"Investigations further revealed that the lawmakers were earlier promised automatic tickets by the sacked exco, for any elective position of their choices in return for the ouster of Mr. Nyako which the presidency was so desperate to achieve as at then. “But it seems the party in Abuja did not intend to honour the promises made, especially when the high-powered political game of who gets what’s began last month,”
PDP is a party of deceit. |

@topic, you are very correct. Even without using the site as a case study, I have come to realise that in my day to day activities. Nigerians are majorly a corrupt and very dishonest people. What baffles me most is the level of religious piety they display. Hehe... This is soooo true. Nigerians are hypocrites which is why I don't take religious leaders serious. The worst set of Nigerians are those that claim to be the most religious. |

Acidosis: Mr man; this man has done greater things in the state (including an International Airport) without any media noise; you don't just build a world class stadium in a city like Uyo and expect the governor to keep quiet an make it look like one of these township stadiums in your state.
I don't want to use the word "dum. b" but must we criticize everything? including issues we clearly don't understand?
Publicity sells people! Where did you people come from? Ijebu-land? You support spending as much as a billion naira just for publicity in a state that lacks basic infrastructure? Stop telling lies about the achievements of Akpabio who doesn't know is priorities. Bross, you know nothing about good governence that is why our leaders will continue to bleed us dry. |

Most people who support Gen Buhari do it for the love of the country and not for monetry or any other selfish interest. As Joe said, GMB is the best person to restore normalcy, put the country back to the track of progress. Only brainwashed youths and corrupt elite who have a lot to hide will go against a Buhari candidacy.
Joe Igbokwe, you will always earn my respect for speaking without bias. |

[s] For your information, Nigerians shall not allow a repeat of the massacre of 2011, after Buhari lost the Presidential election. [/s] Ask the people of Lagos and Kano what their APC leaders have done for them. Tell me, what has PDP offered to Nigerians order than pains, grief, hardship and death? Nothing can ever be worse than a PDP led government. Let's not derail this thread before Baba Alakyo go vex send his juju to hunt you... |
Politics › Re: What The Difference Between APC And PDP? by arewafederation: 9:38pm On Nov 18, 2014 |
barcanista: Under Kwankwaso, office of the first lady was scrapped. Foreign trips by government officials reduced drastically, he stopped the sponsorship of pilgrims whether Mecca or Jerusalem, as a result he reduced recurrent expenditure and pecked Capital expenditure by a whopping 75% despite the relative low allocation and large proportion of civil servants. He provided electrification and water project to all the 44 LGAs making Kano State. He fired top Directors frm the State Civil Service for corrupt practices. All these and more are lacking in Jonah's regime.
The last prominent official to be jailed for corrupt practice was Chief Olabode George. Funny enough he was jailed by Yaradua's administration and was cleansed under Jonah's government. Despite the various corrupt scandal, no high profile official have been jailed by this government. In fact, what they get is pardon and the cases tried by yaradua are either withdrawn or government refuses to show interest thereby giving them a clean bill of health (eg FFK).
A political party by law is a public association owned by no one. Nobody can be rejected registration by a party. However, it is not to say a member can't be prosecuted. In fact, Obj a PDP President Prosecuted and Jailed more PDP members- from Adolphus Wabara(Senate President), 5 Senators, Minister Osuji, Gov Alamesiegha, among many.
He doesn't need to tell you what he will do to corrupt officials, he proved it in 1984, he will do it again.
The EFCC Act, ICPC Act and other statutory code makes provision to tackle judicial and legislative indiscipline(including corruption). Obasanjo even prosecuted a sitting Senate President.
Politics of tribe and religion has become the trademark of the government and PDP. I am Proudly Ijaw that wants the best for my people and country, I don't subscribe to tribal politics. Nice response... Mr.Aribisala is gradually becoming a nuisance with his write ups which are devoid of objective criticisms. The guy will be a good replacement for Abati. |
