
