Flets: [s]Shame on Buhari for attending the security council meeting that he has avoided for 4years just to see the electorate disenfranchised.
How can Mr Integrity insist that the electorate whom he seeks their votes and are qualified/ registered be denied the opportunity just because he thinks he has an edge?Another shame on Jega.
How on earth can you insist to go ahead with an election when you failed to distribute 30 million out of 68 million PVCs? is it not outright robbery to disenfranchise almost 45% registered voters?
Just last week, the last 15 million PVCs where flown in and yet you insisted to hold an election 10 days after?
How come the embattled NE have more PVCs distributed than the SS?
Why the choice to hand over northern PVCs to the emirs and sultans than the LG INEC officers like its done in the south?
All eyes on Jega henceforth. His alliance to the northern agenda is obvious and he showed his cards too early. [/s] Why are you losers scared of Febuary 14th? |

Another key sector which has experienced stagnation for the past 6 years is the power sector, which is key to industrialisation and development. Despite the unprecedented level of investment in this sector, and increase in electricity tariff, power generated continues to remain at an embarrassing 4000kw and less (this 4000 could even be attributed to Obj and Yar adua) over the years. I ask: What has Jonathan achieved in the power sector for the over 5 years he has been in power? |

Obinoscopy: So Jonathan isn't clueless after all. His ability to wield the Army shows he's in control, he's in charge. GEJ is definitely a clueless man who allows those arround him to think for him. With the sort of criminals who surround him, it is no surprise if he keeps making reckless decisions that could jeopardise the stability of this country. GEJ is very very clueless. |

doctokwus: This report almost made me to shed tears. But it was patently obvious from the nauseating attacks on GMB person by Fayose that that man is capable of descending to any depraved depths to have his way. It also explains y GEJ and PDP have been trying to use all types of tactics to either disqualify buhari or have d elections shifted;they have clearly seen GMB wud win and there is no method to rig the election. I have been telling people;when GEJ leaves office come may 29,the kinds of things that wud be revealed about his regime wud be enough to even make the devil weep. Honestly, this is terrible. Nigerians do not deserve these kind of people piloting our affairs. These are criminals that should be left to rot in jail. We must all make sure these people are kicked out of power and made to pay for their crimes. This is unforgivable. |
Politics › Re: Sambo Replies Soludo, Opposition; "Only 100,000 Barels Stolen Daily"- Sambo by arewafederation: 1:29pm On Feb 04, 2015 |
onegig: Let's even assume it is just 100,000 barrels.
That's 100,000 ×$54 (price per barrel) =5.4 million dollars lost daily.
Multiply by 365 days
365 × 5.4 million dollars= 1 971 000 000 (1.9 Billion dollars yearly)
That's roughly 2 Billion dollars yearly.
Multiply by Current exchange rate of 195.
You would have around 400 billion dollars yearly.
Let us put things into perspective more.
That's the total full year budget of Osun and most states for 8 straight years.
If that is curbed and thrown at our educational sector alone we would have 1000 percent turn around.
I give up on Nigeria. Dont give up on Nigeria..... Change is coming..... Sai Buhari... |

Nobody expects the army to admit planning to overthrow the government. Those insinuating plans to set up an interim government are not too far from the truth because some of the actions of this government and the military leaders as reported by some reputable news media support those allegations.
GEJ is a drawning man who wants to drag Nigeria along with him but IN SHA ALLAH, Nigeria will overcome their evil intentions and will get the positive change it requires. |

KEVIND: We members of Winners Chapel will Vote for President Jonathan. How could a right thinking Christian vote for a religious fanatic like Buhari. He thought he can deceive US by picking a redeemed pastor as a running mate, But he can't outsmart US. We members of Living Faith church know better & we have more than 5million members Nationwide. We refuse to go back to Egypt.we're on Our Way to the promise Land and no one can "CHANGE" Our direction. And you expect every right thinking muslim to vote for GEJ. The problem with GEJ and his clueless followers is your inability to look beyond their noses. You spite people without thinking that you need those people's votes. The other day, many of you were celebrating the relatively large crowd that attended GEJ'S rally in Kano, the same crowd you all refer to as almajiris, terrorists and all sort of denigrating names. This hypocritical nature of you Jonathanians plus his second to none incompetence has cost your messiah a lot of votes in the coming elections. |
