2. OBASANJO SUPERVISED ILLEGAL IMPEACHMENT

PETER OBI 2006 was bullied out of office
Peter Obi was denied his mandate by INEC in 2003, an impostor PDP candidate Chris Nwabweze Ngige was inaugurated in tandem with the dictate of Chris Uba. Peter Obi was installed by the court in 2006 after three years of seeking Justice. But he was to be impeached within 7months by pro-Obasanjo PDP led House of Assmbly amid illegality. To get their way the state assembly's speaker said some of the 23 members who had apparently voted to impeach Mr Obi later denied being present when the vote took place. However, the Obasanjo Government upheld the Impeachment. Chief Bayo Ojo who was the Attorney General maintained that “Peter Obi has been impeached”

RASHEED LADOJA was impeached by less than 2/3 Members
Then Oyo Governor was Illegally Impeached by 18 Member of Oyo House rather than 22 members of the house. He had fell out with the late strongman of Ibadan politics in 2006 Chief Lam Adedibu. Adedibu a nonpolitical office holder and ally of Obasanjo vowed to sack Rasheed Ladoja like he(Ladoja) was some appointee of his. Oyo State House have 32 Members, rather than 22 Members to sign impeachment, Chief Obasanjo as President deployed soldiers to a hotel and only 18 Members signed the Impeachment of Ladoja rather than the 2/3 members which is 22 members. They never sat in the House but in an hotel at that. Obasanjo allowed it to stand. The Appeal court came to the rescue when it upturned the kangaroo impeachment and installed Ladoja after 11 months on 1 November 2006.

Governor Joshua Dariye of Plateau State impeached by 5 out of 24 Members of Plateau State House of Assembly in 2006
Pleateu State House of Assembly has 24 Members, because President Obasanjo wanted Joshua Dariye to be booted by all means, he used the Security Force to mobilise 5 members to”impeach” Dariye amid tight security. 5 members out of 24 members impeaching a Governor.

3. Obasanjo Disobeyed The Supreme Court
In March 2004 Obasanjo seized funds meant for Local Government in Lagos State. Then Governor Bola Tinubu went to court to get the monies so as to pay civil servants salaries and run LGAs administration. The Supreme Court ruled in LASG favor in December 2004 but the same President Obasanjo vehemently refused to obey court order. He kept to his stand till he handed over to Yaradua. For 3 years LGAs in Lagos were starved of their statutory funds. Then AD Nat Publicity Secretary said this in 2005 ,

6. President Obasanjo Refused To Sign The FOI Into Law

I honestly feel this thread is laughable considering the fact that everybody knows Obj to be the founding father of democratic corruption. But you forget that Obj is not the man we are voting for, he is mainly used as a tool for canvassing more support in order oust the most corrupt government on earth. It is rather unfortunate how you wish to rubbish the image of APC because of their relation with OBJ, a man whom PDP would wish to be on their side.

I never really took the guy serious when I came back to this forum a month ago. I was surprised he was on progressives side. I once had verbal wrestling with him when he was in PDP's camp. I will continue to participate in politics without fear or favor but when it comes to issues that bothers on National Security, I am always being careful. If you listen to Obasanjo carefully, he wasn't even sure. First he said GEJ was training snipers, till date we haven't witnessed any politically motivated assassination. Now comes the issue of ING. The question I will throw at you is "For who" and by who? How possible and rational is that considering that the handover date, election dates all falls within a stipulated time in the constitution? On the election shift, the law permits INEC to even shift it until April 28 date. That doesn't come as a surprise but a shock. What about the ING? How will they be able to manipulate the law? Three postulations were made which is real? If you say it was to keep the government in check, the question is is it morally right to play politics with National security? You seem to have forgotten that this govr doesn't give a damn about the constitution, or the law and will manipulate it or breach it whenever it deems fit. A simple example is the case of speaker Tambuwal's defection to APC and the manner it was handled by the presidency. If the govt will go as far as firing teargas to the honourable members for Tambuwals defection, tell me what they will not do now that their seat is threatened.

The present govt is already playing politics with national security by forcing JEGA to postpone the election, and possibly have more sinister games up its sleeves which Obj and Sahara reporters most likely have a hint on.

Don't underestimate the dubious nature of PDP.

My dear barcanista, even if the reports about interim government are mere propaganda, I think it is a healthy one. The signs that this govt does not intend to handover to Gen. Buhari if he wins are conspicuous even to the blind. The reports even if untrue, will help checkmate the govt and could make it drop such evil intentions if it has any.

The accusations also coming from Obj gives more credibility to the "propaganda".Obj may be a disgruntled old man, but I don't think he is going to make it up. You can also give it to sahara reporters that their stories most oftrn, turn out to be true.

Nigerians need to be kept at an alert.
