Sinners

For we men of the high sea, it finally arrived. Two scenes I absolutely loved were musicals

1. Sammie singing in the juke club, the mixing of all genres of black music and not leaving our Chinese brethren out. That was beautiful.

2. Remmick singing and stomping with his brethren after successful evangelical outreach.
grin grin grin

The movie was good, 7/10 in my opinion.
That was my favourite scene. I didn't see it coming at all and I really enjoyed it.

*4/10. The is show was gutter quality.

The first few episodes were ok, but they just veered off, and started mixing plots from other shows and movies diluted with unwanted melodrama with the hopes of getting a S2...and they even tried a last minute hail mary shock value, with one nonsense reveal by the end, but i wasn't moved, as i had already caught on to their BS by then.

Proper dustbin show 🗑️
Such exquisite violence.

I heartily approve.

I saw this news the other day and I was laughing, with all the shout and talk about how Amazon has greenlit up to 5 seasons before S1 even premiered.

I remember we had arguments here about viewership numbers and audience reception. People were claiming they're committed to 5 seasons because some executive mentioned that shït on paper.

With this move.... it's not looking even good for Rings of Power with the amount of money they've spent and the continued drop in viewership numbers.
So that one might be cancelled anytime soon after S3 premieres and isn't a hit.

It's a shame I already downloaded some episodes and about watching the S3. I'd watch it nonetheless and see the growth with the production team.
Wot had s2 and 3 Greenlit before the premier of S1.

Which scene is it?

I got alot of From Dusk Till Dawn vibe from the movie. Though I honestly feel they should have made it into a series, rather than a full length movie.

A series would have had the time to focus on character development more and throw more insight about the twins, and their shady dealings, heck, they mentioned Al Capone. Lol.
The Irish jig routine. I liked it.

Yes it had a lot of dusk till dawn vibes and we all knew what was coming. It would have been nice to go in expecting a hardboiled action movie for it to turn into a vampire movie.

Yep. It would have been lovely to see that as a series. Thise boys were hard to death.
TV/Movies › Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by armadeo(m): 5:34pm On May 24, 2025
Sinners.

Honestly I've heard almost everything about the movie + spoilers and clips.

It was still amazing. I think there was something about seeing two MBJ at once. The synchronicity was quite captivating.

The rest of the cast did a stellar job.everyonw is on about hailee stangield but my heart was stolen by jaymee lawson. She was just sensual from the first scene like an erotic temptress. I'll have fallen flat and laid down accepting my fate.

All in all it was worth the hype and met all expectations. There's one scene I didn't see coming and haven't seen spoilers on it but I was taken aback and amazed. That was my favourite scene outside the barn.

Worth the watch.
