Buhari unites, Akufo-Addo divides – Kofi Adams

The NDC National Organiser Kofi Adams says electoral victory for the opposition party in Nigeria cannot be used as a signal for an impending victory for the opposition NPP in Ghana.

Kofi Adams says Nigeria’s opposition party All Progressives Congress (APC) won the historic election in 2015 because it was led by a unifier, Mahamudu Buhari.

But the opposition party leader in Ghana is a divisive character, he described on Joy FM’s Top Story Monday.

The main opposition leader Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been rallying Ghanaians to follow the Nigerian example where an opposition party limited the sitting President to one-term in office.

Highlighting this similarity, Akufo-Addo said “Nigeria showed the way last year…we hope this will turn out into a lesson Ghanaians can learn from our neighbours that change is sometimes needed after just one full term”.

The Southwest, The Third Largest Economy In Africa.

The GDP of the entire nation of Nigeria, the largest economy by far in Africa, currently is about N130 trillion naira(about $594 billion US dollars)(Wikipedia, list of African countries by GDP(nominal)). The Southwest, one of the six geopolitical regions of Nigeria, has an estimated GDP of about N67 trillion naira( about $305 billion US dollars), more than half of the GDP of the nation.

By our estimates, the Southwest region was the third largest economy in the continent of Africa n 2014

https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/172621/to-the-people-of-the-southwest-the-third-largest-economy-in.html
And that was even in 2014..

The SW is definitely going to be the largest economy in Africa in less than 40 years...

No, not all Nigerians voted against GEJ, just check the difference between PMB and GEJ numbers.

Also check compare the 2011 and 2015 voting patterns, you will notice the SW made the difference.

The SE/SS and the North voting patterns didn't change much.

But my greatest anger was that the antiGEJ noise from the SW was the loudest, even till date.

How many Northerners have you seen getting emotional about GEJ corruption issues, yet they always voted against GEJ.

Come 2018 we will start the Anti-Buhari propaganda, the way we trumpeted the GEJ propaganda.

That is why I said we Yorubas take Nigeria issues too serious.
1. The anger against the North and Turai's kitchen cabinet for trying to deny GEJ the presidency came from the SW, not from the SE or the SS. SWners risked their lives with protests and demonstration to put GEJ in office.

2. Come back with a better argument and documented proof to show us how the SWners were the only electorates that voted against GEJ.

You really need to stop bothering me with your baseless and illogical argument without facts and documented evidence to back up your claims with...

Egbon mi, who is not corrupt or incompetent amongst all Nigeria leaders.

The problem with the Yoruba Nation is that we always see things from an Perfectionist ideal world, due to our education and training, but Nigeria is not that ideal world and most people don't care.

That was why Afeniferr and other Elders cautioned the Tinubu groups about their fight against GEJ.

Look everyone(SS,SW,SE and Northerners) knew GEJ was corrupt, but we Yorubas carried the matters on our head like Nigeria was our single creation.
And the North as usual capitalized on this.

The Yoruba Nation should stop trying to be more NIGERIA than other groups, it is not worth it.
Saying GEJ was corrupt and incompetent and also saying all Nigeria politicians are corrupt are 2 different things.

I said GEJ was kicked out by Nigerians for corruption and incompetence, I never said all Nigerian politicians are not corrupt.

Again, last time I checked, Nigerians from all over the country voted in that election to get rid of Jona so what's Yoruba people got to do with your argument? Were Yoruba people the only electorates in that election? Yes Or No?

Yorubas colluded with their Northern masters to edge out GEJ simply because they were not allowed to control and loot the treasury.

I disagree with you. SW aligned with the North to edge out Jonathan of SS whom SE also took as their own. In other words, SW did not want SS/SE to succeed. That's why they aligned with the North. So now, SW should not be angry if SE/SS align with the North. A Cambodian man once told Henry Kissinger, former American Secretary of State, that 'To revenge is to make a bad man better'. Maybe an alignment between SE/SS and the North will make the SW think better. Maybe it will teach the SW to think of uniting with other regions in the South. Maybe.

You that can not stand on your own productively and economically and to survive must run like chicken to the SW for your daily bread is talking about other people...lamo. Have you looked in the mirror lately?

Do you see SWners running to the north or the SE or even the SS for anything? Or in your puerile mind, the fact that Nigeria still exist as a country means the SW can not stand on her own?

You want your ipob village, but you are yet to pack your load from the SW and the North back to your village, your governors, ministers and national leaders are yet to resign from the Nigerian government and start fight for their ipob village so what are you talking about? Or that's what you call standing on your own?

SW want bridge,m they build their own bridge, but SE want bridge, they have to beg and beg the FG for 30 years to build 1 little bridge so is that standing on your onw?

SW want airport, they build their own, but not ipobs, they have to beg and beg the FG to build it for them? Is that what you call standing on your own?

The FG bastardized Lagos Badagry express and refused to fix it, did the SW cry or beg for 30 years? No, they took the road from the FG and are now turning it into a 10 lane freeway with Metro rail and BRT access, 1st in Africa, something they won't experience in your village in your lifetime.

You can take that to the bank...Forget individual basis...
And that means what? It means the SE is dominant economically and the rest of the country is trooping to the SE to seek opportunities and benefits from ibo multi millionaires or it means you and your people are no longer trooping to the SW for opportunities and your daily bread at the slightest opportunity...

1. Right now, SW Nigeria is the 5th largest economy in Africa and about to be the 1st largest economy in Africa because of the reasons listed below

2. The largest single refinery in the world is in the SW, not in the North, not in the SS and not in the SE

3. The largest petrochemical plant in Africa is in the SW, not in the North, not in the SS and not in the SE

4. The largest fertilizer plant in Africa is in the SW, not in the North, not in the SS and not in the SE

5. The largest Gas plant in Africa is going to be in the SW, not in the North, not in the SS and not in the SE

6. Oil is already on tap in the SW, not in the North, not in the SS and not in the SE

7. SW economy is the most diverseness in Africa from oil and gas to insurance, banking and finance, arts and entertainment, dominant food, literature and culture, not in the North, not in the SS and not in the SE

8. All the ground breaking projects are in the SW and nearly all the investments entering Nigeria goes to the SW, not to the North, not in the SS and not in the SE

9. 90% of the industries in Nigeria are in the SW, not in the North, not in the SS and not in the SE

10. The educated and ready manpower needed to move any society forward and desired by global investors are in the SW, not in the North, not in the SS and not in the SE.

At the end of the day, the North is going to hold on to Abuja while the SW holds on to the crown jewel which is Lagos state and everything I listed above and the SS of course is going to hold on to their oil, terrorists and militants to keep blowing up themselves..

So, in this scheme of things, what exactly is the SE going to hold on to? Your imaginary richness and zero infrastructure, zero industries and so on and on...?

Politics is always a game of chess and we all got moves to make..

Fact is, ipobs and many in the SE are more about hate, bitterness and emotions minus principles and sane ideals.

These characters hardly hesitate to team up with anything and anybody as long as that anything and anybody is against the SW.

They won't hesitate and even jump at any opportunity to wine, dine and bed mate the devil with 10 horns as long as the devilnis aginst the SW.

You guys will come online and be writing rubbish, Eko Atlantic is a private public project owned and been develop by Elias Saad and brothers from Lebanon, Elias Saad, Chairman of Eko Pearl Towers, Eko Atlantic development is being carried out as a Public–private partnership, with private companies and investors providing the funding, whilst Lagos State Government is a strategic partner, with the support of the Federal Government. The Contractors are China Communications Construction Group, a company that works in the field of marine dredging and landfill operation. Consultants are Royal Haskoning (traffic and transport expertise) and ar+h Architects. South Energyx Nigeria Ltd. a subsidiary of the Chagoury group was specifically created to undertake the development
EA is indeed a private project, but what's stopping rich states like the Delta states with less than 5 million population from thinking up and coming up with the same private investments and projects?

EA is a multi billion dollar project which goes directly into the Lagos state's economy with thousands of jobs across the board.

Sensible and responsible leaders drum up private investments to develop their states and create jobs for their people, it's their job and should be the job of your own village leaders who are too clueless to seek such investments hence you and your people constantly running to Lagos for jobs.
